Terrible, terrible, terrible service! Awful customer service with rude people. They lock you into a 12 month contract with this AWFUL internet service that constantly freezes up. Don’t bother calling for help because the technician doesn’t care, is rude, and tells me I’m getting more speed than I paid for. ROFL. Speed? Turtle speed. I am breaking my contract. They called to collect $. The receptionist yelled at me and says they refuse to take their equipment back until I pay the next 10 months. They’re sending me to collection. Not a good service. Not good people. Beware.

I recently called inquiring about cell service from Saber/cougar. Leaving my address on there voice for a return call. With the call back I was informed there was no way at all possible I could get service with all the tree coverage and so on. How could they possibly know that, google earth maybe, but maybe I had trees removed or my line of sight could be there. They wouldn’t even get off their couch to see or listen. I told the gal I had another’s company out “that actually did come and see for them selves,” that they showed a strong signal from two sources Saber being one of them. She went in to tell me there’s no way possible and she’s not sure why they would say that and were they could of gotten that information and didn’t know what they are talking about blah, blah,blah. She should thank them for the referral but that probably wouldn’t compute. Her tone is rude and condescending if that accounts for anything nowadays. I’m pretty sure customer service is a lost art, and further more I wouldn’t want service from this outfit if it was fee, heck just read the other reviews.Thank you and have a nice day

I am fairly new to cougar wireless and I may update this later, but I'm writing this solely on my experience with customer service and billing. We are a family of 4 and like everyone else struggling in these times. Their billing is flawed. I tried to pay my bill EARLY and they refuse to allow me to do a 1 time payment. I am doing this to ensure they get paid. I wanted to make sure they got their funds by the 10th because I was very rudely informed last month that if my card declined so many times they will CANCEL my service after so many times. Regardless if I call in that same day or even the next to pay. Times are ROUGH right now. It's not easy for anyone right now and if my husband needs gas for work or we need money for food, a bill is going to have to get put to the weigh side and that bill for most families is internet. I have read a lot of the reviews on here and I have personally worked in customer service for 20 years and I'm sorry but this isn't it. Compassion and empathy are HUGE when working customer service. If you have MULTIPLE people complaining about the same exact rudeness, then it may be time for a change. There are courses you can take to learn the logistics of customer service. Just a thought. I am not trying to tarnish my relationship with saber/cougar, but I just purchased my home and I'd rather not have to deal with this for years to come so I really hope that they take my review seriously. I know reading your reviews that you don't think you're being unprofessional or rude when you speak to people, but you are. Tone is everything. The WAY you speak to people, the way you understand what they are saying, and the way you TRULY help them speaks volumes.

Terrible service. Speeds are subpar, at best. Yoh barely get 50% of what you pay for. The customer service is completely unprofessional. Will blame you for any problem and will do almost no troubleshooting when issues happen. Every single customer service agent ive spoke to has been rude and insulting. Im absolutely ashamed that I gave them money for over a year. Worst service I have ever experienced in every regard of the service I've had. You cannot even cancel when you want. Constant problems. Lies from both installers and technicians about issues. And sarcasm from every person I've talked to.

Truthfully, I read the reviews and thought this would be a good company to avoid. But, as I searched for other internet providers for my new home in Fairfield, they all struck out. Several did not respond back to me. Some would not give much details on their service. One out right lied to me about their speed and service (we have a home office plus stream videos......said that was no problem. It was and their tech admitted it afterwards, but not until after I had signed a 2-year contract.) And one company actually did come out, but told me they didn't have signal at my house. Meanwhile, two different of my neighbors told me they were with Cougar Wireless. So I finally called. I got Janet. She is businesslike. If you want flirty, that ain't her (and probably shouldn't be). She provided great service, was nice, got me lined out, was totally transparent. The tech (I forget his name) showed up on time and installed without problem and did not leave until I had tested the speed in several different ways and made sure it worked. He listened to my concerns and explained what he was doing and why. Great service again. And guess what? We now have great high speed internet and are enjoying it. No spinning, no error messages. It is working great. 5 Stars, no question. I only wish I had started my shopping here and ignored the poor reviews.

The service is terrible and the staff blows smoke up your a** every chance they get. They advertise it as one number, and you get something that's probably 1/80th of the speed. They'll tell you they need to send a technician out to fix your equipment, just for him to come look at it, tell you it's definitely a satellite, then leaves. Oops now you've just given them more money, and gotten nothing done. They'll completely shut off your service all the time with zero warning, then when you call they tell you they received a false flag for "port scanning" or "hacking" and then tell you "our mistake, let's get that turned back on after our lunch break, and maybe a nap!" AND THAT'S ONLY IF THEY ANSWER THE D*** PHONE! Cougar Wireless is one of THE WORST internet companies you could ever give money away to in return for absolute zero.

I had service with this company for a year. It was a rough year going through this internet service company. In the end the company did credit me back all that was owed to me and I appreciate that they did the right thing. Thank you

I used this service and when I have called in the past I was assisted by Janet, she is very rude and gets very hostile when you ask questions she does not like and this is terrible customer service. I think she needs anger management because her blood pressure must be elevated. She just needs to be more understanding because I will change to a different service provider because I wont subject myself to listen to hear nagging voice ever again. The service is not worth dealing with the staff at Cougar Wireless because it reminds me of Dial up internet I had back in 2003-2004 very slow and unreliable internet.

Awful service, consistently don’t have service, it’s the only option so we are stuck. This company needs to upgrade their equipment and be responsive to customers who inform them of issues. Forget trying to watch Netflix, connect for class or work remotely. We constantly have to reset the internet, five times in the last seven days is a bit much. We don’t have the cheapest plan either. Husband left a message for tech support, we’ll see if they actually call back and if anything gets resolved...it usually doesn’t.

I had service with this company for a year. It was a rough year going through this internet service company. In the end the company did credit me back what was owed from my prorated service being interrupted due to the owner of the wireless company getting hostile and terminating my service because of her temper. I would not want to continue service for my family to be subjected to that kind of treatment because kindness is the answer and I hope the best all the same. I appreciate your company making things right by refunding what was owed to me.

The internet service they provide has been top notch. Have not not had any interruptions and streaming has been without flaw. The lady I dealt with on the phone is very professional and informative and the installer was very helpful and clear in what needed to be done. I recommend this service.

I called to inquire about my mothers account because she is blind and relies about the internet to the devices she uses to help her because of her disability, I have a seven year old that needs school work and can't complete because the manager of cougar is disconnecting my mothers service because she said we complain a lot and she is tired of it. This is so wrong we will have no choice but to go public with the local news agency to see if they can report this terrible situation due to a manager that is mad or upset that we have called with simple questions in the past. I feel sorry that any company can treat customers in this manner.

There service was great the first month & half than the wifi signal dropped not able to stream to my tv paying 99.00 a month. I called in and the customer service was horrible i asked to speak with the manager and she said she was the manager. I will find a better service. Hope everyone reads the reviews before getting service through them.

I called to ask about internet service but after speaking with the lady I spoke with I decided not to go through with setting up service with Cougar Wireless. The person was not pleasant to speak with and acted like she was annoyed with my question about the internet service. After reading other reviews I am glad I did not get service with them.
