Love my doctor, love Multicare.
I think Dr. Briscoe is hiding a pair of angel wings under that starched white jacket.

I felt prompted to write this review after seeing some recent patient responses. My last visit to a department in this facility was in August of 2024. Overall, my experience with Rockwood Urgent Care has been positive. Sometimes, due to timing of my arrival I have experienced a long wait as the waiting room was crowded with people. The reception staff have been courteous and patient, and empathetic to patients waiting for care, and expedited care as possible. The physicians I was treated by listened carefully to my complaints and provided immediate care with medication and instructions for follow up and referrals as necessary in spite of their high patient load. I have received a variety of tests at the Laboratory. I appreciate the Multicare phlebotomists who are excellent, very quick precise, and careful - particularly as on numerous occasions different labs have had difficulty getting a draw from me. Their ultrasound folks have been excellent, and additionally assisted me to transfer with care for my safety and to avoid further injury. During the last 35 years I only have experienced one technician, one time, that was somewhat off hand about the discomfort level I experienced during positioning for a DXA scan, all other times technicians have been very careful and considerate. Dr. Lagerquist in Endocrinology, now retired, was able to immediately detect issues with my thyroid and referred me to an excellent surgeon for my thyroid cancer. This department has since provided me with courteous consideration and paying good attention to detail in follow up treatment monitoring my endocrine health for the last 15 years. I believe I have received a high quality of care from this facility and have no hesitation recommending it to other people.

This place is awesome... Even when I've showed up late they always seem to fit me in. They are patient and actually listen to my concerns.

Came in with a lump on my upper abdomen on the evening of 6-4-24. Was told that they didn’t know what it was, and some more testing needed to be done. They send me downstairs for an ultra sound, & send me back upstairs after it’s done. About a half hour goes by and no one has even came back in the room to check on me or give me any sort of update. Done wasting my time, I leave. I receive a call this morning while I’m at work that the ultrasound didn’t show much so they needed to do an MRI, but needed to go through insurance first. From a patient perspective, you fumbled the ball hard. I’m trying to get an answer on if I’m going to be okay or not, and all I’m told is we don’t know, but let’s take care of the money side of things first. I’m over here freaking out about my well being because I have a lump in my chest, and y’all are making sure the money is good. That’s the biggest concern. So I’ve went to the doctor to find some peace of mind perhaps, and was given anything but. So I go to the ER today, and get turned away. Because of insurance purposes. Then go back to Rockwood, just so they tell me to go back to the ER. This isn’t right. Fix the way you do business. End of rant.

I had been having chest pains and restricted breathing beyond my typical asthma worsening over 2 weeks. New insurance, new doctor- could not get in for an appointment for 2 months. So, I came to this urgent care 2 days ago. Checked in, weighed, taken to room, saw professional all very quickly. Recommended chest xray and blood work, conveniently downstairs in their lab. Both tests done super quickly, and checked in back upstairs. Taken back to my room. Where I waited nearly 3 hours. After draining my phone with word games, I meditated. A nurse came in after maybe 90 mins and explained that they had to sent the xrays to be read at a neighboring hospital, that their equipment was down? Btw, no books or magazines in rooms anymore since covid. I waited another hour plus, and just could not sit/stand wait in that room any longer. I am hurting with every breath, and trying not to let anxiety grow in a tiny weird room by myself. I left; went home. What a nightmare. The clinic called later that day saying that the scans were all clear- no issues with heart or lungs. What a relief. She said she is not sure what to do about my pain and discomfort. Horrible experience, even though every human along the way was lovely. Perfect example of why my family do not like to go to the dr. anymore. I am still in quite a bit of pain, still cannot get a full breath, still having trouble laying down/sleeping for long. Thumbs down. Did not receive good care.

Overall, it's a decent facility. My doctor is great, and the staff has been pleasant. I do find, however, that the eye center does not respond to appointment requests via MyChart, and some of my calls have not been returned.

I was very happy with the care I received today. Everyone in Urgent care, X-ray and labs was very friendly. The Nurse Practitioner who examined me did all she could to diagnose and she provided excellent care.

I have several mental illnesses. Recently I had a nightmare that caused me to have a boxers fracture in my right hand. It's my dominant hand. When I went here I felt the place was going to be nice the inside looked pretty. But the doctor I saw was PA I saw Margaret Dancan was hostile from the moment she saw me. She wrapped my fingers so tightly that my home's aid had to take it off when he noticed my fingers were starting to turn purple. She also set my hand Without numbing it without doing anything to prevent the pain. I AM VULNERABLE ADULT AND DISABLED VETERAN.

You should come over to my TikTok page and have a look. I'm not one to do a lot of social media stuff, but I'm a veteran and they shouldn't never happen. This is ridiculous.

The lab needs better communication between staff and patients instead of having them wait for an hour. The staff was A+ respectful and patient, I have no complaints regarding staff, but it would have been polite for anyone to inform me that there would be a very long unexpected delay, because I only had gotten up to 11sm off from work. I had to end up leaving. And it was frustrating more cause they were still calling others back that came in long after I did.. that made me more upset. After that wait I had to go to the counter and ask if they would ever be calling me back but that they had babies born. Yeah that's okay. But couldn't they tell me? I could have utilized my time better and went to a different location. This was ridiculous and was not the norm for Rockwood Clinic. This circumstance deserved a one star. And I hope it does not happen to anyone else. Please communicate with waiting patients, is all I'd ask.
