I went in today with low expectations not because BECU wasn’t able to do their job, but because of my own financial doubts. I sat down with Linda F. at around 5pm after a long day for the both of us! She had a great attitude and was very welcoming to get my problem fixed. Within minutes we had a clear path with a resolution to come! Once I was approved it was like the snap of the a finger and I had the personal loan I needed at a great rate! If you need help financially I would choose BECU on 6th ave in Tacoma and for sure Linda F. !

Stan Irungu was very helpful to assist my needs especially I was rushing to work. I wanted to open a new acct for my son but I need to fill out the paperwork and it was a lot to fill up so I said I'll take home and come back then he said let me fill out from computer it's faster. 15 mins we are done and I'm happy my son has new acct now. . Thank You Stan. This branch the staff was beyond nice..

Until today I have had nothing but great service from this branch, but today that all changed. My grieving wife went in to see about her recently deceased (died on mothers day) account. The person who "helped" her was smug and refused to even entertain that she had passed. He was quite heartless and instead of advising what documents she (my wife and her mother have the same legal name, first and last) would need to access the account, he just refused and said she wasn't on the account. No further help. Quite disappointing during our this time of grief.

Do not bank here for the love of God whatever you do!!! This place robbed me for $323 yesterday and refused to give it back. Their ATM machine is broken and will take your money and not deposit it into your account and then not return it to you. I have evidence of this entire encounter and the branch manager, Jesse fields refused to help me in anyway and was incredibly rude disrespectful and should be fired. He is a terrible employee and this business should be ashamed of itself for robbing it hard-working paying customers I’ll see you in court you’re not gonna rob me and get away with it you scumbags. God is watching.

Loan application process was smooth. Although i was denied, they provided a 2nd option for me, which not only gives me the power to build my credit, i can also take care of my emergency expense as well. Communication could have been a bit better initially, but Kayla, Patrick, Scott & Stanwood worked hard on my behalf & helped me take care of my needs. Top notch service, professional, friendly & genuinely care about their customers.

BECU is literally the best bank. Any and every location I ever go to, I receive the best and quickest customer service. Stan at this location was so quick to help me with replacement card and was so friendly! Thank you for your help today ????

My friend and I were assaulted INSIDE by some crazy lady who tried to snatch our card out of the ATM because she accused us of “cutting in line” after we have already put the card in the ATM and have been waiting. She physically tried to fight me after I swiped her arm away the SECOND time she reached and pushed us over to cancel our transaction and pull the card out of the ATM. Not only did she do that but she decided to hit my friends cat that was IN A CAT BACKPACK for absolutely no reason at all. The bank employees then tell me and my friend along with the crazy lady that we all had to leave when we were minding our own business. There was a way she could have handled that but instead she decides to reach over to grab someone else’s card and start yelling and calling us the B word and assaults us and hits me in the chest. It’s pretty sad that the bank employees did nothing besides tell us we need to leave for simply defending ourselves. We will be pressing charges on that lady and we will be requesting the footage from the bank. As far as the bank employees.. shame on you for actually pushing good customers out who were ASSAULTED for something that could have been handled more professionally.

Opening an account with BECU was one of the best choices I made this year. Personable, approachable and professional staff make a difference. The amenities and services far exceed what I have previously been accustomed to. Thanks Tuyen and David for you patience, support and expertise. It's great to have human voices/people at the other end of the phone. Thank God for choices!

BECU sigh up is quick and easy. The pamphlets provided are very helpful. The location is handicap accessible by a ramp to the left (looking at the entrance). If you have concerns of the distance from parking to the handicap accessible side it is normal for people to park next to the curb as they go in.The lobby is simple and clean and all representatives are well dressed and groomed. The ATM machine here are top kotch and you can deposit cash into your account.

Stan was absolutely wonderful with helping me with the 4 different tasks I came in with. He did it all with a helpful, happy attitude and made everything very clear answering all of my questions. He was lovely! Even gave me a great smoothie order from next door to celebrate getting all my accounts in order! Overall quick, easy, and wonderful experience.

Today I worked with Christian R. at the location on 6th Ave and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any BECU in the state. I have had an account with becu for about 30 years so my saying that, is significant. I repeatedly asked him not to do different things with my documents and he did it anyway, completely disregarding what I was saying as the consumer, when it’s literally my money. He gave me inaccurate information about my accounts and encouraged me to use cash app or Zelle instead of the bank I was sitting in. He was incredibly incompetent and I actually ended up leaving to go to a different branch as the experience with him was both violating and total waste of time. Employees like him will make you consider taking your money to a different credit union, as I have today. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend this branch.
