We wanted a place where they really cared about the last moment of your beloved pet. Scott of Ark NW was so kind and gentle. He really made the pain of losing our little son with his kindness and compassion. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much Scott!

CHEAP AMAZING SERVICE!!!! If you are looking for an affordable place to get your beloved pet cremated go to this place! My beautiful 17 yrs old (10lbs) had chronic kidney failure and my sister's 19yrs old (15lbs) shih-tzus had heart failure were cremated here (he passed away 6 mths before mine). They charged based on size and it was only $100/ea!!! Open from 8:00am - 4:00pm. Appointments only. Calls are return very quickly if you leave a voicemail. Scott, owner is a very friendly kind man. He's been in the business close to 30yrs. Originally he only contracted with other vet clinics to do their cremation for them, but when he heard how much they were marking up the price he decided to open it up to the public. The cremation service comes with a tin can for the ashes. First he puts it in a bag then in the tin can so it is easy to transport if you want to use your own urn. You do have the option to buy urns from him if you want. Do not expect a very nice fancy can. For the price he charge it's expected. Other vet clinics wanted to charge me $250-$325 (for 10 lbs dog) to take her to cremate. With the savings I'm getting for going here I'll be buying my dog a fancy one. We decided to have our dogs cremated with flowers, their favorite blanket and sweater. He gives you the option to cremate your pet with whatever you want (to a certain extent of course) and he cremated each dog separately. I highly recommend cremating your dog here. At first I was hesitant to have my dog euthanized at home and not let the vet take her, but I decided in the end to have her for a day to say my goodbyes. The vet came late in the evening to my house to euthanize her so it wasn't until the next day I could take her to cremate, which was fine. If you are worried about body fluids leaking out, there was none. It takes a few days for that to occur. She actually didn't get cold until 10 hrs later. I did not put ice on her nor put her in the fridge/freezer I just had her in her bed next to to me for the entire night. Her body didn't smell nor was it stiff. I'm really glad I did that because I wasn't ready to let her go so when i had to do it I was in a daze. The time I had after her passing gave me some closure and it made me realize that the decision to euthanize her was the right choice because she was suffering and the Dr said she would start having seizures so I had to make the decision quick, which didn't give me much time to prepare to let her go. Having Scott cremate my dog and knowing that she is in good hands to the very end gave me a lot of closure. However, I'm still very sad and only time will heal that.

We had a tragic loss with our sweet Shelby dog & needed to suddenly have her cremated. We called Scott & he was very sensitive to our situation and returned our call quickly and even came in on his day off. We have so much gratitude and appreciation for him taking such good care of us and Shelby. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will recommend him to anyone!

Thank you Scott for taking care of my baby when others charging double and told me that they don't have time. And takes 5-10 days for me to pick up the ashes. Let's be real. This is a place to provide an affordable cremation service. It doesn't have a fancy room for you to mourn or to watch the cremation. In fact, it looks like an auto repair shop when you have arrived. So what? What this man does is make sure your love one is taken care of properly one at a time. I don't have to think twice to suspect that is not my baby's ashes. I got the ashes back the next day. And no, it doesn't come with a fancy wooden box urn that you actually paid when you pay for the service. But you can sure buy one from Scott if you like. His prices are reasonable.

I just lost my pet after 17 years and called several places to get pricing. After calling Ark Northwest and speaking to Scott, I decided to go with this business to cremate my cat. Ark Northwest has been in business for over 23 years. Located off 146th/Pacific Avenue in Spanaway, it was easy to find. The costs are substantially lower (over $100) compared to other crematoriums in the Puget Sound region. You are given as much time as you need to say goodbye to your beloved pet, which I went back twice before leaving. I picked up my kitty's ashes the following day. If you're not wanting to spend HUNDREDS of dollars to cremate your pet, Scott at Ark Northwest is very professional, compassionate and I HIGHLY recommend this business to everyone.

Our 16 year old dog was dying. We did not know what time frame we had. March 8th, we called Ark NW explaining our situation. They gave us a fair price & no problem whenever we need to call. The next evening, sooner than we expected, March 9th our dog died. March 10th, we took him to Ark NW March & the next day March 11th, we received back his paperwork & ashes packed in plastic bag inside nice tin. Very professional and considerate. Every other place we called including veterinary clinics wanted an appt, an exam, and 2 week wait time. Thank Scott & Ark
