very helpful and knowledgeable!! sometimes as a women, walking into a plywood store filled with men they can treat you like you don’t know what you’re doing…but not here! They spoke to me as an equal which I very much appreciate. They even offered my son a donut when we checked out ?

Always had great experiences here. Went in yesterday for some extra decking material and was basically told what I bought there last year doesn't exist. 3/4 x 7.5 inch fiberon board. Was steered to a 1 x 8 instead. It'll work, but since I framed a step from the deck to the yard, now I have to shorten the rungs 1/4 on the ladder that makes the step to compensate for the thicker material. It's the first time I've been there and felt like I was told what to buy vs. helping me buy what I wanted and what I bought a year ago. It's still a great place.

I just read the review from Doug regarding being offended by being educated on which screw to use when fastening plywood. I have 43 yrs experience working with damn near any species of wood. I can tell you from this experience, fine thread screws such as ones used in Kreg gigs are the correct screws for fastening to the end grain of plywood. That being said, a pocket hole is superior to that. I’m not sure I see the reason for the negative review. I’ve leaned on the expertise from Windsor Plywood and have never been mislead or made to feel inferior.
Doug, you might check your ego the next time you have an interaction with another man in our profession. Not any one of has all the answers. We are better together. Peace

I have been buying all my plywood, doors and hardwoods from Windsor for 30 years. Just had a bad experience and may not shop there again. Purchased some 3/4” birch veneer plywood and it was garbage. Every wood screw blew out the plywood. I did receive a nice lecture on what screws to use and I am wrong for using standard wood screws. They offered to replace the sheet with another one. But I ended up going somewhere else and buying birch plywood. I finished the project and the new plywood was just fine. Disappointed that I was told it was my fault for using wood screws, not Kreg fine thread screws. Maybe the fine thread screws are better, but that doesn’t excuse the poor wood.

Came in to get some trim they have a large selection. Customer service is horrible. Spent 15 minutes walking up and down in Isles while watching four employees behind the counter talking about nothing, couldn't be bothered to come help me. It was very quiet. I was the only customer in the store and I could hear everything they were saying. It was not work related. I walked out and went somewhere else to buy.

Although you can get decent help here, it is just as often that I am completely ignored when I walk into this business. Too bad they are not a little more ready to help.
