This review is strictly based off the professionalism of the staff. They are so rude it's crazy. I've been going to this Pharmacy for years and I go for the same reason as everyone else, the price. But to be honest, the staff is so rude it makes you not even want to deal with them.

As of April 2024 any non-members are required to be escorted to and from the pharmacy with an employee watching over their shoulder from the moment you enter the doors until you leave. A massive violation of customers’ privacy rights and extremely condescending when I’m simply trying to get my prescription and leave.

God forbid you have any questions about your prescriptions, the whole staff here are clueless and condescending. Costco had 3 weeks to have my prescription for surgery ready and then when I come to pick it up they don't have any in stock. If you end up on the line with Victoria hang up and call back to get someone else, she's a very disrespectful "pharmacist". If it wasn't for the dog food I'd be canceling my membership because of Victoria.

So after the pharmacist belittled me about my appearance she had me “have a seat” while she spent the next 15 minutes helping other people. I asked for a timeframe and she said it was ready. Called someone else over to help me and then they had to called someone else over. I’m spending $300 on needed medication. I apologize that I look like I’ve “come from a funeral” at 7pm after getting off work. Wow.

Unprofessional, rude employees. I came in the same day that I was prescribed eye-antibiotics, to make sure I don't lose my eyeball and they didn't have it yet, they told me it would be in BY NOON the next day(Saturday) and promised they would send me a text when it comes in.I was waiting on the text and it never came; by 2:00 I had other appointments to attend to. Despite NEVER getting a text, I decide to go in to check anyways, but made only made it there at 6:00pm on the dot(exactly at closing time), they refused service to me.I would have came in earlier in the day but they never sent me a text as they promised, and I assumed they were behind schedule. Considering this is their fault, I would have thought they would still provide service to me despite being ONE MINUTE late, to make sure that I don't lose my eye due to THEIR own failure to fulfill their promise. They would rather I lose an eye than to stay for one extra minute to rectify their own mistakes. They are closed on Sundays and I have to wait through the weekend and let an infected scratched eyeball get worse, while I don't even know if they have the antibiotics yet.

Decent service, it is why I gave 3 stars. I've been met with more rudeness than I care to say. Life in itself is hard enough. No one wants to have to deal with discourtesy when inquiringinformationor pickingrefills. It seems insolence services has become the new norm everywhere. I could only hope for better.

Complaint against Stephen M. Who works At Costco Tacoma, WA. Date 08/08/2022 Stephen came to me directly and told me I could not buy any while I was waiting on line to purchase 5 Dyson vacuums. The reason is Stephen saw a Asian man bought 5 vacuums and Stephen took his membership card and found there is a Asian woman on the account. And he saw me waiting there with 5 vacuums, but the problem is I was wearing a black mask and a white hat and I haven’t given them any of my membership card. Except my business account, I do have a personal account since 2016. I don’t like Stephen told me that I couldn’t buy without asking me which account I am going to use. And also, I don’t like he told me that I couldn’t buy before I have reached the cashier or given my information. He was guessing I was the woman on the business account because I am Asian and had 5 vacuums in my cart. So I asked the manager Bryan P. to complain against Stephen about Racism. The manager Bryan said he would talk to Stephen but I could only buy if I will pay for the full price. Again, I do have a separate personal account and I do have a different membership number on my business account from my coworker’s. They told me that I could not buy them for the sale price before I even given them any of my membership. And this is the first time for me to be in the Tacoma costco to buy the Dyson vacuums. They don’t let me buy any there. I had to go to Gig Harbor costco to buy the other 5 that day. But I found there was a message in the system said I already bought 5 on 8/8/2022 by Stephen M. He put a note that I reached the limit 5 so I cannot buy any at Gig harbor Costco and Stephen hasn’t let me buy any at Tacoma. I did file a complaint against Stephen because the way he treated me differently from all the other Americans. He put a note on my business account although my coworker and I have two different membership numbers on the cards. I do believe the way he found me when I was on line before I reached the cashier is racist. And he told me that I couldn’t buy them for sale price without asking me which account I am going to use for the vacuums is unfair.

I had a great experience. I came in pretty close to close and Angela was a great help giving me the lowest price she could get me with insurance and discounts and seemed like she really cared. Amy the pharmacist was lovely and walked me through the medication. Also seemed like she really cared. These gals should get raises ? Thanks Costco team!
