Excellent Staff who all care for animals so much. This is the only Clinic I trust to care for my pets. Thank you.

These people know our pets and are genuinely glad to see them. We have been with them since our cats were kittens and our dogs were puppies. We even moved to a different part of town and I still drive the distance to see "our" vets and vet techs. I wouldn't take my pets any other place.

The entire staff at the Manito VCA are so nice and accommodating. Technician Jacob on today’s visit was very gentle and caring with our dog Ellie. Thank you for the quality care all of you provide for her.

Vet Helped us get a food prescription for our cats which was super helpful. Then the lady at the front desk was intensely condescending and unhelpful.

Took my cat here for an initial exam after rescuing from the shelter. Overall amazing experience, staff was lovely! Everyone was so kind and wanted to be there working with the animals. What made me super uncomfortable and why I will not be returning is because the vet, Dr Cindy Purvis, was so uncomfortably rude to her vet assistant. I felt so sorry for the poor man who was trying to be helpful and she just shamed him, rolled her eyes, scoffed at him, glared and raised her eyebrows at him, even said to him “no, just no” like he was below her and talked to him as you would dog. I understand you’re a Dr. but it doesn’t feel enjoyable watching you diminish and demean someone who is helping you, especially during a comprehensive exam. at least the timing of shaming him was highly unprofessional and very catty. Be kind to others, especially in days like these…. I don’t want to support and egotistical Vet that doesn’t treat their staff with respect. I hope you see this and think twice about how you treat your staff in the presence of your patients eyes.

This place is absolutely amazing!! I have an English Mastiff that gets horrible hotspots during summer. I live in CDA so I called around my area first to see if anyone can get my big boy in for same day appointment. I had no luck. So I ended up reaching out to Manito. First off I want to say that the receptionist was amazing! I was overwhelmed, and she made me feel like they actually care about my big guy. She reassured me that they are NOT judgmental and they care about every animal that walks in their clinic. She was able to get me in for a same day appointment. So I just want to say thank you! Second.. the vet assistant was EXTREMELY sweet! She was patient, and she was talking to me as if she knew me forever. Mind you, English mastiffs are big dogs, so it's hard to handle them, especially if they are stressed and uncomfortable, but that didn't stop the vet assistant from being patient with my big guy. They had to sedate him and she kept checking on him to see how he was doing. You are incredible! Thank you! Lastly, the Vet tech Dr. Powell was incredible as well! She was very thorough, patient, and so kind! She handled my big guy like he was her dog and she wanted the best for him. I have been through multiple different animal hospitals with my mastiff and they are never as patient, they judge, and they shame. We have been told we couldn't go back to one because my mastiff would not allow them to treat him. We have not gone back to any of those. I left there knowing that my mastiff will be ok. It sucks that I live so far away from Manito, but if you live close, please consider Manito! Your pet will be taken care of 100%! Thank you to the staff at Manito! All of you are incredible! Please don't change!

Too expensive!! $1,200 for teeth cleaning, not including extracts. They call it high quality care. I have a different term for their business practices. I would suggest checking around before making a commitment to these folks.

After bringing our dog to VCA Manito for 2-1/2 years, I sadly have to conclude I don’t recommend this clinic. My husband and I have transferred his care (to SouthCare Animal Medical Center). I only wish we had done it sooner. It’s hard to know whether you’re in the right place until there’s a crisis which is why I’m writing this review, hoping to help others. Our dog had high urine protein in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Dr. Purvis only mentioned it in 2021. Once I got a copy of the tests, I saw the lab noted each year a urine protein creatinine (UPC) test was needed. When I asked why she hadn’t alerted us in 2019 or 2020, her reply was: “I must’ve decided the high protein loss could be explained other ways.” In other words, she ignored the lab notes and didn’t include us in her decision, twice. Then all of a sudden in 2021 she said all these tests needed to be done. Also, our VCA Care Club plan included a blood pressure check each year. It turns out it was never done in 2019 or 2020 even though our dog had a dental cleaning and went under anesthesia each of those years. When it was finally done in 2021, it was very high. Dr. Purvis disregarded the reading and did it again after he was sedated for another dental cleaning. Then it was normal. When I asked about this, she said the sedative just took the edge off. Once again, she disregarded something critical. In fact, he does have high blood pressure which is associated with the high protein loss. After getting proper care at SouthCare and the WSU Veterinary Hospital, our Golden Retriever has been diagnosed with protein losing nephropathy. This can be fatal if not treated right away and thanks to VCA Manito, it’s been going on for a long time. Now he's on medications but his prognosis isn't good due to the long delay in treatment. The negligence at this clinic is inexcusable as far as I’m concerned. Dr. Purvis is also rude. I tried my best to overlook her rudeness thinking she was a good vet but we had to learn the hard way she isn’t. Don’t let the AAHA accreditation fool you like it did us. I’ve since learned that accreditation only has to do with record keeping, equipment, etc, NOT medical competency.

My wife and I just adopted a new puppy and naturally, we had about a thousand questions and two-thousand things to be anxious over. My wife made our appointment with Manito VCA Hospital to have our new pup checked out. Let me tell you… the ENTIRE staff was nothing short of amazing. From the very beginning the staff did all they could to make our feel welcomed and calm. Our Vet, Dr. Foss (maybe Fauce?) was incredible! She not only gave our puppy 3 vaccines without so much of any noticeable yelp or flinch from pain! Beyond that, she sat with us for an hour and a half answering every anxiety fueled rapid fire question we had! We’ve never had more gracious assistance and care. We are very thankful for this team!Shelby will be back soon!Thank you!

Wow! I am so impressed by this amazing VCA family at Manito. They were so welcoming, sweet and kind to my Gabbie girl and I. Dr. Liz Morely was beyond wonderful! Great with my kitty and me, which sadly isn't very common. Vet Tech Jacob was professional, thorough, efficient, helpful and welcoming. AND last, but not least the front desk team are so welcoming and helpful too.

Dr Pervis was amazing with my little puppy that came down with parvo. She gave me everything I needed to try to help him through it. She made sure she was up to date on current treatments. She was compassionate and caring. He didn't make it, but I know I did everything that could have possibly been done because of her help. I will definitely use VCA Manito for my future pets.

Will take your money without giving you answers, do not care about all pets equally. They massively overcharge, and are very patronizing and condescending; I do not reccomend.

I've been going to VCA Manito since 2016, and even though I moved to the north side I still make the drive across town to this VCA because their care is truly unmatched. My dog Lucy is anxious and does not like other dogs, so she cries a lot but also LOVES seeing the vet. The staff gets her to the room quickly, and they are always so sweet and give her tons of treats. We've seen Dr. Yurenka a few times for random things and she's been great, very gentle and understanding. We also just got some of Lucy's teeth removed recently and our experience with Dr. Purvis and her team has been amazing. It was much cheaper than the estimate they gave me and even though Lucy and I were both scared, I trusted these vets over any other and it went smoothly. Lucy is doing SO much better in the breath and smiles department! So I just wanted to say thank you a million times for the love and care you have given me and my dog.The things that vets see and go through on a daily basis, while still holding space for pet owners and their furry clients is angel status love. Your hearts are so big, you put our pets first appointment after appointment, day in and day out with a smile and that takes courage and compassion that most people don't have. We lost my family vet to suicide in 2012, and I think people forget the mental and emotional strength it takes to be a good vet can be taxing. Please be kind to your vets, they do everything they can to make sure your pets are well and that you leave happy. Things like cost are out of their control and if your vet is late to see you, it might mean they were dealing with something extra difficult before you that they might not show. So please be patient and remember to thank your vets!! They are really angels.
