The Tacoma Book Center is a beloved local bookstore with an extensive collection of over 60,000 books. Customers praise the wide variety of titles, from car manuals to DVDs, that can be found in the store's "maze-like" layout. However, some note that the disorganized nature of the shelves can make browsing challenging. The staff is described as helpful and knowledgeable, though the lack of an inventory system can make finding specific books difficult. While the store's cozy, warm atmosphere is appreciated, concerns have been raised about accessibility for those with mobility issues. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Tacoma Book Center remains a cherished community hub for book lovers, with one customer even expressing a desire to work there.
Great old fashioned used bookstore. Books piled from floor to ceiling. Especially good selection of military titles.

So many books; so little time to read all of them. I could live here because it is my version of heaven: warm with unlimited books to read.

I love this book store! However, they need to offer their customers a bathroom! When I have to leave because I need a bathroom, I don't go back. They lose money because of it.
