Better than Walmart and Safeway. My dog and I walk there regularly due to a mixture of boredom from not having a life. It's a pretty good neighborhood store, and it's convenient. Either shop there or don't, the balls in your court...

The people who run the place are just so dang kind. I love that. They will microwave your food for you if you buy something you want to heat up in the store. I'd rather do it myself lol but I don't know if that's an option here and with limited English, i wouldn't bother to say it anyway. The people who own the place are just so sweet its like "yeah what the heck, thank you for microwaving that for me :) ? :) ?

More of a convenience store than grocery, but they do have alot of the grocery items. Not alot of fresh fruits & veggies, tho. Still, probably have what you need!

Been in the area for over 15 years. This mini mart was nothing special but convenient when you would like to pick up a few items and not drive the 15 mins to a grocery store. Past year or so new management has not only marked up everything egregiously over market averages, they charge a $.50 per card transaction. There seems to be about 50 cameras in the tiny mart, and the staff has been rough around the edges and definitely not experienced customer service providers. (Minimum wage minimum expectations)There is one elderly woman that will make you feel like a criminal for shopping. (Looking around). She will ignore when you what to pay for you items if she busy talking with others not buying item. She will scold you like a child if you don’t wipe your feet at the door as the numerous paper and marker signs indicate to do upon entry. Today was the last time I will shop there. When I went to buy a couple items for dinner, I was asked “are you ok?” by the check out clerk. I’m trying to figure out what I did to prompt this question from this individual who quite literally had her big square vape pen hanging of it her bra looking not so hot herself. To be fair I have definitely been in public more disheveled, especially at the mini mart. I have a scab on my lip from an injury but otherwise average appearance yoga pants, Uggs and fleece zip up. I know I went down a few isles looking for cold pineapple juice. Neither clerk offered assistance despite being one of two people in the tiny store. Paced a bit to see if anything else sounded good but ended up checking out. So I couldn’t imagine what on earth she was talking about. I asked her what she was pertaining to in regards to asking me if I was “ok” and there was no explanation. So today not only did I pay $18 for a package of Kirkland bacon, Swiss cheese slices and an avocado it was assumed that some how I was “not ok” and needed help. Will not be returning under any circumstance. Some of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences I’ve ever had and I don’t expect much picking up candy and potato chips.

This store is always clean and the clerks are always very kind. They say hi, and let you float around the store. Whereas other convenient stores don't say and anything and watch you awkwardly shop. I hate that I didn't catch her name, but the woman working today had pretty purple hair and was kind and we had a small conversation. I've never had a bad experience here and I've been living and shopping at JC's for many years. Thank you for being a wonderful one stop shop for Suquamish!
