Cute flower shop with beautiful and creative floral designs. They are so much more than just a flower shop. Their outdoor garden center has a nice selection and wide variety of plants. April and staff do a great job! I highly recommend this flower shop.

They created a beautiful baby’s breathe flower crown for my daughters first communion. They were up front about the cost. The crown was even more full than I thought it would be, and they had a lovely bow and ribbon down the back.I always get my Christmas wreathes here, and enjoy shopping throughout the year as well.

This spot would be worthy of its own "Secret Garden" style short story. It is a mystical, otherworldly nature portal, in the midst of downtown Sumner.Entering through the front, it first appears to be a compact, charming garden gift shop. The surprise greets you, passing though the back to find an expansive garden nursery. The paths are flanked with tulips, potted magnolia, and rained with a delicate shower of cherry blossoms.Back inside is a floral, walk-in cooler, packed with greenery, roses, carnations and pre-made, affordable mini arrangements.A visit here looks and feels like walking into the most enchanting moments of a fairytale.

This family-owned business is wonderful! In July I ordered flowers for my father's memorial service that would be held in September. Bonnie was so helpful and patient, offering excellent advice without being pushy. She was clear on pricing and procedures (I want o note that I was only able to meet with her this one time because I live in California). On the day payment was due I called to upgrade the centerpieces, verify the order, and set up time of delivery. The woman who helped me was polite and professional. The flowers arrived at the church on time, and were absolutely stunning! The arrangements were of the highest quality, and reflected an artistic eye that many other florists seem to lack. Our guests were highly complimentary, and were very happy to receive an arrangement at the end of the reception. I would recommend VanLierop Garden Market to anyone seeking quality, creative, and professional florist service!

Last year my daughter bought me a beautiful begonia in a cool cone moss planter that the hummingbirds loved all season. My daughter explained that she got it at this cool nursery that she had bought quite a few items from. She explained that the awesome part of this planter is that they told her when she bought it that I could bring it back every year around Valentine's Day and have a free replacement plant put in it. Ok. That sounds kind of cool. I love to garden but figured it was one less planter to fill and would give me an excuse to buy more stuff at their store. I was surprised when I got there to have the dejavu that I have actually been here before. Cute lil shop next to an Italian restaurant I had eaten at once a few years ago. I went in with my boyfriend. This was in early March. They were kind of busy. No big deal. We were both looking at cute garden stuff to buy. The lady working, little bit older, short curly hair, instantly acts like I'm annoying her. I thought I was the only one picking it up and maybe she was just busy. I explain my daughter bought the planter and was told to bring it in for a replacement. Still an attitude. "You can't bring it back with old soil in it". Me: "ok. She didn't tell me that. I didn't buy it." She kind of just stands there. I explain I don't live close so can she just throw the dirt out or show me where I can? She snaps "I guess I'll have to just do it!" Wow. She the tells me it won't be ready for pick up until May, almost as if she wanted me to just say forget it. Me: "That's fine." If I got the attitude I'm surely going to make her fulfill the selling point promise. Mind you this planter was originally close to $80 I think. When we leave my boyfriend says "wow. She was extremely rude." Ok. Not just me. Fast forward to May. I call to see if it's ready. Yep. I head down. Two younger, very nice ladies are at the counter. I see the other rude one in another area. One of them hands me my planter and an invoice for $42! I explain my daughter said it was free, she says no it was a misunderstanding. I'm not going to argue with anyone. I could put a $3 begonia bulb in myself and spare myself the hour round trip. I garden. It's what I do. I tell them I just need my planter back. The two ladies working that day were very sweet, I want to make that clear. I text me daughter what happened. She was furious. She had recommended them to a lot of people. I stopped at McClendons a couple blocks over. Picked up a begonia bulb and spent another $150 on other garden stuff and headed home. Needless to say, I won't be back. PS. I have a beautiful healthy begonia in the planter now.

Last year I thought this place was amazing. I purchased almost $300 worth of plants and gifts (from the front room) and was in love with the hanging basket I purchased my mother. I spent about $70 or so on it and the lady that got it down for me told me SPECIFICALLY she would replant the next one in spring for free if my mom brought the basket back in feb. So this feb, my mother took it back, and the lady who helped her was BEYOND rude. My mother is not a confrontational woman so she shrugged off the poor customer service and left the basket. Two months later she is called to come pick up her replanted basket. When she gets there, the lady tells her it's $30. Now mind you, we're not cheap. Or broke. Or anything crazy like that, but if you tell me something is free, and then tell me after I commit it's $30, that's a scam to me. My mom took an EMPTY basket home (just to make a point, because you don't get to just lie to us) and when I called to reiterate what I was told the year prior, the lady said *in a snark tone* "we would never say it's free cause we'd never make money". With that being said, maybe that's true, but I wasn't sold on the basket because they said they'd replant for free, it just happened to be a perk. Will not return and will continue to do business elsewhere.

VanLierop Garden mini bouquets are the best for any occasion in addition to the gift store items and garden plants. A walk thru their garden area gives you lots of ideas.
