“As a retired veterinarian, my professional expectations are high. Union Animal Hospital exceeded them. The entire team at Union get 5 stars from start to finish.The front desk staff were courteous and very prompt in getting me scheduled, returning my messages and getting answers to my questions.As a visiting vet, I got to see the doctors, techs and support staff at work in the treatment area and had a tour the facility. In a nutshell, there is no need to worry about your pet when they are taken by the many capable hands here. The level of professional care, and personal attention (even a few snuggles) given to every pet was outstanding. The facility is well organized, utilizes current technology, and is spotlessly clean. There is a team approach among the staff, so every animal’s needs are taken care of quickly, efficiently, and with great kindness.At every step the staff was transparent about costs and provided clear explanations of the services that were essential, those that added value but were not essential, and suggestions for how owners on a tight budget could best maximize their animals care while trying to stay within that budget.In a profession sadly being taken over by corporate ownership, independently owned Union Animal Hospital is a reminder of how quality Veterinary Medicine ought to be practiced. Dr Sutton and her team love what they do. They do it well, and it shows.I would bring my dog back to Union Animal Hospital without hesitation.”

“Have been going to ITAH since moving here ten years ago. Have always been happy with the care and concern given to us for every appointment, routine or otherwise. Recently we had to say goodbye to our dear dog and the entire staff was so amazing and caring. Today we received a "handwritten" .... get that "handwritten" note from Dr. Kaylor. It meant more than words can say. I wouldn't go anywhere else.”

“I enjoyed being able to talk one on one with Doctor Kaiser, and to discuss the details of my pets surgery, and post-op care. He took time to explain how the procedure went, and his thoughts moving forward, etc.He was very thorough, and using a model of the eye was very helpful to explain details.”

“Today was my first appointment for my rescue Artemis, who is 75lbs and severely reactive to all other animals and people resulting in fear aggression and over protection. This is my first dog with these kinds of behavioral issues so I am not necessarily the most experienced. I didn't know what to expect from Artemis or the vet, Dr. Laura Strom, and the tech, Camille, so I have been very nervous about this appointment, thankfully I had brought in all of her paperwork prior to the appointment. We arrived for our 8am appointment and luckily we were the only people scheduled that early. They had our room ready for us so it was a straight shot from the front door to the room with absolutely no issues. When the vet tech entered the room she was very calm and reassuring to both of us and started the visit by giving my girl some treats, which she loved. When I informed her that Artemis biggest trigger was sudden and unexpected movements and noises she was very understanding and made a noticeable effort to create a calm environment. Every time her and the vet entered the room they very slowly opened the door so Artemis wasn't startled. They continued to feed treats and stay very calm while reassuring Artemis that she was okay, even when Artemis became fear aggressive. They did a visual exam so we didn't have to restrain Artemis and create an unpleasant experience. Dr. Strom answered every single one of my questions and was extremely kind and respectful towards the both of us. We discussed the behavioral issues and she prescribed several medications to try for the anxiety and for our next visit. At the end of the appointment we were able to pay in the room with Camille instead of out in the lobby so we didn't interact with any other people or their pets which was amazing. All in all this was by far the best experience I have ever had with a vet and with my pets. I honestly can't say enough kind words about both Dr. Strom or Camille and our very first visit. Everything and everyone was just perfect. Both of them were open to my request that we try to keep our future appointments with only these two amazing people so we can build trust with Artemis. Everyone was very respectful to both of us and didn't condemn my lack of experience or Artemis behavioral issues which really means the world to me. I will never be taking Artemis or any future pets to another vet, they will always be going here for their care. 12/10, will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the wonderful experience. ”

All of our animals are well cared for by the staff, who were all fantastic but Sarah is especially noteworthy as we know her from VCA Ponti and Dr. Engstrom provided a very thorough exam while being gentle with our furr-babies. “Incredibly pleasant experience taking my rescue puppy for her first visit. Our new dog had been traumatized (don’t know all the details) and was paralyzed walking in the door, even with no other pets around. There was no pressure on her, and she eventually allowed herself to be led to a smaller room. There she opened up and by the end of the visit she was climbing on the laps of staff members, giving kisses and chasing treats around the floor. A different door left the facility. Fear free is an appropriate name for this clinic.”

“Anytime my black tom gets in a carrier or near a vet’s office, he becomes Catzilla. Grooming him is really hard. His fur WAS just so mattedYesterday, I needed to bring him in as he has health issues.When I got him back, he looked like a different cat! His fur was no longer matted. Wow.Thank you so very, very much. And oh, yes! He felt so much better and wasn’t crying”

“Dr. Rush and Dr. Miller are both top notch providers. We’ve been seeing Dr. Rush for years for my small mixed breed dog. He always takes his time and helps me stay away from unnecessary treatments. The unthinkable happened and my baby got hurt, he had some complications coming home from PEC. The next available provider was Dr. Miller who did a phenomenal job putting me and my dog at ease. Over the next few weeks, we had many check-ins (with both providers) and it really felt like the whole clinic was rooting for my little guy’s recovery. We are very happy with the South Grand Vet team and will recommend them to anyone and everyone ❤️”

“I’m new to town. My Ozzie needed attention. I called here to make an appointment. The woman that did the scheduling made me feel super comfortable over the phone. When we arrived for our appointment we were greeted with genuine compassion. The nurse and Dr Mudge then proceeded with such love towards my Ozzie. They found the issue and explained in great detail. The prices were also very fair. I highly recommend Audubon and will be bringing Ozzie back for his yearly.”

“Our cats have been patients of ITAH for years! Dr. Brown was the first doctor we met, and he took wonderful care of our older cat. Dr. Armstrong was so caring and helpful when Marley the cat ended up needing his tail amputated after a freak accident. Most recently we saw Dr. Kuhn and he was so kind and affectionate toward our older cat when she was having urinary issues, and helped ease my fears. Unfortunately we moved across country in the last few months but we will continue to recommend ITAH to all our Spokane animal friends!”

“I took my dog from pet emergency to Hunters Veterinary Clinic. I paid over $2k at pet emergency and had no clue what her blood work meant. Just that her liver enzymes were high. Within minutes of being at Hunters, they sat us down and explained what exactly pet emergencies blood workup meant. Pet emergency wanted $6k for an ultrasound and more in-depth blood work. Hunters charged me $500. Hunters was up front and compassionate. They told us the hard reality of what our Gracie was dealing with. They didn't try and suck as much money out of us as they could. And when the time came to send Gracie off to heaven, Hunters staff was so caring and loving. I will always take my pets to Hunters. ?”

I decided to do follow his advice and do the surgery on my dogs eyes. Of course I was worried but they took care of her splendidly. Her surgery went just perfect and I was ready to pick her up at 4'pm. I was so pleased the the Dr went over the surgery with me and sent us on our way. I'm looking forward to coming back for Ruby's follow up next month. I recommend this clinic to any pet owner that needs specialized eye needs.”
