I want to know how took .09 points away, it’s a 5 all day, not sure what else you could want, maybe CrossFit, we won’t bother you!!! I have been going for 13 months, it’s a great gym,’everyone will help, owner Bruce is awesome, staff is great, hell we have 100 pound plates, you won’t need to look for dumbbells, I doubt you can lift the max here…. That we a big deal for me, other gyms top is 100, that does me no good….

My husband and I have been members at Hardcore Gym for over 4 years now and we love it! Hardcore feels like home all the staff and members are amazing. Drama free, I always feel comfortable coming in and confident leaving! Excellent trainers, Karen is an awesome manager and the owner Bruce is so welcoming and friendly. Bomb equipment that other gyms don’t have from cool old school to brand new equipment. Wouldn’t feel the same going anywhere else. You guys rock! ??✨

"This is the best gym in Spokane. It's clean, professional, and provides a great environment. They have all sorts of weightlifting equipment that you won't see anywhere else. They are always adding and bringing in new equipment. "5/5 stars."

A true bodybuilder's gym yet it has an appeal that will fit anyone's idea of what a gym needs to be, from the average person wanting to be fit, to the top level, professional bodybuilder. Not content with having new and trendy equipment, Bruce (owner) seeks out effective equipment no matter what era it comes from. This is evident by many classic Nautilus pieces being ready for your use.I trained at this gym over the years when I was in Spokane for extended stays and am happy to say that Hardcore is my exclusive training center now. Being around so many people serious about their health and fitness is incredibly motivating!

I have been hitting up gyms all over the Country for 35 years and I am going to say this gym and Armbrust Pro Gym in Colorado are my absolute favorite places to train! Anyone who has been training for awhile knows what I mean when I say it’s not pretty but it is perfect! It is not a cookie cutter gym with rows of the same brand of shiny painted junk. Bruce did a good job carefully selecting pieces of equipment that feel perfect when you are trying to make every workout count! It is a gym where people come for results! Nobody is playing grabass or goofing around. Everyone is respectful! Also there seems to be a good variation of good workout music not just a steady diet of rap. I almost didn’t want to post this review because this gym is one of the hidden gems that we all want to protect and keep for ourselves so if you come please help keep it want it is!

TL;DR: This is probably the best in Spokane if you are looking for a gym that is more oriented towards bodybuilding or powerlifting.Free Weights: There are three squat racks, a lot of benches, deadlifting platforms with barbell jacks, bumper plates, a variety of different barbells including a trap bar and safety squat bar and some Olympic weightlifting bars. There is as wide a variety of dumbbells as you could wish for, I think up to 200lbs.Weight training machines: this gym has without a doubt the best variety of bodybuilding machines in Spokane. As well as the whole range of machines for upper body training, like cables, flies, etc, there is a huge variety of squat variations like belt squat, pendulum squat, leg presses, reverse hypertension machines, and so on. If you have difficulty doing barbell squats or deadlifts for some reason, or you need to do rehab, you will probably find a machine here that works for you.Calisthenics/Functional fitness/etc: This gym doesn't have things like tires, sandbags, sleds, battle ropes, a rope to climb, or a turf mat. There are a few kettlebells, mostly less than 30 pounds or so. However, there is an area for stretching with some resistance bands and yoga mats. There is a big enough open area down the front of the gym to do farmer carries, walking lunges, and that kind of thing.Cardio: There isn't a massive selection of cardio machines like you will find at big name commercial gyms. However, there are 8 or so treadmills, some exercise bikes, and stepmills. I use the treadmills and stepmills here all the time, and even though there aren't many of them, I've never had to wait for a machine longer than a minute or two.Personal Training: if you are interested in bodybuilding, there is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the best gyms in the state, if not the entire country, to get training, from amateur to pro level. If you don't care about bodybuilding, the coaches here are still extremely knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition in general. They are also very approachable and friendly; I have seen them working with all kinds of folk.Facilities: There are a couple of bathrooms, but no showers. Towels and sanitizer are always available. This isn't a big commercial gym with a million TVs on the walls and a brand new remodel every 5 years, but everything is kept clean and orderly. There is WiFi. You can buy protein powder and supplements here. There aren't drinking fountains, so bring a water bottle.Staff: It's kind of hit or miss whether staff is available, so I recommend getting in touch via email. The best time to walk in is probably weekday mornings. Once you get a membership, your key fob works 24/7.Conclusion: this is a lifter's gym. Another review put it best: Planet Fitness has nightmares about this place. People won't look at you funny for dropping weights or using chalk. If you're interested in either bodybuilding or powerlifting, you can probably learn more from a 5 minute conversation with a random person here than you can from weeks with a personal trainer at other gyms. Don't be intimidated by the fact that some of these guys are built like fortresses; it is a very friendly, welcoming community, especially to new lifters.

Member only access adds security, 3 out of 4 parking lot lights being out detracts from security. It states it's wheelchair accessible but the truth is, the longer I've been there the more crowded it is with machines, and much of the area would be hard or impossible for someone in a wheelchair or with a cane to get to. I have some vision impairment and hurt myself on the machines due to the crowding, I let them know, nothing was changed. I like that there are so many windows during most weather. However, in the heatwave this last summer the blinds on the windows to the south and west were left all the way open, making a whole section of the gym super hot, in direct sun, I saw I wasn't the only one avoiding that area. A whole section less usable and yet we are paying for that area for our use. There is no string on the blinds for gym members to adjust the blinds down. I reached out (months ago) by phone and FB message, no answer as of yet. I could understand better if it was a cheap 10 a month place but that is not the case here.

Old school gym that offered a good casual rate with everything my friend and I needed. If I lived in Spokane I’d consider signing up here. Some of the equipment is a bit dated but it was in good condition and was fit for purpose. I thought it added some charm.

Came to Spokane for a week and was able to get a week pass while I was there. The owner was very responsive and helpful in the whole process! Gym was clean, had great machine options and the gym goers were friendly. Sad to leave but will make another visit the next time I am in Spokane!
