Went and got a perm done here 7/29/25, i wish i would have listened to the lady that i asked advice from instead of the lady that actually did my hair cuz the ending result was just mushy unmanageable gross gummy feeling hair , because I have bleach on my hair from about 10 months ago, I wish I would’ve listened to the lady that warned me. It was not going to be a good idea.. But instead, I listened to the hairstylist that talked, me into doing it i don’t remember the ladys name that did it … when I left the hair salon, I could literally sit and pull my hair out in the park lot, it was like basically falling out of my hair.. It was so Gummy…. And she just let me leave The hair salon with this unmanageable gummy texture hair… played it off like it was “so adorable” AND IT WAS DRIPPING SOPPING WET… Instead of being completely honest with me.. That the perm solution literally ruined my hair.. I would’ve really appreciated some honesty in the aspect that after everything was done instead of playing it off like it actually looked good, I would’ve really appreciated her telling me that it literally ruined my hair, Because it took me going to another hair salon to figure it out, it straight up It bothered me so much that I went to another hair salon for a second opinion… And after I went to this other hair salon, they washed my hair and did a deep conditioning session and it felt SOOOO much better… I could actually run my fingers through my hair And it was not constantly tangled… I guess when I went in here for a perm, I had a different expectation when I was going to leave on what I wanted the curls to look like?? Not whatever this was cause it bothered me so much after i left I was literally like hyper fixating on my hair… So I panicked And left my house and went to a completely different hair salon for some advice… And yeah, I should not have permed bleached hair. I guess that part was my fault. But I would also like to think that the stylist was kind of that fault too because she went ahead and talked me into it anyway and told me my hair would be fine, When in reality, it wasn’t and it completely ruined my hair. I wish I would’ve listened to that other old lady that warned me it was gonna be a bad idea, But I’m not very happy at the fact that after everything was done, she basically played it off like my hair was really cute and it was gummy, gross, and extremely unmanageable. But thankfully, to a different hair salon, they fixed my issue, After a deep conditioning session. Feel like I waisted $230. I honestly would’ve appreciated some honesty from the stylist that did it, and rather instead of just going ahead and doing it, be completely honest that i wasnt going to like it, and it was gonna ruin my hair. But instead, she played everything off like it was going to be fine. Some honesty and refusal of not wanting to do it would have been So much more appreciated , Than playing it off like my hair was going to be fine. But now because of how my hair turned out in the end, it is literally completely ruined from this perm solution… It’s gonna take me a very long time to repair my hair from this. Not to mention the whole time we were doing this, she kept asking questions to all the other stylists like she didnt know what she was doing… i honestly hate my hair the more i sit and look at it. If i could figure out how to post a photo i would cause it was absolutely embarrassing

I'm new to the area and I found this salon close to our home. Jill at Hair Etc. has done my hair twice now and both times she did a fantastic job! I have thin hair, and she took her time ensuring that the layers were done just right. She's super friendly and fun to talk to as well! Highly recommend this salon for anyone that needs a new hairdresser.

Super amazing vibes in this salon! Offers coffee & cookies with service and the stylists are all so sweet. Bethany was the sweetest and got my hair looking even better than i wanted! Everyone here is so kind and patient.

Love this place and the people! Been coming here over 25 years. Although Stacy is my favorite when she’s just too far booked she recommends any of her coworkers and I have never walked out disapointed.

I have been looking for a place FOREVER that is comfortable and affordable and I found it. I had an appointment with Lynn today and she was amazing! I have super thick hair and anytime I ask to have it thinned I get the dirtiest looks lol but Lynn offered before I even said anything. She was attentive and just good at her job I will be going back!

Bethany did my hair cut,she was a doll.She did an amazing job on my hair and quite the conversationalist.We were like 2 peas in a pod She listened to everything that I requested and did excellent work..I highly recommended her.

Hair Etc, everyone is so sweet and accommodating! Bethany did my sisters hair, and it turned out beautifully! Even with bleached and damaged hair due to us telling her! Worked with us wonderfully! All the staff is so sweet! Thank you guys soo much!

I came to Hair etc today and saw Bethany. She did a wonderful job! Unfortunately, I knew I was going to have to cut my hair due to the damage, but Bethany saved as much as she possibly could and we worked with it! I am beyond pleased with the outcome! I was absolutely not expecting perfection due to the shape of my hair, but she nailed it and earned a client! I’m not sure of the review below, but I do know that Bethany was completely honest with me. You have to know that your hair might not like a product like a color, or a chemical in a perm and your hair may break if you have fragile hair, damaged hair, health conditions, and so much more. Lastly, thank you for getting me in so quickly! I very much appreciate it!

BETHANY!!!!! OHHHHH MY GOODNESS BETHHAAAANNNYYY! That girl is soooo amazing and has such wonderful talent and I would recommend to her absolutely everyone. She’s so precious of a human and her work is incredible. She makes getting my hair done absolutely so comfortable and a wonderful time. This has been the most horrific experience of my entire life. Bethany ruined my healthy, beautiful hair and this damage will take over a year to recover. I came in for a perm and Bethany acted confident in what she was doing so I booked the appointment with her. I came out of the salon with damaged, stringy hair that was not curly. I thought maybe I have to wait so I waited an entire day but realized very quickly something was wrong. I came back for her to “fix” it thinking the least she can do is repair the damaged she has done. She told me she will give me a “baby trim” to help cut off some of the damage. She took nearly 3 inches off as you can see in the photos. My hair is not only damaged now from her incompetence to know how to do a proper perm, it is now chopped up as if a toddler ran through it with a pair of scissors. To make things worse not once did she say sorry. She tried to blame it on me and make it seem like she did her job. She kept trying to convince me that she indeed “gave me curls”. Please do not go to Bethany. I would not wish what she did to me upon my worst enemy.

I just had my first haircut here today, with Gayle. Came in feeling pretty schlumpy, left feeling like a million bucks. Gayle really listened when I didn’t know what I wanted myself! She gave me a great cut, style and blow dry and you could see her craftsmanship as she made sure each side was cut evenly. I love my new look , enjoyed the ambiance of the shop … very calming! I’ll be back! Other reviewers’ comments about it being easy to book appointments are true!
