They’ve been very helpful and the ADA room is big enough for my husband’s electric wheelchair to maneuver.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They answer questions throughly and make sure you understand. I met Miss Tiffany the first day I checked in and she has been very sweet. I have been here for over a month. If an issue arises, Miss Tiffany and her team takes care of it promptly. I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.Rooms: The rooms are spacious with plenty of space to put your belongings.Safety: They ensure the safety of their guests.Walkability: Very close to restaurants, stores, and bus stop.Food & drinks: Has vending machines 24/7.

So I came in to check in for my room, I had a reservation and already paid. I expected to check in and go to my room. They said oh sorry even if you are a reservation we already gave your room away. Here let me send you to the one in fife. And she told me she would refund and cancel my reservation. But I ah w yet to see the money come back. It doesn’t even say pending. It says finalized and that my money was taken. So I go to fife and get a room where I have to pay again. The room was great and their service was eh. But now I’m 110 dollars more broke. And if this refund doesn’t go back to my account. I’m going to sue

Possibly the worst place we’ve ever stayed in.1) Parking. Gated but very cumbersome when you want to bring your luggage in. No possibility to drop it off near the entrance. 2) Noise. Dogs in neighbouring room were barking incessantly. The next morning, Sunday, we were woken up at 7 o’clock from the loud noise of the TV in the room on the other side. The dogs started up at the same time. A total racket at 7 o’clock on a Sunday morning. Lord, get us out of here!3) Breakfast. Ok, our peaceful weekend getaway is ruined already. We’ll just have the included breakfast and leave. But all there was to eat were packages of instant oatmeal. No milk, and no spoons (!!) Terrible coffee, and tea, and no milk, no cream. No eggs, no fruit, no toast, no yoghurt, not even cheap orange juice. Nothing. The staff was friendly, and gave us a spoon. But we will never return.

I have stayed in my fair share of sketchy hotels and motels, and this is not nearly close to being the worst. I want to make it clear, my expectations were low. There's nothing *wrong* with it, exactly. But everything is just slightly... off. For example... The driveway into the hotel leads directly toward a security gate, but you have to turn left at the last moment into a tiny loading/unloading lot filled with cars parked in parking spots clearly labeled "NO PARKING VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED"Check in was quick and simple, and the staff person was polite and efficient. She explained that the hotel's parking lot is secured and that entry just requires my room key. Ok. And 'breakfast' is served on the small table across from the entry desk from 6 am to 9am. Oh. Ok. Pass. For... so many reasons. But mostly because I will not be up before 9am ... ever. While they were checking me in I looked around the lobby and tried to identify the smell of the place. It was a combination of hotdog water, stale cigarette smoke, flop sweat and desperation. After checking in I bopped back out to my car, parked in one of those clearly labeled no-parking spots, and went around to the gate. At least it's location was obvious. But... the security gate has 2 layers, for some reason. A folding bar, like at a railroad stop, that has seen better days. It appears that it has been broken and repaired by someone new to the concept of hammers and nails.Behind the bar is the enormous metal gate that SWINGS outward toward you. So, I guess it's good that the bar is there? But based on context clues - the gate being the NEWEST thing about the entire hotel and the bar having been broken in the long ago of yesteryear - I'm betting someone decided the bar was less of a barrier than a suggestion. The rooms are small and clean. Mine had a queen bed made of solid granite, a kitchenette with a full fridge, cook top and cabinets. IF your plan to stay for an Extended time, you can ask the front desk for cookware and things to put in the cabinets.Speaking of which, for a room that is approximately 12 x 15 there are, for some inexplicable reason FOUR lamps around the room. Not one of which is set so that it can be easily reached while laying in bed. And that's not counting the overhead fluorescent light in the kitchenette/entry way and the light on the hood fan.Interestingly... there is a note on the hood fan to remember to open the windows when cooking. Because the hood fan does not actually vent anywhere. It is really just there in case you need your cook smoke lightly swirled. Which... honestly, might account for some of the hotdog water smell. The other thing that might be contributing to the smell that permeates the whole building is that the bathroom does not include a ventilation fan. Woe Betide Those Who Go Number Two.Unfortunately I did not discover this particular... feature... until it was too late for me. But, having seen the note mentioned before I went to open the windows to let some fresh air in. Lo and behold.. there are braces screwed into the frames of the windows that stop it from opening more than 2 inches. My expectations weren't high. But they were not met, either.I'll try the Holiday Inn Express down the road next time.

The customer service here is pretty fair they are very friendly at the customer service desk some of them are very professional there is two to three nor Maybe four of the customer service individuals that I have encountered with have been pretty fair the two that I really like would be Ms Tiffany and Miss Nisha, the other ones that I know by name like Suraya, Miss Phyllis, Ms Eileen, and oh yeah I can't leave out Mr Dan they all have been pretty friendly and fair so come to the extended stay can't go wrong. The housekeepers are here do get down with getting the rooms clean nice and clean. Once again thank you Extended Stay because I have to make this home for a second.Safety: Police cams are everywhere and the Tacoma police station is right up the street.Walkability: Tacoma MallFood & drinks: Tacoma Mall food court.

Would have loved to have a hair dryer in the room.Basic hotel, served well for our purpose. Secure parking, lots of people with dogs. People cook in the units so the hallways get smelly.

I am shocked by all the good reviews I'm seeing. Are we talking about the same hotel? ESA-Tacoma is the worst hotel experience I've ever had.I love that management responds to the bad reviews as though these matters are being taken seriously, when they are obviously not.1) When checking in, there is no parking. You have to either block someone in or park in one of the many "No Parking" spaces, in which the resident smokers out front become the parking Nazis and yell at you for parking there. Are they getting paid to do that, or are they just entitled?2) The smoking rules are absolutely NOT enforced, as long as you are outside the building. You can have a whole group of people right outside the ONLY entrance smoking whatever they please, and it's totally okay. Even though that smoke permeates into all the windows to guest rooms. The sign in the front is a 25-foot sign, the one in the back is a 100-foot sign but you can literally smoke and hug the building simultaneously. I used to be a smoker, but smokers still have the ability to be respectful of other people, I'm pretty sure. There was a cigarette butt in the hallway all day, even as the housekeeping carts were in use up and down that same hallway.3) The only entrance is very inconvenient when all the parking is locked up tight in the back of the building. So you carry all of your luggage from the back to the front, including going through a big gate, I hope you just have to make one trip! I understand that this is a safety measure, but why not turn those "No Parking" spaces out front into spaces available for checking in, loading and unloading?4) Yes, there is a partial kitchen. A sink, a fridge, and a double-burner stove top thingy that won't boil water. No oven, and the cabinets and drawers are empty. You have to request a kitchen package or something like that to get any utensils or supplies. And the more you have to bring in with you, the more you have to haul around the building from the gated parking to the entrance and around to your room.5) The Tacoma mall, being right across the street, makes for some seriously sketchy people and activity, so walking around the building isn't the safest thing, day or night.6) There is a sign posted above the kitchen burners that instructs you to OPEN YOUR WINDOWS for ventilation while cooking. Because that's safe. And with my room being right where the "smokers lounge" is, I could not even open my curtains the entire time I was there, let alone open a window.7) There is absolutely no noise ordinance here, you can be as loud as you want, as late as you want and the front desk person plays the ignorance card, even when the noise is coming from the area where the lobby is located. Inside, outside, humans, dogs, all the noises, everywhere. In fact, daytime is the most quiet time you'll get. Bring earplugs!8) The free wifi is not secure here, so be careful with your online activities.9) I love that this is a pet friendly hotel, but there is dog poop in the back parking lot all over the grass, so watch your step. Speaking of pets, no one here, including dogs, children and adults alike, have apparently ever seen a cat before. If you bring your cat, prepare for people/dogs/children to ogle in your window, play with your cat through the window, or even attempt to get to your cat through the window.10) The hot water in the shower was great. But the water from both sinks got warm after several minutes, but never hot. These people are psycho. Go somewhere else if you plan on sleeping, eating, or being safe or comfortable at all.
