Don't bother with their extended warranty. Bought a fridge from them two years ago and paid for the five year extended warranty. Pretty sure the evap fan has gone out, which basically makes the fridge useless. Called for service and a repair is about four weeks out. They said they would diagnose in two weeks and it would be another two weeks before a tech could get out to fix it once the part is in. That's horrible service; this is a refrigerator. You can wash dishes by hand, you can take clothes to a laundromat, but there aren't too many alternatives to cooling food every minute of the day. Pretty sure I'll be able to figure it out on my own and get it fixed a lot faster. Don't waste your money with their extended warranty. There's plenty of great repairmen out there that can do a much more efficient job. Thanks a lot Fred's for taking our money and doing nothing for it. We'll be sure to shop big box in the future instead of local.
Clearly I'm not the only one. Lots of negative reviews on their extended warranty. In my opinion, this is nothing but a profit center of unfulfilled service levels by a company taking advantage of working families.

Always good service and value. My first stop for appliances has always been Fred’s for the last 30-40 years.

Chase was on the case! He got us in and out with an amazing deal on our washer and dryer. Could not be happier with the customer service!

We’ve seen Fred’s Appliance grow from a little used appliance store with dings and so on, to a full scale operation. We saw it from afar. I think we rented to own something decades ago. We recently bought a washer and a dryer from them. Chase, one of the representatives there, answered all of my questions perfectly and he helped us set it up. They delivered our washer and dryer here, the team who brought it was great. We had a little problem with the door. They fixed that. We bought a five-year warranty. They fix things in house so, you don’t have to call a technician and then get reimbursed. Their service has been incredible. They stood behind their product. Now, we’ve purchased a stove, a range from them and they sent us home with two different cords because, I wasn’t sure if we had a three prong or a four prong outlet. We were to pay for one cord and bring the other one back, which we did. They took our old stove. That thing was a sorry mess of a stove.
If I have any questions, comments concerns I always reach out for Chase. He’s been fantastic. Chris is another gentleman who has been great. The whole team and the whole system has been fantastic. I would highly recommend Fred’s Appliancef for any appliance that you need. They’re knowledgeable, helpful and they stand behind their products. I love it. Thank you, Fred’s! Thank you, Chase! And thank you, Chris.

Please dear God stay away from Fred's. I wish I could give zero or negative stars. My initial interaction was great, and my wife and I bought a washer and dryer. 2-3 years later, the washer dies and we call in for warranty work since we bought the 500 dollar warranty. It took a month or so of no washer before a tech came out and install the board that failed. We were told the reason it is taking so long is they do not have enough service techs available to get us in faster and they constantly overbook their techs. When the tech installed the part, everything seemed fine but after some use it was found that the tech programmed the board incorrectly and he would have to order a new one. The washer works, ish.... About 2 months later (currently), they have the part and want us to wait another 17 days to get the board replaced again. This is again overbooking the techs if not we have to wait over a month. I have now griped enough that I'm waiting for contact from a manager. I wish I could help these employees more and make a difference but with how I am seeing them treat their employees I doubt any change will actually happen. Will update if any significant changes happen one way or another

Very knowledgeable customer service. Quick. Answered all my questions and accommodated my requests.
Purchased extended warranty. When it was time to use it, the picture changed. I had a scheduled appointment several weeks out and got a call on the day of the appointment for a visit between 10-12. The technician did not show up on time, did not call. Showed up later in the afternoon when I was not home.
Rescheduled for two weeks later. Got a call at 8:30 stating my appointment was cancelled and rescheduled for three weeks later.
I am not sure what value I am getting out of an extended warranty that takes months before a technician arrives, if ever.

Chris helped us with our kitchen appliances for our new home. When it was time to replace our laundry machines we called Chris. He recomended Electrolux front loaders. We ordered & paid for them from our home. Picked them up from the warehouse. I finished installing them last night. They look great! Thanks Chris!

Devin is my regular salesperson and he always gets 5 stars as far as I'm concerned. The customer care division is always a 1 star. Their technicians are missing things and have to come back several times. I switch out washers and dryers the morning before scheduled repairs so the tech doesn't have to. I've had several cancelations recently and have to return to the houses to switch back to a working appliance. When phoning in for repairs, I am often told that there is no warranty when there is. I feel that this process needs to be better managed for the convenience of your customers.

The drain hose on my washing machine got a leak. I paid Fred's $130 to send a technician. He brought a hose that didn't fit - it was the right diameter but not long enough. He said he'd look for a different solution and would call me back, but he closed the ticket and never called back. I called Fred's and they said they couldn't fix it, and they would not refund the $130. I went to Home Depot and bought a universal hose, and called Fred's again. They sent out a technician to install it. I am happy with the final result, but not the way it all went down. They should have notified me before closing out the ticket. They could have supplied a universal hose or told me to get one. In summary, I think their technicians are good, but their communication isn't great.
