So services were covered by warranty, and my deductible is $100. I’ve filed a claim with my warranty before so I know it goes. I feel like I was over billed. I paid, $500.00. For everything all together it was around $4100.00. When I tried to ask why does it cost so much I did not get a clear response right away and when I picked up my vehicle Sam told me the warranty doesn’t cover taxes. Which I thought was strange bc last time I filed a claim with my warranty I didn’t have to do that. When I was given the long list of things that were done to my vehicle it was not clear on what exactly the warranty covered and what was my responsibility. So, It was the end of the day and I was tired so whatever fine I paid it.
Also during this visit I requested more the once to get an oil change even at the end confirmed that it was changed and it was not changed. I was pissed.
I’ve brought my vehicle to them before and everything was fine and everyone is so great but after this I’ll never go back or recommend family and friends. It’s so hard to find honest mechanics. I’m just a girl trying to hit the road safely with her kids.

Southend Auto used to be well known in my family for the care they took on your vehicle, but a negative experience has soured me on them. Mark, the owner has an undeniable customer focused mindset and still let's personally involved in customer resolutions, which I respect. I still cannot justify going back at this point in time, however.
I made an appointment to get my vehicle diagnosed as I was having some problems, some noises upon acceleration and when turning the wheel. It's been a while since this occured, but I remember I gave a laundry list of strange noises and symptoms I was having with my Forc Focus 2012, manual. As they're pretty much only open during the week, I made an appointment for a few days ahead of time, took a day off work in order to drop off my vehicle and get a ride home. I dropped it off first thing in the morning, hoping I would get it back the same day. I didn't get it until the next day I believe, which is understandable considering how busy they are. What is not understandable is when I retrieved it, they hadn't even gotten it on a lift and given it a diagnostic as I was seeking. I was told someone drove it briefly and didn't notice any of the symptoms I dewcribed, and that was the extent of it. Luckily I wasn't charged anything, of course, but the loss of wages and my car's issues no closer to being resolved stung enough.
I get you're very busy, but don't take my appointment if you aren't going to follow through. I lost money by not working that day just to have my vehicle not even looked at thoroughly.
I'm glad for everyone who has positive experiences here, but it's gonna be a pass from me. Also Sam at the front desk was pretty rude to me, I tried to sympathize and build a little rapport with the dude as he seemed frazzled, frustrated, and overwhelmed with other, unrelated business when I had come in to retrieve my car and I mused about how "today is a crappy day for everyone, huh?" To which he scoffed and replied something along the lines of "Actually my day is great, MY car runs." Ouch, dude. I wish Mark the best and hope my experience was just an outlier.

Great experience from the moment I walked in the door. Had a diagnostic done told me what the problem was did the work and got my car back to me in a day and a half. Even called to check on how things were going a few days after. Would highly recommend them if you are looking to get your car fixed.

Good shop. Quick oil change. Easy to schedule and they will actually look your car over to ensure what they see is
working correctly.
Update 07/24/2024
Had some additional issues, took it back and they covered it all under their 24 months/24,000 warranty. It is their honesty and professionalism that will have me continue taking all 6 vehicles to SOUTHEND.

Work to be done tomorrow, but I cannot thank Sam and his team enough for spending hours on the phone dealing with a very stubborn warranty company, getting them to approve a very much covered service . They really want to put the shop and the customer through so much ridiculous red tape, I'm so happy Sam is knowledgeable about warranties and how to use correct verbage to get the right results. thank you so much !

This place is Amazing! Worked with Sam who was friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Most importantly I trust this place! They have rental cars if you need one! Mark checked back with me after the job via text and phone. They came as a referral to me and I will be doing the same!!! Trustworthy auto care is hard to find been taken a few times. Great first-time experience! Blaine, Sam and the team took excellent care of our car, beating out the dealer price for service and letting us know that the some of the dealer-suggested service items didn’t need to be addressed immediately.
The team at Southend has made a customer for life with their honest dealing, quality service and great communication throughout.

I took my work van in because I had a leaking power steering fluid problem. They charged me $800 to change 2 hoses for power steering and its STILL leaking til this day. My van was overheating so I took it to them again. They charged me $2000 for heater control valve and radiator. And after they did all that, I had a leaking coolant problem. They told me it was the head gasket and it will cost $4000+. I got a second opinion and it was not the head gasket. It was the water pump. I told Sam about the water pump being the issue and not the head gasket and he didn't believe me. They are over charged, creates more problems, and they take forever to do the job wrong. Not right, but wrong. I will never take any of my vehicles there ever again and nobody should take their vehicles there. If you want to get ripped off then go ahead. But don't say that I didn't warn you. NEVER AGAIN. BEWARE!

I had a terrible experience with them. They told me I had a blown head gasket and told me they had a very expensive machine that tells them how many hydrocarbons there are in my engine. $4000+ to fix it. I wanted a second opinion so I took it to a different shop and they had the same expensive machine and told me there was absolutely no way it was the head gasket. I had a bad water pump. Fixed the issue right away. I also had southend auto change my oil and they over filled it with ½-1 quart extra oil. They were trying to blow my head gasket so they can be right with me having a head gasket problem. These guys will create more problems for you in the future rather then fixing the problem. The owner don't care about the customers. All he cares about is money money money. They ripped me off for THOUSANDS of dollars and my van still has problems til this day. DO NOT GO THERE! THEY WILL OVER CHARGE YOU AND DO A VERY VERY BAD JOB. NEVER EVER TAKING MY VEHICLES HERE EVER AGAIN! THEY CAN'T EVEN DO AN OIL CHANGE RIGHT. If the other shop I took it to didn't catch the overfill of oil, I would've had a blown head gasket. They were trying to make my head gasket go bad on purpose so they don't look stupid telling me I had a blown head gasket. BUNCH OF CROOKS! HOPE THEY HAVE GOOD LAWYERS.

This is a trustworthy shop. This was the quickest turnaround time of getting my car back after taking it for service. My car was diagnosed and fixed the same day. Mark communicates very well and does not leave you hanging. Last time I had trouble, I took it to greg’s Japanese auto care and they had it for weeks and still didn’t fix the problem. I am very grateful to southend auto care!
