“Had a great experience for my first stay at this hotel, definitely no complaints. Hotel staff was especially nice and went above and beyond. I left my wedding ring set in the room and called after I had checked out and returned home, the staff found my rings for me and shipped them to me the next day. Pleasantly surprised with the genuine staff here. Will be back!”

2102 S C St, Tacoma“Second time staying here. They're currently remodeling (they were at our last stay as well), but it was quiet the whole time. The rooms are nice and very tidy. All of the members of staff have been really polite. The free breakfast might not be the most exciting, but they offer several options and it's tasty all the same. They offer a small on-site parking garage but it is extra to utilize it.The selling point for this hotel was that it was a walkable distance from the Tacoma Dome.Rooms: Very tidy, the newly renovated rooms are very nice!Nearby activities: Pacific Ave has several food options. There's a few breweries nearby, too.Incline Cider is literally across the streetThe Tacoma Dome is walking distance away!Walkability: Noted already, but loved that it was a reasonable walking distance from several food options and the Tacome Dome. No need to pay outrageous parking fees for concerts”
“My girlfriend and I went to see Pink Trustfall Tour at the Tacoma Dome, and it was one of the nicest clean places I've ever stayed. Breakfast was super nice. Many varieties of breakfast were available”

2920 E R St, Tacoma“There are two locations; fife and Tacoma. I like both. For the hotel, Fife is pet friendly, Tacoma is not. For the gaming floor, fife has a more down to earth (I mean biker bar seedy) feel to it which I find rather comfortable. Tacoma has a higher class (higher minimum bet and flashier games, more lights and shiny decor) feel to it, which I am comfortable bringing my mother to.”
“We attended a wedding in the Tacoma area, and the location of Marriott Downtown was perfect. Easy access from the airport to the hotel, which was great. Rooms were very clean. Staff friendly and very helpful when needed. The restaurant off the lobby area was handy, food was good and reasonable prices.”
“Nice clean rooms and convenient location close to, but not right on the freeway. Parking is tight and limited. Staff was decent but were mostly interested in their phones. Good hotel for the business crowd. Great little Mexican place right across the parking lot.”
“The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They answer questions throughly and make sure you understand. I met Miss Tiffany the first day I checked in and she has been very sweet. I have been here for over a month. If an issue arises, Miss Tiffany and her team takes care of it promptly. I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.Rooms: The rooms are spacious with plenty of space to put your belongings.Safety: They ensure the safety of their guests.Walkability: Very close to restaurants, stores, and bus stop.Food & drinks: Has vending machines 24/7.”

402 St Helens Ave, Tacoma“Got a little better manager I have known her for years. It has a lot of things to fix but not helpful very bad management and unfair treatment . I've been assaulted twice and the security guard is fake he didn't care if I was ok or not. Seattle office is not good ethier the stress here has been horrific. Told I have to move my storage and will not let me have time to do it it's the holiday time and it's closed most of the time . I need help I'm 73 and injured refused a relocation fee like everyone else got and the men I ask to help the manager and security guard said I can not use that person so I couldn't leave and was then made to get in more trouble with the court because of them.”
“Everything was great except there was only 1 lightbulb I had to switch from the main room into the bathroom.. I probably could have asked for another bulb... But didn't...”

8726 S Hosmer St, Tacoma“I have to edit this review because I didn't do this place NEARLY enough justice. My life was falling apart around me. I lost my grandmother, my home, my family and I had been searching for somewhere to stay that wasn't a shelter. Thats when we found the Howard Johnson. This wonderful place took us in (for a price, nothing is free after all!) and housed us for nearly 2 months till we got an offer from someone else. For 2 months, I went to school and came back to call this place home. For 2 months, I had a hot shower and a bed of my own. The rooms are kept immaculately clean between visits, and the fact that they have rooms that walk into one another (when you book the BIG ones) was just amazing. The staff at the time were some of the nicest people I had met. The breakfast down in the lobby made mornings bearable and the news networks they had on at the time usually had feel good stories playing. The air conditioning ACTUALLY worked unlike a few of the motels we had been staying at prior. The balconies are really nice, its easy to stand out there and get lost for hours listening to the traffic zoom by. Snowfall looks beautiful from those big sliding glass doors. For being in a weird area, it was probably the best thing that had ever happened to us.Im back on my feet now, with a house of my own, and it's all thanks to the howard johnson for keeping us alive. It may be a hotel, but in my mind, I still call this place home.”

It’s been a rough couple of weeks and he made it easier for me. The company is blessed to have him. I will be using this hotel solely for his customer service in the future.”

2611 East E Street, Tacoma“Rooms: Very clean and comfortable.
Just wish we could have been able to turn off the bathroom fan.
Safety: Secure underground parking with key access to the garage and elevator.”
“The rooms are clean but a bit outdated. Front desk is friendly, breakfast can be ok depending on the day. If you can get in the main building you're ok, if you get into the side building try to get a second floor room”
“The hotel is a bit dated as our carpet had a tare where it transitioned from the tile, but the room was extremely clean. You have the freeway on one side of the hotel and a very busy street on the other side, so peace and quiet are not on the docket. However, the staff was the best I've ever experienced in a hotel. Kathi in the dining for breakfast went way above and beyond to make sure everyone was served. Latrisha and Jasmine at the front desk were extremely helpful, and Michael (the cook) also made sure we were well taken care of. We stayed here for about three nights and everyone always new our names and made sure they did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They are the reason I would highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms: Rooms were very clean.
Nearby activities: Restaurants and coffee shops all around. Note: it is not very close to the Tacoma Mall.”
