Transferred care from VCA Ponti to this wonderful clinic and our family could not be happier about it! All of our animals are well cared for by the staff, who were all fantastic but Sarah is especially noteworthy as we know her from VCA Ponti and Dr. Engstrom provided a very thorough exam while being gentle with our furr-babies. We expect this will be our forever vet ?

I just wanted to thank the doctors and staff at North Spokane for being so amazing. I have 3 large dogs and one was abused and is reactive. They are SO kind, patient and have handled him extremely well. He had to get wound treatments numerous times a week for well over a month and even when he was “over it” and started to get testy they were amazing. I can’t say enough good things about all of them and truly appreciate them from the bottom of my heart.

Friendly, professional, and very accommodating. From the front desk to the techs to doctors, it is always as pleasant of an experience as you could hope for. Definitely trust the care of my three animals to them.As you can see, Deirdre and Archer are not the slightest bit stressed, waiting for the Doc!

We had to have Willow, our golden retriever, put down due to a fast growing cancer. North Spokane Veterinary went above and beyond to insure the experience was a positive one that will be cherished for a long time. Very personable and compassionate and affordable. I would give them 10 stars if possible!

I will start this review by saying I have a small dog that is scared of new people, and very protective of me. I have taken her to this vet since she was a puppy and now she is now 3 years old. She has always been fearful, in a way that sometimes shows as aggression. But she is not a mean dog. This event that I am referencing happened several months ago, during the summer of 2023, and I have been upset enough about it that I have been unable to write this review. But it needs to be said.I make an effort to tire and relax my dog before taking her to the vet, so she can be less reactive when we go. I had her run, I gave her CBD chews, I played with her. Then we went to the vet. She was very sweet and curious with the girls at the front desk. This was the best I have ever seen her behave at the vet and I was so happy. I have worked very hard over the years to socialize her despite her antisocial tendencies, and it was finally paying off. Or so I thought.I was taking her there to have her teeth looked at. The girl who took us into our room seemed to not like my dog very much. My dog was growling a little bit when she was being handled. I understand, that would be uncomfortable for the vet tech. But I was holding my dog's face and she was not showing teeth or acting angry. Just uncomfortable. The tech then decided to take her in the back alone while I waited in the room.Later on, the vet tech pops into the room to tell me that my dog had peed and pooped everywhere when they were handling her, and then left. I found this weird because my dog is house trained and never has accidents. Then later the vet comes in with my dog to talk to me about treatment options. After I'm at the front desk waiting to pay, the vet is still standing there talking to me. This other tech I haven't seen yet comes to me and hands me a bottle of pills. She tells me to give these to my dog the next time I bring her in so she can be sedated, because she bit someone today. And they would have to report my dog to Scraps. Excuse me, what? This whole time I've been talking to people in the room alone, nobody told me there was a bite. They waited until I was in the lobby with an audience. The vet stood there with her head down and finally spoke up when I started asking questions. She did give me some options for calming supplements I can buy for my dog, which was nice. But I just did not appreciate the way it was handled. I was devastated and humiliated publicly.I paid for my appointment and left. But I went home so unbelievably upset for my dog. I won't lie, I cried. A lot. There is no reason that the visit should have resulted in a bite.My dog was already growling a bit when they took her in the back, so I know she was giving warning signs before aggressing. But I have no idea what happened back there. I have no idea how she was being treated or how severe the bite was. But I have to think that if she was upset enough to be peeing and pooping and biting, this had to have been a reaction to how she was being treated. My dog is not biter. She must have been afraid for her life. And if she was so upset that she was becoming a hazard, they should have given her back to me. They could have given me those sedative pills and rescheduled our appointment at any time. But they didn't, they waited until she actually bit someone to take action. Now my dog has a documented bite history and some severe trauma with the vet. Despite my years of efforts in socializing her, this clinic has taken us several steps back when I wasn't there to advocate for my dog or to step in and stop the process. I still don't even know what really happened back there, and now I'm responsible for a bite on my dog's record. I will never step foot in this clinic again because I simply cannot trust them. They have caused damage that will stick with me for the rest of my dog's life.If you have a reactive dog, I would recommend taking them anywhere but here. I wouldn't take any pet here at all. You just never know what's really going on

They were able to get both my dog and cat in within a week and were absolutely wonderful with my high-energy dog, who can be a lot. They provided a breakdown of the bill, and I felt it was far more reasonable than my last vet, who is popular in Spokane and overcharged us by hundreds for unnecessary things and had terrible customer service. I'll never take my pets anywhere else. North Spokane vet was amazing!!!

I want to thank Dr Ruth for being so open with me about the condition that my cat Nigel was in. She was very compassionate and caring, and becuase of her I was given the information I needed to make the right decision for him. Yesterday was an extremely hard day, and it is never easy saying goodbye to a pet. The staff I worked with was very attentive to he and I, and I can tell they really do care about animals. I ended up having to make the hard choice of putting Nigel to sleep later that night (elsewhere) and I am thankful I took him to NSVC becuase I was able to properly understand his condition and was able to make his last moments comfortable in my arms.

My 16 yo dog suddenly became very ill. I called and they got him in right away. They were very understanding and did not rush me to make a decision even tho I knew it was time to let him go. They made my difficult time as easy as could be.
