When the Pandemic started the Methadone clinic went with SAMHSA guidelines to have the more flexible dosing schedule to protect clients against unnecessary exposure to Covid. Then in December that changed. They reduced the monthly carries to every 2 weeks without Just Cause. The Pandemic hasn't ended the Omicron variant is spreading WA state went from 3 cases to over 400 in just 2 weeks. We are still under a PHE but SRHD has chosen to ignore guidance from SAMHSA guidelines and also the fact we're still under aPHE. This is forcing clients to be exposed to Covid with more people being crammed into the clinic. This is a Covid catching nightmare.
