A commercial store masquerading behind the illusion of a co-op so they can price gouge you. Same commercial products as Fred Meyer at 4x the price. 1 lbs of Turkey is $10, almond milk is $6 … You buy your own paper bags. Giving two stars because the baked bread is good.

This store consistently seems to miss the mark on my shopping needs. While shelves are fully stocked, finding the specific items I require often proves difficult because they simply don't carry them. My recent visit exemplified this issue.Despite well-stocked aisles, essentials like dried legumes, a fresh loaf of french bread, or even a carton of half & half were frustratingly absent. While substitutes might exist, it's inconvenient to constantly adjust my shopping list due to the lack of basic grocery staples.This recurring issue suggests a disconnect between the store's stock and customer demand. Focusing on stocking a wider variety of commonly needed items would significantly improve the shopping experience.

A little pricey, but 1 in 3 women will get cancer 1 in 2 men will also. So organic is expensive but so is cancer. Say no to Bill Gates GMO in your body. The sugar I buy here doesn't get me fat like the normal one does.

I went back and forth on with her, not to leave a three or four star review. I love the idea of having a co-op in Tacoma, and love even more that it’s located where it is. Yes, takes me good. 45 minutes to an hour to get there, but it seems to be in a decent part of town with easy access and that’s important for any business. Decent is being far removed from the heaviest of the traffic. My issues with the co-op were more to do with the pricing.Most of the items that I saw at the co-op, that are also available elsewhere, or significantly more expensive at the co-op. I understand what a co-op is, and the purpose that serves, and that this is sometimes going to be the case. However, it seemed to happen far too often for most of the items I saw that are available in more than one place than just the co-op. There was the cream in half-and-half, which I’ve only seen available, one other place, that was less expensive at the co-op. This, coupled with a super friendly staff, is why I gave the review I did, and left four stars instead of three. I did remove one star for the Selection, and the small options, available for lunch, breakfast, or dinner. I would like to see that part of the store grow.

Central Co-op has a lovely salad/taco bar available every week day for lunch. Quick, healthy, freshly made and I never have to wait in line. It's an excellent lunch choice for the Point Defiance area.

I love coming to Central Co-op! Been having a hard time finding top quality produce and Central does not disappoint. They have a great alcohol selection. It's a little pricey but well worth the quality.

No warnings on the astringent fruit and the horrible Kefir. Expensive mediocre sandwiches. Only good for raw milk. Wont be returning unless we want raw milk for some reason.

Tacoma’s best locally owned supermarket. Open to the public, all organic produce, healthy, sustainable, fair trade products, local products. Friendly staff, pristine environment, lovely shopping experience.
