This may have been a one off mistake but it was a big one. I would NOT use pods again for moving unless you want to have a garage experience.The initial booking process seemed seamless, very user friendly and straightforward. Problems started when they sent the wrong sized pod on packing day and since I am not in the area I had to use the customer service line to reschedule. On my rescheduled packing day the crew never arrived. After rescheduling again the crews showed up and honestly did a phenomenal job with the packing portion.Then they called me in March, after my pod had been at its final destination for months, to let me know while they were moving it around some damage had been done, but it was minimal. Due to my demanding work schedule I was unable to make the long trip up to Spokane with a uhaul until the first of October. I called the facility and let them know I was on my way as well as my arrival time so the pod could be ready. When arriving the customer service agent let me know they hadn’t pulled it because they had no idea I was coming. I had literally talked to him personally 4 hours beforehand. Mistakes happen, so didn’t say anything and waited 20 minutes for him to retrieve it.There is always risk when it comes to having other people pack and move your personal items, so I expected there to be some damage. What I did not expect was that the forklift had actually gone through the wall and flooring, completely destroying all items in its path. Including a large one of a kind painting, a couch, signed posters, small household items etc.The customer service guy was quite helpful after seeing the damage and helped me take photos as well as get in contact with the GM of the facility. The GM called me within the hour and assured me this would be taken care of and I would be receiving a call from their claims department within the week.I never talked to them again but was sent a form to fill out and return.

Not even close to fitting all our stuff even though we talked about house size & asking for extra space. Didn’t show up in time window indicated. More fees for everything.

We had some issues with placement, but everyone was incredibly helpful to find a good solution. Everything worked out perfectly in the end.

PODS are a great way to store items while preparing space for them. Make sure that what you store in them are not sensitive to temperature changes. The POD is heavy and not easy for someone to steal.

PODS is a very efficient and customer service focused organization that was the perfect solution in our situation of selling and buying a new house- and my three kids really enjoyed watching the PodZilla work!

Took hours and hours on hold to reach customer service about our concerns. Our pod was not delivered to our location without calling and waiting on hold to "schedule delivery". We had to schedule to visit our pod, which was delivered over an hour and a half way from our apartment. We were charged for another month of storage rent despite communicating with customer service and getting promised that wouldn't happen. We had already emptied out our pod and closed the account. It took over a week for a refund of our storage fees, so we were out that money right before rent was due.

Trying to speak with a live human seemed amazingly easy when I wanted to first book an order. Once I did that and had questions or wanted to modify my order, it was a very different story. The phone tree magically disconnected me every time I called (multiple times a day over multiple days). Emails via their website went unanswered as did text messages. A Twitter DM thread only resulted in me being told to call in to the number that repeatedly dropped my call.I had no option but to drive to my local warehouse and thank goodness I did that - the representative there was able to address my needs promptly. However, I will not work with PODS again - it should not be this difficult to speak to someone and feel like you will be forced into something because of their non-responsiveness and unprofessional tech stack.

I would put no stars...after a month of changing our pick up date and then telling me they won't charge me I kept having charges left and right from them! The thing is still sitting at my house 3 weeks after moving and after rushing to unpack it because we had a set pick up date! Never would recommend this fraud company!

Using PODS has been an awful experience, their customer service was absolutely awful, every sales associate provided different information, and they conveniently omitted expiration dates and hidden fees for my long-distance move. I would never recommend nor use this company ever again. Think twice before you decide to use them.

Amazing service. The convinence of having the POD delivered and then stored until my final destination was great. All interactions with staff were pleasant and expeditious. Competitive prices with self storage but no hassle of multiple trips to the unit. Would highly recommend.

Yes. They stored our stuff for years with no harm. But. They were unwilling to move it to our new location in Western Washington. We had to drive back to Spokane and hire movers and a truck and drive back to our new location. It was very difficult to communicate with them. You cannot talk to the facility directly. We were outsourced to people in Latin America.

PODS claim about size of containers and storage capability is completely inaccurate. PODS office staff were terrible. It was like talking to someone who would do nothing to address issues. Drop-off and pickup drivers were great. Local warehouse staff was very responsive, but you don't know how to contact them until office staff fails to address any of your issues or messes up your delivery or accessibility dates or pickup times. Each time we dealt with office staff, warehouse staff had to fix the problems. If I were warehouse staff I would get tired of fixing the problems with office staff. Since they're front line, they take the brunt of the customers anger. They didn't give us time to vent our frustration because they understood the office staff's issues and they immediately fixed the problems.

It's been the worst move of my life. I've moved more than 50 times in the past 60+ years, from coast to coast. 12 states, full service and self moves. I will never consider PODS again. This is my 2 move with them and both times there were issues at the destination. This last was a incompetent rude customer service rep who refused to resend a delivery appt email after my email was changed on my account. Take my advice hire true professionals, it'll save you $$ and tons of grief.
