On 11/21/23 Horizon Credit Union sent me an electronic communication regarding my account that my balance due was $0. Moving forward, they reported my account as 30 days past due in December. Since that time, I have brought the account current. I was entirely mislead by the electronic communication. After receiving the communication, I was under the belief that my account was current ($0 due) as of 11/21/23, as that is what the email expressed. It was not until later that I learned my account was past due. Horizon Credit Union has not aided me in correcting the situation, and have not acknowledged that the communications they delivered were confusing, and mislead me to believe that my account was current as of 11/21/23. If their communications had been accurate and shown my account past due as of 11/21/23, I wouId have paid my payment at the moment I had received that communication. I have submitted complaints to the CFPB and WA DFI to have this issue corrected for me, and any other account holders that may have similar experiences due to the misleading communications Horizon Credit Union shares with account holders.

We have been banking with Horizon CU for years (UHSCU before it became HZCU). They have always been wonderful to us! We decided to get some work done on our house. We were not sure what we needed to do for the line of credit. Lori C. was just wonderful! Walked us through the entire process, treated us great, and made sure we were happy with the services. I highly recommend this bank!

1 star because I have to !!! I have banked here for several years without a complaint, and I also haven't traveled. I am in the middle of a long trip, from Washington to Texas. I walked into my bank and told them and asked them not to cancel because of fraudulent charges from these states. Well my card got jacked in Wyoming and someone charged $70 in Minnesota so I called the number and refused the charge. They immediately canceled my card, the closest branch is 1000 miles away and they will not send it to any other address but the one on file. I asked how was I to get gas or anything, they said just get it out of your account. I asked how, they said I don't know. Well in the meantime I am stuck, I don't know what I am going to do. If you plan on ever traveling AVOID THIS BANK !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bank personel are always knowledgeable and helpful. They are quick to help with transactions, and may times have offered suggestions on bank products that might be of interest to me. Parking is plentiful, drive thru easy to access and handicapped parking and access in is easy.

Not a good credit union. Credit unions are meant to be for the customer and not for profit. Ever since they changed from United Health Service Credit Union they have sucked. Calling is a bad experience. Calls get disconnected and bad service. They have this loan skip a payment program during the holidays and the 35 dollar fee use to go to charity and now it goes in there pocket.

Horrible to try and reach by phone. This is totally unacceptable. You will wait a LONG time if you try their only published phone number to reach a human, otherwise, you're routed through a byzantine series of automated messages and STILL can't reach a human. I'm very angry, I've got an urgent question that is not on their website nowhere to be found and can only be answered by a human. The nearest branch is 50 miles away so that's definitely going to be a problem to take the day and get my question answered in person.

Extremely poor customer service. Someone from horizon will post below "thanks for feedback" "sorry for your experience" "we care" bla bla bla bla. It doesn't mean anything. Don't take my word for it, read the other reviews. They don't answer the phone. Website is down. Poor policies that hurt members. They don't even let you make a on time payment over the phone! Only if it's late (great policy guys) would highly recommend looking at other financial institutions.

I bank with a credit union for a reason. I can call them and a person answers. This used to be the case with the credit union I had that Horizon took over. Now with Horizon Credit Union I spend several minutes navigating an annoying menu system full of information that is not relevant to me. Might as well bank with a regular bank instead of a credit union..

Terrible experience dealing with this organization. The people I worked with were very condescending and rude. Their phone system is horrible as it is very challenging to speak with a human. No one seems to be on the same page as they just transfer you from one person to another. I will never do business with this group ever again and I highly suggest that others take their business elsewhere.

Bottom of the barrel customer service. Like the dried up crumbs at the bottom of the bread bag.. wishing they could be part of an actual piece of bread. This is why Horizon will never be what they “strive” to be.

Asked for my account number to fill out a form. I asked the operator to stay on the line incase I entered it incorrectly as there was a 15 minute hold and I didn't want to have to wait again. They said the could do that and hung up 5 seconds later. It may have been a miscommunication however it's still annoying. Also, the page did end up freezing and I had to reload it, loosing the number I had typed in.

I opened up an account with the credit union cuz a friend says it would help me I left x amount of dollars in there as a savings account for when I needed it I went to go use that money and close the account and they told me because I haven't used the account in x amount of months that they just slowly took my money and no one notified me about it I do not recommend this bank as they are Crooks and thieves because you have to pay to open an account there and then if you use it as a savings account they take your money every month and don't tell you about it Crooks Crooks Crooks
