I am very sad to post this negative review. If you look at my previous reviews I usually give high praise to businesses I go to. In this case I bought a new battery for my 2012 Scion at this business at the cost of $273.74. I used the battery for two weeks and then we went off for a one month vacation in Arizona to see our kids for Christmas. When we came back the battery was totally dead. We need two cars so I took the battery back for a replacement. I was told that "policy" is they keep the battery for testing and to see if it charges up. They said they would call me within a week and let me know if I could get a refund or replacement. I HAD to buy another batter right now because we needed two cars so I paid another $270 for a battery that I could take home with me. I waited for their call for weeks - no call. I checked my phone list and no call. I went in today Feb 12, 2024 and they told me that my battery had been returned to their supplier and that it was gone and they couldn't give me a refund. They did offer a $10 O'Reilly gift card but that's it. The five people working there just had blank faces, no sorry, no remedy. I've been shopping at O'Reilly for over 25 years - longer if you count the time before they changed names. They have lost my business.You have to wonder if this has happened to other people. You try to return a bad battery, then you have to buy another because they can't give you a new one or refund until it's tested. Then they say they will call, but never call......I called my credit card company and they started the paperwork to dispute the original charge. The person taking my information was aghast at the information.
