I live in Lk Stevens, just off hwy9. I've been here 3.5 yrs and each time we've experienced an outage, our power was restored w/n a very reasonable amount of time considering the ppl out of power and resources available. Also like the web site and text msgs to keep me informed as quickly as possible. Staff have always been helpful and respectful. ...decided to send this review due to the number of complaints. YES, There will always be legitimate reasons for why some things get done and others not but overall I feel heard and feel some folks are just too emotional when submitting a review. Those linemen, who work tirelessly, and those behind the scenes deserve consideration and our respect for doing a very dangerous job...at all times, day and night, AND holidays in, sometimes horrible weather. GIVE THEM A BREAK!

Not excited to be spending Christmas in the freezing dark, but it doesn’t seem PUD is on the ball. They make all kinds of promises and then don’t deliver. We’re freezing out here and we can’t get help.

they hold everyone by the short hairs and they know it. they only base every other bill off of actual use, second bill is based entirely off of their estimate (in other words they bill you for whatever they feel like in the odd months), and make it incredibly difficult to pay the bill. the "convenient" online options require me to change my login information each time I log in which is not a short process, and I have been told by pud employees they won't take payments. the entire system is made to rack up a bill because "what are you gonna do about it". I cannot wait to leave this county if nothing else to avoid doing business of any kind with pud

A one star review does not reflect the frustration the PUD, as a whole, left us every time we had to cooperate with them. PUD is full of negligent and incompetent workers who fail to leave notes of previous encounters that only opens more doors to future problems. We were paying a bill that should not have been under our name, we have tried to work with them to square away the situation last month. However, we were once again forced to pay bills that was supposedly fixed the last time we encountered them.We confronted them with our new situation, but due to no 'notes' they make after every encounter with dealing with their customers needs, we were left to involuntarily pay the bill once more. This time, we made sure the customer helper has left notes of our situation and ,hopefully, we never have to pay for the incorrect bills ever again. It is obvious that PUD is full of negligent, incompetent and lazy workers who does not care for the community or the prosperity of small businesses. In short; PUD is nothing but a corrupted organization, that does not care at all.

Any organization that has great concern for profit, and little concern for humanity, or for the welfare of children, should not be given preferential rights that are above the laws of this country. And please, install a homemade solar-panel electrical system to help put these punks out of business. But out of principle, do not buy one from them to support their cause. Get off the grid.
