Southwest handles delays and cancellations with denial, instead of being up front with their customers, to avoid providing refunds as long as they can. They have no remorse for their employees or customers, and focus instead on their bottom line. Our vacation plans were all delayed, and then cancelled, thanks to Southwest. We arrived at the Southwest gate to find an enormous line at back age check. There was no line for the other airlines, just them. 40 minutes before the flight was scheduled to leave a text message was received stating, without explanation, that my flight was canceled. I followed a web-link to discover a rebooking was made for the following Monday at 5:40 am, without my consent or input. 45 minutes later we reached the counter. It was decided that we would cance the flight and drive to our destination, but they refused to refund our money. They claimed the situation was out of their hands due to weather. It was later discovered that was not true. Flight delays and cancellations, in fact, were being experienced nation-wide. Only buy Southwest though. We waited two days for the newly, automatically scheduled flight. It was cancelled minutes before the scheduled boarding was to take place. At this point we were out time, pet sitting money, and plane ticket money. Still no vacation. They said at the counter, after waiting in line and speaking to them twice, they would refund the price of our tickets within 30 days. We will see. Either way, now we are out several hundred dollars for pet sitting and will completely miss the opportunity to see family for the next 6-12 months. This is the last time Southwest will ever be considered, due to lying to our faces, refusing to offer us a refund for two days, and three in-person attempts, and refusing to transfer us to a different airline so we could reach our destination for the holidays.

Much better than last year only have lost 2000 dollars because of Denver Colorado and policies mess ups last year I lost 5000 or more thank you for being better

This airline lies i will not use them ever again. They canceled our flight twice, claiming that it was weather related, when in fact it was because they didn’t have enough passengers flying towards our destination.

Terrible customer service. We asked a small request of potentially hanging out for 10-15 mins after they close so we could pick up an important package with medical equiptment in it and was told it would cost 75 dollars cash (hopefully claimed on their taxes if they're doing it often...) for the person to stay after their 10pm sharp close time. Better to go with Alaska air cargo.

Picked up my cockatoo they had been shipped several hours to miles here and here was in great shape. Birds of any size are still EXTREMELY fragile so if they would've mishandled him in ANY way shape or form then it definitely wouldn't been EXTREMELY apparent but not only was he in one piece, here was actually purring like a little kitten. Can't thank them enough for how good they treated my new friend
