Excellent exhibit with anything from paintings, prints, photography, textiles made into art, glass sculptures a true sensory delight. All the colors and shapes were amazing. Super nice and knowledgeable staff are available to answers all your questions. They have a cafe on the main floor, a gift shop and three levels in the building. Once on the top floor you get a nice view of the city and if lucky on a clear day the opportunity for very nice pictures of the structures surrounding the museum. You are within walking distance from the glass museum and other amenities in the area. Breweries, restaurants and nice scenery everywhere. I highly recommend this location.

Most of the works were by contemporary artists. Each piece had its own story. There were many interesting titles.A piece I discovered at this museum led me to visit the Daniel J. Evans Library, located 30 to 40 minutes away. It was quite an interesting art journey.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of this museum. It has multiple floors with galleries showcasing Native portraiture, landscape scenes, bronze statues, Chihuly glass, modern art, etc. This museum makes me want to visit Taos in New Mexico because all the artists I liked seem to end up there. They also have a little balcony (or a terrace) with a view of Tacoma Dome.

Free neighborhood nights on Thursdays, otherwise it’s $18 for an adult ticket with other discounted options. Annual memberships ensure you never have to wait in line, and if you visit 4x a year then it pays for itself with perks! The art is beautiful, with some favorites that I always look for and hope aren’t rotated out for other pieces. The museum brings great exhibitions with a goal for inclusion, and I feel they do a great job. It’s big enough without being too big. Highly recommend visiting and also keeping an eye on what is happening… they have yoga!

I was surprised how long I spent in this museum given I always get through galleries quicker than most, guided experientially, but with this Tacoma collection, you would really miss out not taking your time to read and let that guide your pace. I appreciate the curation, and written content contributions throughout which have me a larger appreciation for what was less known art and largely, untaught + unexplored in such depth, Native American history tied into current day

This museum only needed an hour of parking, but it was nice to have a shaded lot. This museum had showcased glass and Native American art and more. We very much enjoyed the exhibits and would recommend this place.

The Tacoma Art Museum is not your typical museum. It's a unique space that shows art in a really artistic way. You can tell that this museum is remarkable from the moment you walk in. The arrangement is wonderful, and the art is displayed in an innovative and meaningful manner. It also offers event space for rent. The layout ideas are outstanding, and they give the ideal atmosphere for any event, whether it's a wedding, a corporate event, or a private party. Customer service is also good, and the personnel is polite and informed. I will host my birthday party here this time.

Spacious. There was an exhibit under construction, but most of the museum was accessible. Very kid and wheelchair friendly. My kids loved the interactive art area. Most times, they have staff there to assist. Free parking in front if u can get a spot. It's right next to other museums. Free Thursday after 5pm.
