This is a fun place to shop and visit. always well organized and clean. It is a thrift store so you can't expect perfection but the prices are very low and reasonable. The staff are welcoming and friendly, especially for volunteers. I enjoy my visits.

Today I went to Life Center Thrift Store - Tacoma and was disgusted by an employees attitude. There was a homeless man in there who was talking to the employee behind the counter. He was loud and you could tell he had some mental issues. Apparently from what the employee behind the counter said, after the man left and very loudly, this homeless man broke one of the lights out front the night before. The employees who disgusted me was a bald man who I’m assuming was a manager. At one point he was on the phone with the police about this homeless man. As I was finishing up another employee mentioned to the manager the homeless man wanted these shoes and showed him. A customer said something about giving him the shoes. The manager said “no he can pay for them he has $5.” The customer said “really he has to pay for them?” The manager said “yep! He has money, I saw it a 5 dollar bill he can pay for them.” The customer shook his head and continued to walk out. I said I buy them for him. This manager, THIS MANAGER said “no you don’t have to do that he has like 3 people looking g after him! He has money he can pay for it!” I said “no I’m good I got it.” I asked how much the employee said the manager said $5. She said he wanted new shoes because his were soaked. The manager said yep $5 plus tax. Mind you the store is alway 50% off so that would be $2.50. Everything in that store is 100% donated. They’re a thrift store through the church. They couldn’t out of the goodness of their heart, give this guys $2.50 shoes that weren’t even in good condition. What really set me off was the fact that he told me no when I said I would get them. Zero respect, zero compassion, zero kindness!

This place is amazing!! It's genuinely what you expect a thrift shop to be as far as prices go and on top of that every thing is 50percent off of whatever the sticker price is..It's nice to still have a thrift store that's a thrift store in name as well as prices!! Not like some of the other places you know who I'm talking about "G$$D Wh$$L".….Keep up the good workLife Center you.are deeply appreciated!!
