We're immensely grateful for Dr. Thoreson and his exceptional team for their outstanding care of our dogs. Being clients for about two years, we've experienced genuine dedication to our dogs' health and well-being. Their compassion and commitment make them a top-notch veterinary team. Highly recommended!

Klahaya is amazing! They take care of our Dog Izzy very well. Also prices are very fair, and we don't receive any guit trips, manipulations or judgments there. Thanks

The vet put my cat on anxiety medication and within a month she died from liver issues. The timing is just too odd. She was perfectly healthy before. We won’t be going back with our other cat.

We called about their listed breeder services (progesterone testing and AI) for our AKC and ABKC registered French Bulldogs as well as to get their hips tested and certified. Because our Frenchie is platinum colored (note: she IS registered with the AKC and ABKC), we were told that they will not work with breeders that have "non traditional colored Frenchies". So they are refusing to work with us because they do not approve of Frenchies being other than the standard traditional colors despite our good faith efforts to be ethical breeders. Clearly this vet is backwards in his operations. To top it off he is using an indigenous native word "Klahaya" as his clinic's name - which means "welcome" as a marketing technique that is the embodiment of cultural appropriation. His practices are also far from welcoming.

I noticed there are not a lot of new reviews…I’ve been a responsible and loving dog owner for 25+ years and having had to move around the country for past 7 years, have a lot of experience with Vetrinary clinics and rarely have I been so moved to provide a review- especially such a a negative one. Anyway, my appointment was extremely rushed- and he never mentioned anything about my momma Westies bumps all over her. I've owned Westies for years and they are prone to these but she has A LOT- and he never says a word. I paid for 2 appointments for my momma and daughter to get checkups and shots. They are seen together and I understand & don't have a problem paying for 2 appointments. I sent records ahead of appt & still they messed up what vaccines were needed. Vet spent less than 4 minutes total with us - (I checked my watch bc I was a little blown away by that) then we had to sit and wait in room for lobby to clear before being checked out. I called because my momma gets ear infections & they tell me they are so busy now that they only see dogs that are dropped off there. So now you can't even make an appointment and bring your dogs in as you normally would. IF you can even get an appointment within a few months- you have to drop your dog off and then come back to get them later because... Seriously??? No way am I going to leave my dog and not be present when Vet sees them so I can ask questions and understand the diagnosis and treatment. To me this seems to be OVERLY paranoid behavior about having more than one person in their lobby- they have a large one too. I had to get a refill for flea & tick and called ahead because they will not call a Rx into any pharmacies. Ok- so now I have to drive there to pick it up... When I pulled up they have signs in their windows telling us we have to call and wait to be allowed to come in. I called - was placed on hold for several minutes and then was told they would call me to come in as soon as they finished checking client out… ok… I had to leave work bc won’t call Rx in & not open weekends, etc but I’ll be polite and wait. Then I watch as THREE other customers pull up, park, ignore the signs and walk in with their pets. More than 25 minutes and 2 calls later- I just walked in when a customer finally came out. The girls at counter were rude and said they weren't the ones I spoke to when I called from outside so didn't realize I was waiting. I asked why the other customers didn't wait or why they wouldn't have asked them to step outside so the persons following their rules could be seen in order of arrival & again they were rude and said they can't help what other people do.... Wait, what?!??To me, they are not worth all these special rules - and ones not followed by all. I was NOT impressed... not at all.Adding postscript- they told me I could refill the flea & tick medication through Chewy. Well they refused to approve because I left this negative review. I find this immature and very unprofessional- I wasn’t overly rude or inflammatory… and I’ve NEVER had a single issue with any other Vetrinary clinic - not in the 25 yrs living here or in the 4 different cities over past 7 years and again- never any issues. And I’m not the one who continues to receive negative comments. Whenever I receive negative feedback I try to reach out and learn from it or resolve it- but I guess they didn’t feel the need- and it is their right. Caveat emptor!

P.S. Adding postscript - I left a factual review of services received. I wasn't overly inflammatory or rude- but yes, I left a harsh critique. Instead of contacting me to understand the situation or resolve- they choose to not approve my dogs flea & tick prescription when contacted by Chewy for the amount that I wasn't able to pickup the last visit.I find this immature and unprofessional at best. Whenever I receive feedback negative or positive- my practice is to reach out to understand the issues and resolve or at least learn from the situation. I guess they have more than enough clientele and don't feel they have any ownership for negative experiences. Must be a nice world to live in

Staff was friendly and helpful. The veterinarian answered ally questions and did not rush me through his business. I shall return when necessary. It was a great experience for my dog.

Nothing but great experiences with Klahaya. They handled my dog's TPLO surgery and everything went smoothly and she recovered with no issues. The cost was reasonable and included everything. Would recommend them to anyone.

5 stars for not being doodle friendly. Love seeing vets stand by ethical breeding practices.

Egregious add-on penalty fee of $36 for not having had my OFA forms completed at the time of the appointment for my dog Frisson’s hip X-rays. I was not informed that this was necessary when the appointment was made. Completely surprised by this outrageous fee. I was told that by not having the forms completed that I held up the X-ray process. I was at the clinic with a friend prior to her dog’s C-section. We were in the exam room at least an hour waiting for the second dog’s procedure. I completed the form and then it sat on the table. There was no hurry apparently. I was never told that such a fee would result if my forms were not ready when we checked in. When I protested to the veterinarian he backed up his staff insinuating that I was lying. I was told by Dr. Thoreson that if I didn’t like it I could look elsewhere for veterinary care. Outrageous.

This veterinarian is not doodle friendly. No reproductive services are available for doodles here. Even if they have had all the testing done ahead of time. So if you have a doodle, I would not feel comfortable bringing your dog here. If could 0 stars I would.
