We had multiple associates ask if we needed assistance during our visit. Store was well organized and felt cozy - my son and I toured around all the departments, trying out drums and Ukes while my partner chose a very decently priced used Breedlove acoustic. Sucks we have to wait two weeks before picking it up - we are from out of town so it's a bit more of an ask - but understand the policy. Pleasant experience and great customer service from Dragen and others there.

Good products, but every time I go in there and ask a question I get a tone from them like I'm annoying them by asking a question about something they sell, sure they are friendly and have customer service but they aren't good actors cause it's easy to see through that you annoy them

It's a small store but pretty well organized. They were really busy the day I was there and no one greeted me or asked if I needed anything. Too bad I was looking for a new digital piano. Ended up buying it somewhere else.

This location has definitely gone downhill over the years and probably just needs to close for good. The store used to be a Musician's paradise and now it's the complete opposite. I've been known to frequent the pro audio section and they went from having the best keyboards, drum machines, interfaces, monitors, microphones, headphones etc. to the worse selection. The employees have 0 to little product knowledge and take forever to complete transactions. Dee is the worse and had the audacity to raise his voice and speak to me in a disrespectful and unpleasant tone as if he were challenging me. I explained to him that my time is of the essence and I didn't appreciate him ignoring my needs and assisting several other customers that arrived to the checkout counter after me. I was on my lunch break and it took approximately 45 minutes to get an item the he told me that "he guaranteed wasn't in stock." He failed to realize that I had contacted the store previously that morning and when I spoke to Steve he told me that he had the item in his hand. I tried to explain but Dee wants to be a know it all so bad that he basically ignored me. Then he tried to act like I was the problem once I got offended. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars at the Tacoma, Tukwila, and other Guitar Center locations during the course of the last two or three decades and I never experienced such treatment. I'm definitely not pleased with my shopping experience and wouldn't recommend anyone to shop at The Tacoma location unless they're prepared to experience their worse shopping experience in life!!! "Just say NO and save yourself the inconvenience..."

I went into the store ready to purchase a 4 string base guitar, but no one asked if I needed help finding something, I was there for quite sometime, no one came up to me. So, I left .. the store on 38th Street Tacoma, WA, has horrible customer service skills. They need more training on that ..

It’s good if you’re desperate and need an item quick. Staff are knowledgeable and no hassles. Easy to get in and get out.

Me and my aunt just left this store. We’ve never been here before and came in to buy a tambourine. Kevin gave extremely terrible customer service.
Very suspicious behavior and following us around in the store. VERY unfortunate. We will not be back and will not ever recommend this store to anyone.

If you want to try out an instrument before buying it, this is a great place to come and do that.
Only giving them a four because their checkout process seems to take a while. We were the only person in line and it took about 20 minutes for them to figure stuff out. They're nice though.

Bought a display guitar and told it would be discounted at a certain price. I was charged full price when I declined their warranty. Very unethical business practice.

If I can give zero star. I would. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Never in my life. I've experienced such horrible service. Even fast food workers can provide better service.
Especially from the long hair Debbie downer guy. Who's expression shows the world. He is miserable in every aspect of life.
Do your self a favor and skip coming here.

Ordered online for pickup and had my order cancelled the next day. Called in and had the same item put on hold to pick up on the same day at the store and when I showed up after driving 45 min they had sold the item put on hold. Terrible experience dealing with this store. Awful customer service.

I will never do business with guitar center and I’m happy about it. The store manger KENNY. This man displayed such nastiness, It was beyond egregious. Can’t put it into words. I was thoroughly disgusted!
