Incredibly pleasant experience taking my rescue puppy for her first visit. Our new dog had been traumatized (don’t know all the details) and was paralyzed walking in the door, even with no other pets around. There was no pressure on her, and she eventually allowed herself to be led to a smaller room. There she opened up and by the end of the visit she was climbing on the laps of staff members, giving kisses and chasing treats around the floor. A different door left the facility. Fear free is an appropriate name for this clinic.

Can't say enough good things about them. I have never had a technician spend so much time with us, not to mention the vet. (At our now former vet's office, we rarely saw the vet at all, just got the bill at the end, usually with very little information about how things went.) Definitely our new vet!

We've been taking our cats to Latah Creek Animal Hospital for several years and have always had a good experience. Dr Megan has always shown great care for our animals, as have the technicians. We saw Dr Tara on the latest visit, and she was wonderful. I've always found the entire staff there willing to help and to answer my questions. They always follow up our visits with a phone call to see how the visit was, and to see if our cat is doing well or if we have any concerns. Also, the new building is great!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Latah Creek Animal Hospital. I am new to town and was looking for a vet who could make the experience for my senior cat less stressful. I have never experienced this kind of warmth, calmness, and attentiveness at any other vet. The staff made sure there were no other pets in the area when I brought him inside. They even have a fish tank and shelves on the wall for the kitties feel more comfortable! For the first time I feel like my cat is no longer afraid of going to the vet.

They are so understanding of my anxious boi who hates strangers. I did their behavior modification training too and that was very helpful! I have less stress going to this vet than others.

This is an absolutely phenomenal veterinary clinic. The extra touches of personalized care, calming spray, calming music, and attention to detail are so appreciated. I travela lot and struggle to find good care for my boys, so I am eternally grateful when I do.Thank You!!

I phoned to arrange a procedure for our puppy, Lewis. I am expecting a response on Monday. Communication went well and I am anticipating it will continue.

This place is amazing! I ended up having to come here because the previous vet required a drop-off.When I explained the situation, these amazing people allowed me to stay with my service animal as opposed to a drop-off until she could be seen. They strive to make everything as stress/fear free for everyone as much as possible, and even my service animal, who is usually wary of doctors loved those she interacted with.I plan on making this place my preferred location!

Don’t bring your animal here for emergency services. They seem qualified and competent but they take no issue charging 3x what my regular vet will for same day care (I wasn’t aware my vet started doing that this which is why I brought them here) I brought my sick cat in when he wasn’t eating. $1000 later and no conclusive results just for them to refer me to the pet emergency clinic for their traveling radiologist who wasn’t even in that month. Brought my cat to my vet the next day and they had to retake X-rays and put him on fluids and anti nausea which brought him back to his wacky self. Did way more for him at a fraction of the price. Hindsight is truly 20/20, don’t be dumb like me!

We love Latah Creek Animal Hospital. We have been coming here for almost two years and have never had a bad experience. The culture at this place is different than any vet we have experienced. I have 3 cats who all enjoy coming here even though it is a doctors office. One of the cats has high anxiety and compared to our previous vet her anxiety levels have decreased significantly during visits. Every single person I have talked to there has been nothing but nice and helpful. I can tell that every person there loves their job and it shows by all the smiles, jokes, and laughter when we are there. We did not really understand what a fear-free vet clinic was until we came here, but now we cannot imagine going to a vet without it. From the time we walk into the clinic to the time you leave the clinic, our pets are their entire focus. The whole team will handle your pet with love and care just like you would at home.

My pets and I love Latah Creek! We were referred by a friend, as well as my dog's trainer Diamonds in the Ruff. Both of my pets (cat and dog) have had great experiences so far. I had to leave my dog with the staff at Latah Creek recently as I was sick myself, and I would only do that because I know they will always treat my dog with the utmost kindness. Very satisfied and recommend them to anyone especially pets with vet-related anxiety or reactivity issues.

I highly recommend Kayla, the Behaviorist at Latah, if you have a reactive or aggressive dog. What a difference she made for me and my dog Cody! After the first session, I understood my dog better, which really helped this whole process. Kayla gave us games to play that has made a huge difference in Cody's behavior! The DMT technique was the best, most positive game changer for my boy! We went from thinking we needed to rehome Cody, to being so grateful he's part of our pack! Can't recommend Kayla enough!!

I have never written a review before, but my encounter with Latah Creek Veterinary Clinic was so terrible and so traumatic, that I must strongly warn people to stay away from that place. The people who work there are friendly, I will give them that. Unfortunately, friendliness did not help my dog.Early in the morning, my 10-year-old greyhound broke his leg and was in extreme pain. I rushed him to the Latah Creek Veterinary Clinic and they did x-rays on him showing a badly broken humerus bone. We talked options like amputation and putting on a compression stint. The latter should never have even been suggested, but I was told it should work. After sitting in my car for hours, I was told I could take him home. I was expecting to see him nearly anesthetized and not feeling any pain what-so-ever and of course I would think that. You can’t strap a compression stint on a broken bone like that and expect it won’t cause unbearable pain. But he was awake and screamed at any attempt to move him. I told one of them, “You can’t give me my dog back like this.” I was then told to drive to the grocery store and fill a prescription for pain pills. I was deeply frightened for my dog and dumbfounded at this point. We got him in the car, but I didn’t make it 300 feet before he screamed and with his back leg, kicked the stint off.Never in my life have I seen a dog in that much pain before. I spun my car back to the clinic and shouted for the veterinarian. At that point, she was completely out of ideas and suggested I either take him somewhere else or have him euthanized. She told me it would be “brave” if I just had him put to sleep. Please keep in mind, Latah Creek Veterinary Clinic charged me nearly $1000. My dog was not properly treated and in fact, was considerably worse off when I left them. It was my impression in the moment that they were in way over their heads they just wanted me and my dog gone, like they got their money, had no other ideas, and just wanted us out of their lives.I rushed him to another veterinary clinic in Spokane. His tongue turned purple on the way there and at the new clinic, they had to perform CPR on him. The new veterinarian had to take all new x-rays because the ones Latah Creek took didn’t show what his experienced eye needed to see. After the new x-rays, it was shown to me that my beloved dog had osteosarcoma and that’s what caused the bone break. I was charged another $1000 by the new clinic where I had my best buddy put to sleep. In my interpretation, had the veterinarians at Latah Creek had proper knowledge and knew what they were doing, they would have found the cancer right off just as the veterinarian in Spokane did and would have saved my dog hours of terrible pain and would have saved me $1000. When it comes to bad experiences at a veterinarian clinic, this, in my view, is as bad as it gets. I was left disgusted and heartbroken by my encounter with Latah Creek and would never recommend anyone go there for anything more than toenail clippings. I have since read other negative reviews of Latah Creek Veterinarian Clinic and noticed how they deflect with pseudo concern, make excuses, and get defensive. I expect they’ll get defensive with me as well, if not blaming me outright, but I am the one who came to them for help, was charged a lot of money, and will have to live with this for the rest of my life – long after they forget all about it.

We absolutely appreciate the fear free atmosphere of this clinic. We also just finished a 4 week behavioral program for our dog, Cocoa (and us), and found it extremely beneficial. Thank you Latah Creek Animal Hospital!
