“My story: My husband sent a package from Canada...
To save post cost, the clerk in Canada convinced him to use THEIR packaging. (He had 2 packages already addressed, that fit into their padded plastic envelop)
The problem: The clerk transposed the numbers in the address. (Always Check their work!!!)
The package showed a delivery day, time, and location (porch/front door)
Waited 1.5 weeks to see if it would be delivered past the stated delivery.
At no arrival, i went to the Hoyt location and talked with Manny (post manager). He was kind and knowledgeable. He was able to determine the address on the package was not the same as the intended address. (I hsd a trscking number) He expressed concern that people try to find their packages themselves, rather than letting the postal workers try first.
When I left, my hopes of getting the package was not high.. but a spark of hope remained. He took my number and name...
That same day, late afternoon/early evening, Manny called. They located the package from where it had been delivered to, and brought it to me. I could not be happier. The package was pictures from 1998 I could never replace.
Thank you Manny for actually following through. It's easy to say so, but have many other things come up and we forget little old ladies and their missing packages. You dug a little deeper to see the delivery through.
You and your staff made my day and made it a memorable 50th Birthday.”

“I just love visiting this place due to the wonderful and helpful woman who runs the front desk! I really wish I knew her name. I know she has told me in the past however it always passes me but she is always extremely helpful encouraging and has something nice to say! I do understand the post office gets busy however once I get in there and I am helped it’s easy and seamless and she’s just a joy to be around! “I called to inquire about a package that had not been delivered, apparently due to an incomplete address. My call was quickly answered by Diane who was very helpful and friendly. Diane took my information and said that I would be called back shortly, after they had a chance to research. I received a call back in about 10 minutes and the package was delivered later the same day. I don't often experience delivery issues, but it's nice to know that there is someone local that I can talk to when I do.The vast majority of the time our mail and packages are delivered in a reasonable time without issue, and we never give reviews for that. If folks are calling the Annex it's because there is a problem, so of course the majority of reviews here will likely be negative. Many postal workers put in a lot of hours due to understaffing to get our mail delivered to us under often stressful circumstances. Let's give them a break!”
