I love REI. I needed shoes. Two different employees were there with insights and knowledge to help me find a great couple of options for my foot needs and also to match my activities. Then, because I am a member, I got money off of my purchase and I have a year to try my choice out to ensure they are the perfect shoes for me.

Great store for outdoor activities. They cover all sorts of human powered outdoor sports plus car camping. I was after a big backpack and a sleeping bag. The staff that helped me were great. The selection was considerably and the choices good.

I have never been so disappointed in an REI. Literally so little stock that the want you to order any shoe that isn’t black. There is so much open space they could put in more stock. What I am saying is that this store is supposed to support the whole Olympic Peninsula. Save time and just order what you need online.

This is by far the snottiest REI I’ve ever seen. Was ignored by most of the staff and most of the customers *literally* turned their noses up at me simply bc I didn’t wear Patagonia to the store, I guess.When I asked for help, I was immediately shown the clearance section bc they assumed I couldn’t afford anything else.Most other REIs I’ve gone to are down to earth, despite their expensive apparel and outdoor gear. I’ve had an REI account for 15 years and had this been my first store, I would never be back. I have no time and spoons for posturing.Sadly and understandably, this is the only REI in Kitsap County. I cannot believe they are so out of touch. I’d rather assume that I was discriminated against my assumed social status, rather than my race but honestly I’m not sure.

REI, shopping for school clothes is fun at REI! Let the kiddos try stuff on while I get to see what's coming in for Winter ski season. I think I've started a new tradition.
