I came in to the store on Division in spokane. I spent over $1200 to get a new remote start and backup camera installed on 10/05/24. I was waiting outside in the parking lot for the store to open at 9AM. The employees were starting to show up for some type of meeting. Some guy with long black hair who I was later told was the manager told me I had to leave because the store wasn't opened yet. I was waiting for them to open. I knew that they weren't open yet and it wasn't like I was banging on the door, I was just patiently waiting for them to open. My son was worried we would get towed so we left and came back. When we came back, we were then pushed to the bottom of the list even though we were there first. It took them until 7:30 at night to do the job. When I finally got my truck back, the radio didn't work anymore. I had to bring the truck back the next morning so they could plug the antenna back in. The managers behavior was rude and inexcusable. I was offered a lame apology and the excuse that he acts like this a lot. The other employees were nice but I was put through a lot of inconvenience and I won't be back

After contacting my car dealership regarding a power drain issue, I was referred back to the installers who installed my after market items. At Car Toys, John brought the car in and discussed the issues with me and allowed me to make the decision on how to proceed. He disconnected my after market items and my vehicle still had a power draw. Turns out the issue all along was a bad factory unit that had to be replaced by my dealer. Kudos to installer John and the team at Car Toys for making the experience as painless as they could within their span of control. Well played brother!!

Updating rating... trim panel in the rear door jam was left laying in the back seat, after looking at it to figure out how to reinstall it, I noticed 6 of the 8 clips to install it were broken. No one said anything to me about this, I'm sure I signed something waiving them of responsibility, but now I'm left identifying the part name/number and purchasing that myself. Some communication would have been appreciated.

I chose Car Toys due to their experience working on car electronics. I brought my own cables and 12vdc wiring for the install. All I needed was to have firewall access for a 6 wire cable and 2 runs red/blk zipline run from passenger aux battery thru firewall and into the interior of my 02 Suburban. I actually showed the installer ( trainee) exactly what I wanted and where I needed it, of which I asked him if he understood, to which he replied in the affirm. He was asked to run 2 lengths of red/blk wiring from aux battery to a 6 position switch middle of console, the other run was from battery to rear fuse panel located in the rear of the vehicle. Upon completion, the installer informed me that he had zip tied all the wires under the hood and dash. When I returned home I discovered that the install was not not done to my requests! The installer cut the red/blk wire seperating it into individual strands. He ran the red wire into cab and over to the switch box, however, it was too short. He ran a blk wire long enough to reach my fuse block in rear, of which was zip tied under the dash. Bottom line is I paid over $170.00 for a project that was shoddy at best, not completed as per my request. The insult to the whole issue, the installed left greasy palm prints on the hood in two different locations, very sloppy install, will never take another vehicle back to this shop ????????????????
