Drove 20 miles and they don't cash checks in this location. Also the atendent was saying I can cash Charles Schwab checks at any another bank ... lack of information?

Very disappointing and frustrating.I am not knowledgeable about the market so I hired an advisor with Schwab. I felt my gains in 4 years were small relative to the market growth. I began making withdrawals for some real estate investing and my Schwab advisor advised me to hire a second financial manager.Though the market has been volatile it rebounded to July levels in November. But during that time I had lost over 15% of my portfolio, with two financial advisors.I am now waiting on hold a second time for a representative to try to explain it to me. The first call was dropped and the broker left a voicemail with a number for the main line to start all over again.When trying to get an explanation from one advisor I was told that they were doing me a favor by representing me with less than a $1 million portfolio, and that they had "lost money when (I) lost money".I would give one star for Scwhab for one of my advisors notifying me that I was losing so much money, and for the Charles Schwab rep. who opened the investigation into the lost funds.My free advice to Schwab is to spend more on clients and getting referrals and less on advertising which can yield poor Yelp ratings.

Am quite pleased with Schwab's Tacoma office. Very helpful, service is excellent, and my adviser always responds to questions/queries the same day. Have been with Fidelity in the past and much prefer Schwab.

Customer service at local offices Seattle & Tacoma very poor.I struggled for days to have my retired funds transferred from IRA to Roth.Found very poor service with their wealth management partner. Was treated like a child no consultation on how my money was going to be invested and why.They sold my hundreds shares of my top tech companies and hundreds of Tesla to put money on such stocks as Campbell soup etc, very low return stocks.I fired them within 2 weeks.Still looking to transfer my money back to fidelity.

CONSUMERS BEWARE! Aiding in identity theft! Charles Schwab came up on a report that I pulled showing that they pulled my credit without my permission in an attempt to open account for someone who was clearly not me. I do not know what their practices are to verifying someone's identity however they are clearly LACKING! Their office at 101 Montgomery St, San Francisco, CA 94104 is listed as "Permanently Closed" currently which is where this occurred. Not surprising!

In this unprecedented period of conducting business via telephone, one word “wow”.Yesterday, I presented my application in person at the Tacoma branch to open a simple account. The financial consultant looked at it and stated everything is in order, and will get this account opened ASAP. Received a email from Schwab acct rep from TX stating need verification. Tried to call the consultant in Tacoma that I visited with, but no luck after several attempts.Tried calling that consultant in TX and get someone from Orlando. She stated need copy of drivers license to verify my DOB.That phone call was 40 mins total, because the story has to be re-stated and researched on their end.Why didn’t the Tacoma branch ask to verify when I was at that office in person? Details. There is no continuity in rectifying a small issue. People like to work with the same individual. It’s about developing trust. Not customer friendly when bounced all over the country. Isn’t it fair like to work with the same individual to develop a business relationship especially when investing money?

Very disappointed. Opened an upper 6 figure account about a month ago which I transferred from vanguard. Customer service is very disappointing. I thought dealing with a local office would be much easier. Unfortunately I was wrong. Very unresponsive to calls and messages. Now looking for another option to switch my accounts to that will be more customer friendly.Pat F

Terrible customer service. They literally NEVER answer their phone. On top of that they blatantly avoided my customer questions and appointment when I worked around their schedule. I had to deal with the Bellevue office instead because these guys were so incompetent. I wish a zero star was a possible option because they have earned it.

I go to Charles Schwab to fund my accounts. I like going in to pay as it gives me time to look around and see the operation and it's nice.
