If I could leave a no star review, that would be the case.
I have frequented Joanne fabrics for well over a few decades. I am a seamstress and have bought patterns, fabric, notions, and crafting supplies and have always had incredibly kind, courteous and helpful experiences with all the associates I have had the pleasure of interacting with.
This was a first time negative experience. Husband and I called Joanne’s before heading there to see what time they close. We were told they are open until 7pm and we could get fabric until then.
We arrived at 6pm and by the time we found the fabrics we were wanting, I went to the cutting counter. Laurie was the name of the associate and she was horrifyingly terrible to deal with. She was walking away from the counter when I walked over and she turned and saw me then sighed very audibly as though I was inconveniencing her. She came over and I asked her if there might be any more inventory of a specific fabric in stock. She said no so I asked her if she might be able to tell me if any of the other stores have it in stock. Again, she let out a massive sigh as though I were inconveniencing her. She proceeded to look it up then told me quite rudely that I could look it up myself in the app. Then my husband came over to see what I found. He asked if she could possibly measure the fabric on the bolt to see if it would be enough for our project. Another rude sign came out. She measured it and we were going to go take one more look at the fabric choices when she said we have 2 minutes to get fabric cut or they won’t do it. She then told us the cutting counter closes at 630pm. My husband was so irritated with her inhospitable nature and rude demeanor he just said we were leaving. As we were walking out, I checked my phone and it was just then 623pm. People like that do not belong helping customers. I understand having a bad day but if you work in customer service, the customer should not be on the receiving end of your frustrations.
This location has lost my business.

new reduced hours and employees weren't very nice about it. store is half empty, what is there isn't organized well either.

I've been coming to the store for years, and I have never ever been treated rude, until today. Generally, everybody seems very nice and pleasant to deal with. Tonya, who had cut my fabric, needs to have an attitude adjustment or get a different job!!! Sometimes, one person can ruin somebody else's whole day!!!

Products are decent but the customer service is awful! The hours said they close at 9 and I went in there around 8. They recently changed their hours to closing at 8 but that's not posted anywhere, still let me in and find what I needed but they were mocking me, being rude and weren't even nice! I was only in there for a couple minutes. Hire better people, one's that are actually nice.

I will never shop here again! They have stolen money out of my account! I made an online order for pick up and they charged my card, then I went to pick my items up and they decided to charge my card a second time, resulting in me being negative in my bank account, which then my bank account turned around and charged me an overdraft fee. The manager at the store doesn’t care at all. I will ever ever shop here again nor recommend this place to anyone. First time shopping here and it was the WORST experience ever. I’ve never dealt with any other hobby store stealing money out of my bank account or ever double charging me! Not OK nor is it Ethical!

I called to ask about sublimation ink and the worker was just very rude and didn't care to answer any of my questions ....not a good way to get people to come down and buy stuff

Nice people but horrible selection of fabrics for anything but quilting. I couldn't find a single cotton knit (T-shirt fabric) for my summer PJ project. Nearly everything was woven quilting fabrics or fleece, and way too much polyester. I am quite bummed because I don't know where to get what I need, nor anyone else wanting clothes that actually fit and function. They seemed receptive to my complaint, so here is hoping they improve.

My wife shops here quite frequently and the discounts make it a favorable craft store for her. My daughter recently discovered string bracelets and we’ve purchased supplies here for her as well. The customer service is always friendly and if we haven’t found in the store we can order online and it arrives quickly. My hobby is music and I’ve found affordable crates for my vinyl and cassettes here. What’s not to like? Great crafts store!
