I love this place. They have all the skincare products I usually have to order from overseas and for very good prices. The reviews saying the employees follow you around are true unfortunately. It didn't bother me much but I can see why it might makes others uncomfortable.

I read the reviews before going to the store expecting to be followed around as if I was a shoplifter, but I did not experience that. Yes, there are employees that are assigned to different sections in the store and they do follow you around from a distance, but they weren’t breathing down my neck at all. The employees that I have interacted with were very nice.I mainly went to the store to look at the Kbeauty items, but I could be in that store for over an hour looking at everything they have.

It doesn't matter if you're Asian/Korean, some of the employees will follow you around and watch your every move. A few of them seemed nice and smiled or greeted you, but it was clear they were around to monitor shoppers because it wasn't busy enough to warrant that many employees. I brought this up with the checkout clerk (also Korean) and explained how it made for an unpleasant shopping experience. She said, "They're Korean. That's how they are." I told her that wasn't true. I'm from Hawaii where they have a lot of Korean/Asian markets and they do not treat customers this way. As far as the store goes, they have a good selection of items and mostly reasonable prices.

I usually don’t write bad reviews but the experience here was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. The workers follow you around and are breathing behind your neck (literally) when you’re looking at stuff. Nice stuff at this place and did buy some things but after that experience, I’ll probably will look at other alternatives.

Get ready to get followed and get passed dirty looks by the older Asian Female employees. This was my first visit after hearing so many recommendations to come here. I made the almost 40-mile drive out to Tacoma from Seattle to be treated poorly by the employees. When you look at the merchandise the rice cookers and those types of electronics are really nice....the rest of their items are junky- even their dishware and pots-the general merchandise seemed kind of Dollar General to me and overpriced for what it was. like Costco but way smaller and way dirtier. Just yuck. I want to say I am Korean- I look Korean and I speak Korean and the day I went in I went in well dressed, hair done and make-up done. At first, one older Asian Woman (Korean) said hello (in English) when I walked in- I said hello back in English and then proceeded to just browse- I did not need anything- but then I started feeling someone very close behind me...I peeked behind my shoulder and it was the lady who greeted me- it was that close. Then when I turned around, she pretended to organise the bedding. I quickly left that area. It is the norm in Korean shops to tidy up after you have touched something- however, it is NOT the norm to be followed for following sake and be given dirty looks. I was overall left alone in the kitchen utensil area. Then I headed over to the side of the store with the glass cases that had clothing, and expensive little lacquer boxes (near the rice cookers). An older Korean woman said hello to me in Korean and asked if I needed anything in Korean- I responded back "No, I'm OK" in Korean. I don't know if she felt if I brushed her off...she kept n following me the rest of the time I was in her area and she kept laser-focused on me...and just passed me dirty looks. I left buying nothing and I will not be back. The customer service is horrible here and I was made to feel like a shoplifter even though I am not.

There are a lot of things imported from Korea. There aren't a lot of people and it's a lot of fun to just browse around.

Awesome place for all your asain homegoods needs. They have everything from heated rugs, to clothes, kitchen ware, futons, and all manner of bedding. We picked up a couple of adorable dishes that were well priced, and at the recommendation of one of the sales ladies we also picked up several buckwheat pillows which have turned out to be wonderfully comfortable. I can't wait until I am back in the area and can go again!

I love their Ramen pot? it's very helpful and easy/ fast to cook ramen ?, I'm literally using it everyday. Also they have glass lunch boxes in different sizes and it's really cheap ? I went there to buy skin care products after watching Instagram reel but I couldn't find much Korean skin care products. Still they had many face masks and other Korean products like, clothes, alcohol, Bedsheets, ceramic bowls, wooden plates and bowls, chopsticks and Korean style spoon etc....

I've been here a lot since everything reopened for the pandemic. I really want to shop here because I would rather my money go to smaller businesses/ corporations, rather than buy my K-beauty products from big businesses like Amazon and YesStyle. However, my money will now go to them from now on. It's very obvious that the older employees (who are the majority) follow those who are not Korean. Whenever I went there (I am Asian, but not Korean), they would leave me alone. However once I did not respond in Korean to the employees, they continuously followed me. I also went there with my mother, who is a Black woman, and they were even worse. Wherever my mom went, there was an employee right in the aisle. To make it worse they would get very close to her if she picked up an item to look at. These uncomfortable experiences have made it impossible for me to want to step foot in the store, and I warn many people about this bias. I understand worrying about theft, but when your business practices are so clearly biased, I cannot spend my money there in good faith.

This might be my favorite store, ever. Amazing prices, incredible variety of cooking supplies/tools, skin care, teas, home goods. Employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I make trips to Tacoma just to go to this store. Love love love

I love going to places like Daiso because there's always some tiny tchochke, whether its for the kitchen or electronics or stationary at a small price. Sis had us drive out to check this place out and it was dope. SO MANY kitchen items, bedding items, cool hats, beauty products. Is it all made in China? Probably, but it was nice to have so walk down the aisles discovering new things. This is the place I would go to if I need to supply an Asian restaurant. They have cool plates, utensils, sake sets, etc that are priced to purchase in bulk but are just as good for home purchase. They have crazy large industiral sized rice cookers which I would have killed for when my fammily used to throw parties. The only thing that loses them a star is all the staff that follows you around to make sure you don't pickpocket. I totally get it and with the way people are during these times, it's understandable, but half the time I had to walk around making sure they saw my hands were in my pocket so they knew I was stealing. I hate that the world is like that now and I don't want to hold it against them, but it definitely made me feel watched and I hate that.

Very good for cooking supplies and unique trays for washing vegetables! Many large commercial cooking pots, pans, and woks. They have a great selection of blankets and unique Korean pillows for sleeping. They also sell high quality Korean floor tables and chairs! One of my very favorite stores!
