STAY AWAY!!! I contacted Ms Vick for dress alterations a couple months before my wedding and explained what my needs would be. She instructed me to bring the dress to her a month before I needed it and felt confident that would be ample time to make the needed alterations. About a week before I was to pick the dress up, I called to confirm that things were going "as planned" and was told yes, that things were going good. The day I went to pick up my dress, Ms Vick had no idea what dress was even mine or what we were even doing to my dress. When I reminded her of what the plans were, she then told me that she would have everything done in the next 5 hours, which was concerning as to the quality of what the work would be. After some thought, I was fearful that she would ruin a $2000 dress and decided to pick it up with no alterations completed. When I went to pick up the dress, Ms vick was very apologetic and gave me $100 to put towards the alterations. I acknowledge her effort to rectify the situation, however, $100 does nothing to help me find a seamstress to complete the alterations 2 weeks before my wedding. I am a reasonable person and understand that mistakes happen but it seems to me based on reviews, this happens too often to claim to be a reliable alterations option. Dress alterations are a very important and time sensitive part of wedding planning and to claim to be dependable would require a system to be in place to ensure that this sort of thing does NOT happen.

So I feel inclined to state my experience with this lady since it was a nightmare. For starters, I had given my dress to her with the timeline of 6-8 weeks for sleeves to be put on the dress and the dress to be hemmed. Those 6-8 weeks came and went (red flag 1), so I decided to reach out, to which she had me come by to try it on the next day. I get there and she gave me the wrong dress (red flag 2). I then realized she had not even started on my dress since mine was still hanging up with the pins in the dress where they had been placed 8+ weeks ago with no alterations made. She realized this and all she said was for me to come back tomorrow. I was distraught but agreed out of last ditch effort. My husband being how upset he was spoke to Ms Vick and told her we weren’t going to pay if this was not done by tomorrow which I think is a fair trade off for terrible planning and very little care for the situation at hand. I come back the next day and basically Ms Vick had TORN OFF MY SLEEVE OF MY DRESS AND WAS DEMANDING AN APOLOGY FROM MY HUSBAND. An apology?! How about an apology to me, and how awful of a situation you have created for us? I never got a single apology for dropping the ball like you did. On top of that you damage my dress out of spite. My daughter and I dropped off her wedding dress on July 7th. We were very clear on what we needed altered (jacket and dress hemmed and lace inserted to the bust area). We called twice to check on the status and Ms. Vick said she was still working on August orders. My daughter is getting married tomorrow and we just picked up the dress today on 9/7. The jacket wasn’t hemmed and she didn’t alter the bust area. Ms Vick also said she would steam the dress and it was not pressed. It’s 4:05 pm and.now we have to scramble to figure how to fix the dress. Very, very disappointed.

Ms Vick is amazing! She altered my wedding dress years ago and now the dress I'm wearing in my sister's wedding! She's so kind, does quick yet excellent work, and her prices are affordable! As long as she's in business, I'll never go anywhere else for my alteration needs!

Ms. Vick is the nicest lady and an incredible seamstress. She did a wonderful job hemming and altering my wedding gown. She was an efficient worker and did a quality job even though it was done after I had hoped to get it. She promised to have it done in time to fly out for my wedding and made it happen.

Had the most amazing experience with Ms Vick. I came in needing alterations for a ball gown. She is so sweet, extremely talented and fair priced. The quality and speed of her work impeccable. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be back for the next event.

Amazing work! This sweet lady took wonderful care of me when I needed my wedding dress altered at the last minute. She lined the top of the dress for me so my shoulders were covered and hemmed the bottom to make it tea length. I was so anxious about it being perfect and she totally pulled it off! The dress was exactly how I wanted it! She is so caring and incredibly talented!
