So far so good.Never had a major issue, you speak when you asked to, Don't go off to explain you are on empty and need ⛽. Keep it simple and you'll be on your merry way.About to renew our Nexus cards and then it will be a Breeze to go across. Can't complain when you are greeted by Handsome Hunks. We go at leasttwice if not 3 times across to get ⛽ and shop at Safeway for Meats and Seafoods ? ?? ? ?

Getting tired of the condescending attitudes. Trucks should just stop and let us all starve.

Got pulled off to the side because I had bear spray in my car and you can’t cross the border with it. They searched my car even though I said I knew where it was. They found a fentanyl testing strip in my car that I have for emergency purposes (i come from a place of where fentanyl is a huge issue and has killed people I know) and accused me of doing and smuggling drugs (I have to get drug tested for my job, I don’t do drugs). Mocked me and were condescending. Searched and swabbed me and my entire car, found nothing (obviously). Then finally let us go an hour and a half later without even addressing any of the drug accusations. The officers here were very rude and on a power trip.

Truck too "new and fancy" to be an off-roader. THE MUD COVERING MY TRUCK WAS SO THICK, YOU COULDN'T SEE THE COLOR. So you searched it. I'm glad you were cute. The guy that searched my car was cool though

Only one lane working ?Passenger vehicles keep merging from the right lane for RVs onto us.Not recommended if you are a considerate Canadian motorist, habitual lane hoarders are having the best time.

Horrible, racist officers. One of the officers kept yelling at my grandma who doesn’t speak English about her seat belt not being properly on. Made me get out of the car to help her and while helping her kept calling us Mexicans ( when we aren’t from there ) and saying how he’s been to Mexico and people there shouldKnow how to put seatbelts on. we are also Canadians and I was born and raised here coming from a Canadian officer was very disappointing. they really need to re evaluate their morals and how they treat people. Also how did they pass school if they can’t even read that my mom’s passport is from Nicaragua not Mexico thank you very much! lol what a joke

I visit WA state a few times a year and most of the time the guards are nice. Today they were horrible, they took my passport and made me answer numerous questions like I was some sort of criminal. Then they mocked me for wanting to do some shopping, dining and sighting seeing. Feel sorry for the businesses that rely on tourism to survive because I'm not going back and will be warning others about the horrendous treatment I received.

very nasty people work here. Almost seems like they have been instructed to be disrespectful and short with everyone. Horrible nasty people. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I can't believe these people have power over other people, very scary

First time crossing the border through Sumas. We decided to try this crossing as it seemed to have a shorter wait than Peace Arch/Blaine crossing. A friend recently went through here and said it took them less than 5 minutes. I guess it depends on when you decide to cross or it is the luck of the draw. It took us about an hour when we got there around 9 am on a Saturday morning. Despite the sign indicating less than 5 minutes, it still took so long. 2 lanes plus nexus lane were opened. There was less than 10 cars ahead in our lane and at times it took over 5 mins just to inch forward. At one stage the nexus lane was not moving much either. The officer did ask us more questions than usual, so maybe that explained why it took a while when we were there. This crossing is definitely much smaller than the one at peace arch, with less lanes. It leads to the small town Sumas, away from I-5. I guess this can be an alternative if you're here going to WA, and not in a hurry.

We came here on a Sunday and we didn't expect it to be busy at all. We saw the sign saying a 5 mins wait. We were thinking of crossing through Linden crossing but because we missed the turn and decided to go here instead. Oh my, it was super slow. We waited for an hour when there was only less than 20 cars in front of us. There were only two lanes open and both lane was not fast. I prefer crossing through Peace Arch. Also after crossing, you are in a small down of Sumas. Nothing much to see there. There is Edaleen if you want to pick up ice cream and turn around. You might cross through here if you live in Abbotsford but I can't think of any other reason why you want to cross through this border.

Used this crossing for a short trip to Seattle last weekend, based on reviews here.Guards were very professional, not intimidating, and treated me with respect. Have your documents ready and be able to answer basic questions about your travel plans, and everything will go smoothly.Only 3 cars were in front of me, and the process took no more than 10 minutes.

Hard to give a perfect 5 star but crossing into the US the border guards are more friendlier than before. Just answer all questions truthfully and your credibility level is great. Maintain eye contact and you’ll be fine. Don’t have any past violations and it will go smooth.
