They have state of the art machines but I just ❤️ the way that your insurance dictates if you get access to it. Long live USA ??!!!!!

There are kind and knowledgeable people here, but you won't get to see them more than once.Let's lead off with the fact that very few good reviews have been left for this place for a couple years now. Our care is not your priority and it shows. I am so sad so many people have left here feeling like I do.I wish I had the money to sue this place for mental damages. Here's my story... had wonderful care here for years! My provider left the practice and I was given another primary. For years I requested another provider because mine was not refilling meds on time or checking messages and in my appointments made me feel like I was just another annoying 10 minutes to get through during their day. Here's what finally happened that is the last straw for me...Because it was so hard to see any doctor in a timely manner at this place and I was being passed around so many times no one seemed to know my story anymore and I was having to explain my concerns every single time... I decided to start seeing a naturopath to have an actual personal and important doctor patient relationship again that I was not receiving at TFM. One of my medications was still being refilled by my doctor at TFM because naturopath was not able to prescribe or refill ADHD meds. One day the refill stopped and I messaged and received a call from someone at the office.Important background info: I have been a clean and sober individual for 9 years now. Never had any issues with drugs. Dont even smoke weed. I dont drink because when I did my health was horrible. I am rather proud of this improvement in my life, but I think people at this practice in Tacoma are used to a high population of drug users these days and are probably fed up. When the last woman who called to inform me I needed to have a new drug test I was confused because I had not been on the med. It wasn't refilled. So it would not show up! When I was put on adhd medication, they required drug testing TO MAKE SURE THE MED SHOWED UP IN YOUR SYSTEM AND YOU WERE NOT OBTAINING IT TO SELL OR SOMETHING. When they called me at the office to set something up when I asked about changing doctors the tone changed in her voice and all of a sudden she started responding to me like I was just another addict in Tacoma that didn't want a drug test. Test me anytime! But I told her I had to think about it because if they would not let me change providers I will just be back where I am month after month, suddenly stopping my medication. They should listen to the recorded phone call and hear this woman talk over top of me at the end and straight hang up on me! The way this made me feel for days was horrible. I just didn't understand. And I am sure it was transcribed that I refused a drug test... that's because without taking the med, it won't show up! I encourage people to seek care anywhere but here. "Since covid this is the state of things" repeated to me so many times to me from this practice. I decided to just stop the med to avoid going here again. And if this is "the state of things in Tacoma" since covid... I will drive hours then to find a doctor who actually cares about practicing medicine and their patients wellbeing.

I just called once again, and the person who answered said they were not accepting new patients. And clearly there are a bunch of providers that say they're accepting new patients. And when I said that she was like sorry for that incorrect information, like who updates this stuff. I'm needing to establish care with a new provider since my office moved out of town. And I asked where I could go and she said uhh.And said were not the only facility in town. Thanks for no help. Everytime i've called up there your receptionists are very rude. Please get more understanding people. And update your website.

We love our Dr. However, the staff when you call for appts are completely rude and simply do not care that one they've cancelled your appt when told not to or cancel without evening calling you notify you. That they cannot give proper clarification on where your appts are going to be. I've been yelled at, hung up on, transferred to customer advocate lines who do not answer and mailboxes are completely full. I've been told my family can't be seen and more. Ive left a voicemail for Christina Bradley to call me back with no return of call since Tuesday 2/21! The office called my husband three hours before his appt on Tuesday and cancelled/ told him it was changing to an over the phone consultation for the second week in a row even though, he needs in person and it specifically states this for his reason of visit. This is unacceptable and the fact that no one can return calls to address these concerns is absurd.

Definitely not using this practice any more after almost 12 years in April. I called today with a very simple, yet serious question. I was greeted by Susana, who seemed very pleasant initially. As soon as I began my inquiry, her tone shifted and it was obvious that she was making many nasty assumptions about my character and intentions, she refused to provide any assistance and began treating me incredibly condescendingly. I asked if I could speak to her supervisor and she said, "Since you're not a client, a supervisor is not available to you." I still have not had my question answered. Again, my son has been seen here for many years. Not any more.

I hate making complaints but this one definitely needs to be made. Every month for well over a year my provider refuses to respond to my pharmacy, refuses to respond to messages in which I am told by staff is the only way to reach her, and refuses to fill my prescription in the time it needs to be filled. I have had to suddenly stop my medication now almost monthly. I ask the clinic to have someone in charge to please take care of the situation. All they do is send more mychart messages she refuses to read. I have talked to several higher ups in the multicare patient advocacy and complaint system and though they have always been friendly, it never helps. Every single month I am back in this situation. It's hopeless to get anyone to care at this facility, even when their management sends them high priority urgent requests. Because of this I am now onto the next step of filing an official complaint with the health department. Enough is enough. Oh... they also said my only option since she won't read the messages from staff was to make an appointment to be seen by someone else to get the prescription filled. In other words, to get my monthly prescription I would need to also pay them for an extra office visit just to get someone to do what my Dr. Should be doing!? I work in early education, I can hardly afford my insurance and prescription costs. Last year I even had an appointment where the residency nurse practitioner I was assigned to didn't know the solution so asked if she could have another provider come in to listen as well and give an opinion. This doctor came into the room for a total of 3 minuted and i was billed for two appointments because of it! I only hope more people are not put in the distress that Tacoma Family Medicine has put me in for the last couple years. This facility and their practices all need to be investigated. It's just not right.

Love my doctor. The MyChart messenger is apparently useless though. I sent a message nearly 3 days ago and it's been looked at multiple time without response. Ended up having to make an appointment somewhere else due to the urgency of the matter. Very disappointing to offer a feature if they aren't going to use it. I'd rather they just turn it off.

I made an appointment to be seen as a new patient close to 4 months ago. I was called today to be told that they needed to move my appointment to February 12 of next year. My only other option would be to be seen by a different provider at the same office in November. But I couldn’t stay with that provider for continued care. I would need to transfer to the original doctor I was going to see. When I asked about a potential timeline for that I just got circular answers. I would find another clinic to be seen at before wasting time here.

This place is a joke... I went to wrong medicine place and they won't reschedule my son who has autism ADHD and ODD during this terrible pandemic... I can't believe that Dr kalwani won't see him now and I have to find a new provider for him ... I scheduled in July and couldn't even get a sooner appointment then September they had no problem giving me the phone line for a new provider but couldn't just reschedule even though I called the place and waited to see if they would make an exception but no they wouldn't what kind of place puts people through this kind of turmoil I am so upset and stressed now that I have to find yet again another pediatrician....

I would do 0 stars. I'm not a patient but my boyfriend is. There are soooo many things WRONG with this place. I'll make a list...1. When we call, we get straight attitude the entire call the moment we say my boyfriend's name, professional right?2. They will leave you in the waiting room, then when you go ask about the appointment they give you attitude, again professional right?3. Mychart messages get read and no reply for weeks.4. Mychart messages get switched around, and questions NOT answered.5. They let the doctor handle his complaints.6. They make appointments without contacting the patient.7. The doctors will talk over you, when they FEEL they got the answer they want. (In office AND on a call)8. They just want your money, because they really do NOT help the patients.9. They will REFUSE tests that it states you need to have.10. They believe that your pain is in your head and won't help the pain.11. They lie.12. They will say they have specialists on the case but NONE of them will call or make an appointment. (Again this resident lies)13. They will NOT let you change doctors.Want me to keep going? It got to the point that my boyfriend has contemplated suicide because of this office. We got referred to them by my Mom, because she had a great experience 10+ years ago. We are humans not test subjects. Google says temporary closed and honestly, it should be, with the not so caring doctors.

I honestly give this place no stars they were great during my pregnancy but after my son was born it has been impossible to get him in they are now temporary closed and sending patients to other buildings I have been trying to get my son in for his vaccines and each time I got to the building they sent me to I was told they could not do them they are wasting my time as well as my gas and they are incredibly disorganized. I have been trying to get a hold of a supervisor with no luck for over a week now and will be finding a new office to take my son to. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend ever save yourself the time and energy and find a new doctor's office. This place is not worth the time energy or stress.

Ive been going to this clinic for 20+ years and have ALWAYS received top notch medical care. The majority of the employees I've dealt/deal with have been courteous, respectful, and professional. Referrals and prescriptions can be a headache at other clinics but not this one; they keep right on top of it.

I went here a couple times last year for anxiety and insomnia issues. I saw Dr. Robertson, who decided to double my antidepressant dose while putting me on Buspar "as needed" for anxiety. This was a disaster! She upped the dose too quickly and Buspar does NOT work as she said so I ended up having way worse anxiety and panic attacks. I called and called to ask her about it, wrote a message on MyChart, NO response. I finally got a virtual appointment (by which time I had had a complete meltdown). She understood my problem but was very judgmental about the supplements and natural solutions I had tried with my naturopath - who was way more helpful. I ended up switching doctors after this experience. On the bright side, the rest of the staff are kind and caring. Kudos to them.

Been going here a few years.my original doctor retired and I found a new one I really liked. But they fired my doctor during the covid vaccine mandate. Made an appointment with new doctor and had to wait 3weeks to be seen, just to get here and find out they randomly closed for the day and never called. Had to reschedule another 2 weeks out. But I am looking for a new doctor/office right now as I have had 3 previous bad experiences with this office. Put off looking for a new office since I hate going in general. But this was my last straw.
