I went to get my belly pierced. Zac was really nice and fun. It was my first piercing and he made it a good experience. Place inside is really nice and clean as well.

WOW! I love it here, went in today at get my tragus pierced, the pricing is very reasonable & the atmosphere was amazing. He was so sweet & comforting while piercing me quick & smoothly! Couldn't have had a better experience!

Best piercing shop in Tacoma! Very professional and friendly. Zac pierced my 7 yr old daughters ears and did an amazing job. He explained every step to her along the way and made her feel very comfortable. I definitely recommend Obsidian above all others.

Well now that I've been here I will never go anywhere else for my piercings and body jewelry. I had been trying to find the right earrings and everywhere else was either too expensive or the workers were just flat out rude. At Obsidian the owner was sooo nice, knowledgeable, and helpful and his prices are super reasonable. I'm glad no where else worked out because I was meant to find this gem of a business!

I came here (walked in) to inquire about getting some jewelry changed out on an existing Conch piercing and maybe getting a new ear piercing. Zac was super welcoming and open to showing me all the potential options in my price range for new jewelry and also helped me map out a new piercing (a helix) to balance out my ear. Zac did an awesome job with my 5 year olds lobes. He made her feel comfortable and was quick. When I had a question about aftercare a couple days later he was super kind and everything has worked out great. Taking my other kid and myself soon to get ours done.Service: Ear piercing

I went to Obsidian Body Piercing for a double tongue piercing (aka venoms) and was pierced by Zac! He was a fantastic piercer and was super reassuring and professional the entire time. Their studio is absolutely beautiful and so clean and it truly reflects the standard to which they hold their profession.As someone who now has 17 piercings, I’ve had my share of encounters with various piercers and their studios. I have got to say that this was by far the best experience I’ve had yet getting a piercing and also the aftercare. Zac was extremely helpful and responsive whenever I had questions or concerns about my piercings, and did a great job of helping me through the healing process via email.I would absolutely recommend Obsidian Body Piercing to anyone who is looking for experienced and caring piercers who go above and beyond for their clients.

Took my teenager in for the septum piercing that they had saved up for. Obsidian staff were great when my kiddo went in to get pricing info and they were great throughout the piercing experience too. Love the space as well. Clean and well decorated.Service: Nose piercing

I went in and got a piercing done by Zac. The experience was good however I won’t ever come back for further piercings. The piercing I got started turn extremely red and the hole was moving so I went in and explained symptoms. I was told it was normal and to take Tylenol. It didn’t get better so I got a second opinion from a well known shop and my suspicion was right, it was rejecting due to placement (navel was done above the belly button) and the jewelry used (cheap externally threaded piece). I was attracted to the shop due to the artists experience listed on website and the few reviews I read. Hopefully others experiences are better than mine as for me, I had to take out the piercing to avoid extreme scarring and will have to try another shop to correctly pierce me for my body anatomy.

I recently visited Obsidian Body Piercing for a rather nerve-wracking experience - getting my nipples pierced. As someone who was a bit apprehensive about the whole process, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The pristine and well-maintained environment immediately put my mind at ease, knowing that I was in a safe and sterile space.However, what truly made my visit exceptional was the presence of Zac, the piercer. Not only was he highly skilled and professional, but he also had an incredible sense of humor that managed to lighten the atmosphere and calm my nerves. Zac's ability to make me laugh and feel comfortable was invaluable, especially in a situation that can be quite intimidating.Zac's expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout the procedure. He explained each step clearly, making sure I understood what was happening and ensuring that I felt as comfortable as possible. His confidence and knowledge were truly reassuring.The entire process was quick. My sister and I went to Obsidian last night as walk-ins. Even though it was right before closing, the owner welcomed us right in. My sister got an orbital conch piercing and also lobe piercings. I got lobe piercings. The place and the process were clean. The piercer talked each piercing through with us to make sure the placement would suit our individual needs, based on the type of jewelry we planned to wear. The Halloween decorations (including a Beetlejuice that spewed one-liners ) were on point. Prices were totally reasonable, especially compared to some other places in the area. Would totally go back, super pleased.
