My wife and I scheduled an appointment to have our car serviced. We re-arranged our work schedules and child care plan for the day. To us, an appointment means a commitment between two parties that we take very seriously, and we like to stick to our word. I called the morning of my appointment and confirmed it with the service department. I showed up five minutes early. After about 15 minutes of waiting without being acknowledged, a member from the service team finally started checking people in. The first question I was asked was \\\"are you ok leaving your car overnight?\\\" to which I responded \\\"only if absolutely necessary.\\\" I was then told that they \\\"might not be able to get to it until the end of the day because they're short-staffed but could at least start looking at it.\\\" Given his vague communication and how it seemed like he was dancing around the issue, I asked what that meant and why the other 11:30 appointments in front of me were honored but you couldn't honor mine? After checking with the mechanics, he confirmed the best they could do would be to start looking at it by EOD due to staffing issues (as if staffing and not over-booking is my problem). Not wanting to sit around for 6.5 hours in the lobby to receive a potential update, I left, as honoring commitments isn't something they take very seriously. I called the manager, Michael, when I got home and asked why I didn't receive a courtesy call informing me that Subaru of Spokane wouldn't be able to uphold their commitment to our 11:30 appointment and why my appointment wasn't honored. He seemed to be confused about why I didn't receive a phone call and claimed they normally call customers in this situation, which I find hard to believe given how this place is run (I'm sure I'm not the first to hear this). He tried to offer me a loaner car, which I didn't see any value in, given their lack of ability to manage appointments/staffing and not wanting to risk wasting additional time with this dealership. I find it ironic that the dealership claims on their website to \\\"take great pride in our helpful and knowledgeable staff\\\" and to be \\\"honest and transparent\\\" when they can't even figure out how many customers to book or make it right when they screw up. Based on my call, I sensed they have no pride in how they run their business or upholding the Subaru brand. Sadly, I was warned in the past by several people to avoid this dealership at all costs, because of the terrible service they received. Unfortunately, I found out for myself why they have this reputation. Our car only has 10k miles on it, and they lost a lot of future business. I will openly share my negative experience with other Subaru owners.

Micah and all the guys at Subaru of Spokane have blown me away. Completely the opposite of every dealer service department stereotype. They go above and beyond to get you back on the road, and your wallet will be grateful for their efforts in the end.

Called and set up appointment was told one hour for service. After I arrived it is now 3 hours. I purchased two Subaru's from them, not getting my next one there. Service is as important as the sale.

I bought a 2019 subaru at the dealership and that was a great experience. I bought the snow tire package, and the problem started in the service department. I made an appointment to get the snow tires on. Waited 2 hours before they told me they forgot to order them. I left 2 messages for the manager and finally spoke to the assistant manager. When I came back for the 2nd appointment, they were in no hurry to get it done and dismissive to my frustration.Service: Tyres
