I bought a pair of custom fire commanders. The left boot fits like a glove. Both have a very nice snug fit. The material is very tough, looks and feels nice. However, the right boot's arch is completely off. It's not aligned with my right foots arch at all and is digging into the side of my foot and heal. This is something I reported when I received the try on pair and it was never remedied. It's not something I can break in either, the boots arch is shaped differently than my foot.I got these boots for outdoors work and the level of discomfort/pain I feel with my right foots arch & heal is unbearable to even consider wearing them for work. From what I understand, I cannot return custom made boots, I'll just have to chalk this up as a loss.

I purchased slippers from Franks Boots. I didn't realize how fluffy they are inside - they are a bit tight. I would recommend ordering at least a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. I decided not to return the pair I bought . . . I figure eventually I'll wear down the fake fur and then I can wear them with socks. I would like to say, they are very well made and very warm. I would purchase again - just order a bit larger slippers.

Got my first pair of Frank’s boots several weeks ago. Station boots. After reviewing my fit sheet, they wanted to send me a pair of boots to fit test since my feet measured different sizes. I did this, and paid for that but I’m glad I did. I received my pair of boots which are different sizes. The break in instructions were very helpful. I don’t walk this much every day, but the second day I wore them I walked 2 miles in the morning and 4.5 miles in the afternoon. My feet/legs weren’t sore like they would have been without good boots. I almost got a blister but didn’t. Since then I wear them for 6-12 hours 6 days a week. I’ve been tightening the laces daily then every few days. So for love them. Time will tell how well they hold up, but solid start.

I made a visit to Frank’s shop for an in person fitting. I later called and ordered a pair of Frank’s Front Range according to their measurements they took. After receiving my boots a short time later and wore them a few times I noticed they were too short. I am normally the type of person that assumes responsibility for what I buy. In other words I do not like to hold the business responsible for something I may not be satisfied with. I thought I could just tough it out and allow the boots to stretch or break in. It wasn’t gonna happen. Due to the financial investment of the boots, I did what I was very hesitant to do…I contacted Frank’s and even talked to Mr Frank himself. I explained the situation with the boots. He assured me they can fix them to fit exactly how I need them to no questions asked.I mailed them back to Frank’s. A few months later received the boots. I’m not sure what they did, however the boots fit perfectly now. Not fully broken in and they already feel like slippers! Not enough can be said about the customer service from Veronica and Frank. I will be a lifelong customer.Anyone considering a pair of Franks boots, do not hesitate to make the purchase. You’re not only purchasing an excellent pair of boots, you’re getting A+ customer service.

After reading the reviews I've decided to share my experience with franks boots.I spent $800 on a pair of boot to get just what I wanted . When I called with an issue I spoke with the owner who was very rude and threatened to not do anything to help me if I didn't listen and agree to his excuses on the issue of the boots looking like two different people made them. They never fit right or looked right. In the end I got zero help and ended up with a pair of boots I didn't like and never really used. I've had hard to break in boots before, not the issue I was worried about. I'll never buy franks boots again due to horrible after sales customer service.Kevin King

These are the best boots in the world. I flew in from TN to get a pair. I will be back! My only fear is if Frank ever retires.

When you spend 600 dollars on a pair of boots you expect everything to be the way it should be, and the company to stand behind the boot should any issues arise within a reasonable time frame. Have worn my ground pounders maybe 10 times and the inside sock liner started to come making the boot uncomfortable to wear. Instead of fixing the boot, the answer was that because return shipping is too expensive I should just glue it back down myself. Never had to glue a pair of 200 boots much less franks 600+ dollars boots but with franks I guess it’s a thing. Not to mention I doubt gluing the failed adhesive back down is going to keep it from failing again in the future. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Frank's boot company is amazing! I live on the east coast and have been wanting to get a pair of boots made by Frank since 2014 when he featured on wranglerstars tour video. Meeting Frank and Michelle in person was a great experience and they make you feel like family when talking with them. Frank's isn't just another boot company, they actually care about the boots they make and the people who put long days in them.

These boots are made to last, from the best materials you can find worldwide , handcrafted from the best foreman I‘ve ever seen. I‘m so proud to know you and it makes me happy every day again to wear these great pieces of leather-art on my feet ! Thank you Frank Petrilli and your whole staff !!!

This was the first time I used them as a service to stretch out my engineers style boots I had just gotten brand new. Older gentlemen behind the counter was professional and great to deal with! I have plenty of other leather projects I will be bringing them!! Highly recommend!

Called and spoke to Frank about sizing because, well, I wanted to buy something off the shelf because I'm impatient. Frank named off the size I need based on what I'd been wearing and what arrived is perfect. There were a couple of shipping hiccups, partially caused by me changing my order to include a t-shirt and partially because what they listed on the website in the "ready to ship" section was listed incorrectly and they wanted to call to ask me if it was okay before they shipped. Calling me never happened for whatever reason. I think it's one of those deals that happens with smaller Mom and Pop outfits when the kids work there too. This isn't to say that the kids aren't doing the job, not at all, it's just saying it's a smaller company with a large workload and shared responsibilities for the same task. This isn't a major corporation with its own shipping staff. As I understand it, one sibling handles the UPS packages and the other handles the USPS packages depending on location. My location required USPS and because I added it to the order it made some confusion. This is proven because they shipped me a t-shirt in the boot box (as I requested) and about a month later, another t-shirt showed up! Free stuff! lol. (TBH when I send this next pair in for a rebuild, I'll send the shirt back if they want.)In my dealings with them on the phone, I think I spoke to nearly every family member at one point or another and they were all incredibly nice and seemed to be trying hard to please me. The boots themselves, a Highlander model are fantastic. They're quite comfortable, the break-in wasn't terrible, and I've beat the living daylights out of them shoveling through ice and snow with a spade-type shovel and working as a Diesel mechanic in the shop and they don't look phased at all. I've done the same with USA-made Danner Quarries and within 2 weeks they looked bad. Really bad. I've had these Highlanders for going on three months now and they really barely look worn.Overall the experience has been a very good one. I don't understand the other reviews that are 1 star. I tend to think some people if everything isn't absolutely perfect and handed to them on a platter, they'll overreact in their review and tank a good company's reviews out of entitlement. I mean, their bread and butter are work boots made the same way they've been made for a hundred years and people with work boots care if they last, not if the colors match perfectly after you've oiled the bejeesus out of them. And also, they say upfront there is a variable waiting time from the time you order to the time you receive your boots. If you can't handle that, go buy your boots at some box store and then buy boots again in six months because they won't last.Dont get me wrong, if they mess up your boot order, they should be the ones paying the shipping in my opinion. If nothing else then as a financial incentive to not mess up the next order, but If you wear them outside, oil the bejeesus out of them, and then two months later have an issue with coloring, yeah bro, that's on you. Especially if you bought them as seconds to begin with.

I own around 40 pairs of various boots, some being PNW handmade boots, Italian hunting/hiking boots, and I’ll say that Franks boots are the best built boots on the planet. And it doesn’t stop there, if you can dream it the gifted craftsman at franks can make that dream come true with the longest list of custom options out of any boot company I’ve seen. Give them a call( a real person will answer just like it’s 1955!)and order yours today!

To make long story short. After very long and unpleasant conversation I still think that Left boot should look and feel the same as Righ, regardless of the price tag.My advice, stay away from this guys.

I did the whole boot loop in Spokane, went to JK's, Nicks, and Whites. The service I received at Frank's was a step above the best of the others, and a Kilimanjaro climb above the worst. I was greeted right when I came in, asked about what I was looking for. I went over a few styles and leathers with one of the employees, brought up my weird feet and Frank was summoned almost instantly. Even though Frank's shop is small, they had multiple front end employees, what a concept, looking at you Nicks. I started talking to Frank I told him my feet were weird, and the first thing he did was take real measurements of my feet. We chatted about my needs, wants, etc. He was still helping folks while helping me, but I never felt ignored and he apologized every time. I was able to try on a few pairs that were close. With that he was able to determine the last he'd need and how much waist leather to add in order to make my feet work. We went through every little customization and there were no compromises. He was going to build me the exact boot I wanted, to the shape of my actual foot, and guaranteed they'd fit or he'd fix them. Plus his lead time was half of the other guys. After that experience it was a no brainier. Frank earned my business, and as long as the boots come out well, he's probably who I'll stick with anytime I need another pair.So in summary, if you ever make it out to Spokane to check the shops in person, you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you skipped Frank's for any reason. I'll be posting the results of my boots when I get them, but I trust Frank to do it right more than any of the other shops I talked to.
