no stars at all. but tonight was the worst night of my life and my last time shopping at Safeway . I come in to the store I only came to grab shampoo , conditioner and two carton of Minute Maid juices for my house. I was using my own reusable bag because everytime I came to Safeway there were never no plastic bags so I always bring my own with no problems and I put my stuff in my bag cause it's a lot to carry so it's easier for me till I got to the cash register like everyone else in the store. , a store clerk she's a islander lady I don't know her name stands on the same aisle as me didn't even know she was there till I looked up as I was grabbing shampoo and conditioner and putting it in my reusable bag she comes up to me and goes "can I have that"? I'm like have what? she goes what you put in your bag I said ummm okay ? like I'm being accused of stealing and I had this look on my face when I was afraid they were gonna call the cops... I gave her the shampoo and conditioner that I was gonna BUY and she goes I'll bring it down to the register when your ready and I said okay. I go to the juice aisle and their security all of a sudden walks behind me and follows me down to the cash register I asked him why are you following me ? Are you guys accusing me of stealing . he doesn't say nothing. I got to the cashier to the same lady that stopped me and asked her why is she having security follow me for when I came with my OWN MONEY. she goes " their upstairs watching , I go who ? what does that have to do with me? she refuses to answer my question than goes people been stealing lately and stealing plastic bags and I tell her out of all ppl in store at this time at night you have not only you stopping me from shopping in peace but your rental security guard following down the cashier. I will never ever shop at Safeway again this is racial profiling and discriminating that I will be calling cooperate to file in a complaint and I'm getting a lawyer to file a lawsuit for racial profiling because I never in my life have anybody especially the workers. this is the Safeway on 72nd and Portland in Tacoma

This is just a basic Safeway. Nothing special. I like this one better than the on e on E 38th St. Easy in and out. Have most basic needs. Nothing special just basic.

Came in and shopped today with my children went through the self checkout line. I thought that I had seen both the Pepsi and the Columbia soda on add buy two get two free. However, I didn't take my two free off. I asked to self check out, lady Lynda for help she was extremely rude and proceeded to tell me that it was a self check out line that she's not supposed to be helping us. I did inform her if she doesn't want to have customer service and doesn't want to assist why does she even have a job there and asked for someone else, I work in a grocery store I work in the corporate world. Customers are the hardest to deal with. I fully understand that however, talking to me like a three-year-old and being rude and disrespectful is not the way to go at that point I was done working with her, and I asked to speak to somebody else. She proceeded to tell me that there was nobody else which is a lie. I went and found Edward a manager on shift and asked for his help in the manner he first told me that it was because the phone number had already been used and that is why it wasn't working. He voided the entire transaction. I reran up the entire transaction and used a different phone number which is stupid because I know my cell phone number hadn't been used so I just use my landline, and surprise surprise, it still didn't work. He then proceeded to tell me that one of them wasn't part of the Bogo asked him how to rectify it, and he proceeded to tell me that he told my son and went to walk away. At that point I just shut down because I knew I was going to be filing a complaint it is not my job to argue with you however it is your job to honor whatever tag is in front of your product. He then came over and stared at me and asked me if there was anything else I told him no I'll have the other lady deal with it and he proceeded to take over at my self check out line. Supposedly they are not supposed to help on, and fix the situation, but was extremely rude the entire time when I asked for names, she gave me her name he did not give me his name. I happen to see his badge and I asked the lady what his name was however, she said nothing will be done. We're doing what they told us to do regardless of what they are not allowed to do And what they can't do it's not about that particular thing that happened. It's about the rudeness and the attitude and the lack of customer service that has got me to the point that I no longer wish to shop at the Safeway. It is absolutely ridiculous that not only myself, but my children and multiple other customers were all dealing with the same rudeness from the same two people , there was multiple other customers having issues and saying why are you even here if you're not willing to help

The day I went to get gas it was happened to be the cheapest around at that time. The guy working in the star part of it was not very friendly didn't say hi or when I said thank you have a nice day he didn't say a word but other than that good place to get gas.
