I understand all the one star reviews now! I had a new patient appointment scheduled for 4:00. I get done work at 3:30 and I absolutely acknowledge my fault in that I completely forgot and drove right home after work. Sat down at the table to do some things and remembered. Called at 4:12, it said there were 4 callers ahead of me, so I just drove there as I’m 5 minutes down the road. My call was answered as I was pulling into a parking spot, I explained and apologized profusely, said I had arrived but totally understood if I needed to reschedule. She said hurry on up the stairs. I waited several minutes for the man at the desk to get off the phone. When he did I explained what happened and that I’d called; another woman came out and said I’d have to reschedule. I said but that’s why I called when I was in the lot, and said I completely understood if I needed to reschedule. She said well you didn’t talk to me on the phone, and I’m the doctor’s technician. Talk about unprofessional. Glad I found out what kind of staff you have before I became a patient there! The person on the phone could’ve told me to reschedule and I would have understood. But since she didn’t, the rude technician should have honored what she said, simple as that. I will not be rescheduling obviously.

Disliked the way the lady fitting my 2 year old son said to me “I feel bad for him, bless his heart” after I mentioned he has ASD, and glasses may be a hard task for him to keep on. I also had to put the glasses on him myself, rather, getting help from the lady supposed to be fitting him. She seemed to be chuckling when I was having a hard time keeping them on him. She wasn’t allowing me to try on more than two pairs with him. I had to settle for two of all the many other choices they to offer. I felt rushed and overwhelmed. Just all around one star experience. Would rather pay out of pocket for a better experience. Do not recommend for families with disabled children, or anyone for that matter.

My eye exam was done so badly. Wasn't aware of how bad it was until I got my contacts after paying a bunch. The doctor didn't even catch my stigmatism, and of course, I wasn't aware of this until I got my contacts and drove at night. I'm just very upset to spend all this money for nothing. Never will I come back to any of these locations.UPDATE: The phone number they provided below is NOT in service. That was not helpful.

The doctors with Rockwood are great. I have received two eye exams, and both have gone well. As for the glasses store, it has been an absolute disaster working with them. For starters, the front desk lady made fun of a developmentally challenged child because they were making too much noise and stated under her breath “This is why I don't have kids,” as if it were a funny joke or something. Also, the optometrist and front desk lady mentioned several times how they dislike working with Medicare patients because of the “type of people” it draws in and how they are difficult to work with for little or no profit. Finally, I ordered glasses over two months ago. The first time they sent my frames out to replace the lenses. Those were broken during the handling, and nothing can be done about it. So we ordered a new pair of glasses, which took over 2 months to fulfill and need to be shipped back for having the wrong lenses. I ended up canceling the order and was put through a long process to override my charges, which is not “typical practice”. Unless you absolutely have to work with them, anywhere else will likely provide better service and possess higher morals and character.

Wonderful place. Went during lockdown, unsure how to get there, but office told me which streets to take and how long it would take to get there. On-time appointment with Dr Peterson who understood immediately that I require a new corneal transplant, did not hesitate to refer me to another ophthalmologist who could do it. Very nice people at the desk, and apparently very nice people in the waiting room. Next time I need glasses this is where I'll go.

Dr. Neil Peterson is my Dr. He's wonderful and has done 2 surgeries. I highly recommend him. But making an appt - terrible experience today. Scheduler very difficult to understand. She didn't speak English. Took 15 minutes to schedule a simple check-up.

We’ve been waiting for my boys eyeglasses. They said it would take a month. This was in December. Today is February 7th and no one called or left a message. Very frustrating. They didn’t attempt to call/leave a voicemail a second time.

I see or have seen Dr. Glazer & Dr. Ryder. They are very through, kind & informative. I felt at ease. I had surgery in both my eyes with Dr. Ryder. He was so gentle & let's you know what all will happen during. They make sure that you feel important, focus on 1 person at a time. Not like your in an assembly line. Trying to get as many surgeries they can do in a day. Like my mom did at another place. Where their impersonal, just another number in their whole place from beginning to end. Both Dr.s spend time with you. Making sure you understand everything. Even before and after surgery.
