It provides a meaningful remembrance of a tragic part of our history. It is a beautiful park.

Several benches scattered along waterfront make this a good spot for birding. Barrow’s Goldeneye ducks are often wading along the shoreline.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are well-behaved and rarely off-leash. There are several bag dispensers located along walking trails.

Beautiful small park with a lot of good views of the water, harbor, and of the sound in general. Lot of good history to be learned from the displays here that take you back in time. Short walk in general, but connects to the greater Ruston parkway walk so you can make it longer if you want.

Clean and nice access point to the trail. There was plenty of parking when I went at 5:30pm on a weekday.

I like to visit this park, but I always get very upset when I see the vandalism that's been done to the sculptures and Pagoda, which by the way were a gift from China. The mouth on the sculpture used to have a loose ball carved within behind the teeth. The stone teeth have been smashed out and the ball is now missing. There's graffiti and scratching all over the red lacquer and parts of the wood structure have been broken off. There's always somebody sleeping in the pagoda and peeing all over it. The Pagoda is starting to look a little shabby. Considering it's not that old and was a special gift from China representing something that the city proclaims to be of the highest importance to remember, I'm saddened that the city doesn't do more to protect it. I want to give the park five stars, but the fact that the pagoda looks vandalized, I can only give three stars. By the way, from what I remember, the original red lacquer was much more vibrant, but when they had to repaint it, I'm assuming to repair some early vandalism. They used a lesser paint that makes it look chalky. It's sad.

I was aware of the history and details of why this park is a good thing. It's a nice place to relax, walk around, and take in the sights. The tracks to the South and the trains are why the Chinese labor was imported.

It is a nice little park by the water. The landscape is pretty good and unique. I learned a lot of interesting information about Chinese emigrants from the signs on the rocks in this park. It's a little bit small for me, but worth visiting nevertheless...
