Good price for Shell gas, just a 10-20 cents more than Costco.

I opted for this Richmond Beach Shell/Texaco station today, Monday 5 February 2024, as the price per gallon for regular/unleaded was less than $4.00 per gallon. One of the lowest prices in the area. Of recent, it has been consistently competitive with the 76 gas station roughly across Northwest Richmond Beach Road from this station. The pumping station/stalls were cleanly and the gas prices were clearly communicated. None of the pumps were out of commission that I saw. There was a food mart with a worker and other patron(s) inside. Pulling in and out of the station was straightforward with space to pull in/out both on Northwest Richmond Beach Road and 8th Avenue Northwest. Growing up, this was one of the gas stations my family used, primarily depending on the prices and its proximity to the house. If we were coming back from a longer trip, were tired, and just needed gas, this was also an option, being the closest gas station to the house.

Best pricing on Shell gasoline in the area (Shoreline/Edmonds). Facility is clean and organized. The owner if friendly and outgoing.

Looks like a zombie apocalypse happened here, no sign of life.

This place is basically shut down, it looks like an active gas station and I put my card and pin in but no gas came out! And the store was closed.

Just no. They are rude and unhelpful and routinely charge FIFTY CENTS a gallon more than the 76 right across the street.

When pumping gas never leave unattended because it's a flammable product!!! It's Common sense !!!

This is actually Richmond Beach Shell, not Texaco (it changed in 2005 or so). This is one of the most expensive gas stations in the area. With a quite unwelcome pseudo-convenience store, a 1950 farm style outdoor restroom and famous for horrible service. Even for Shell-enthusiasts, the prices are sticker-shocker: On the pictures below I compared within 1 hour the price with that of the closest other Shell station at Edmonds Way (about 2 miles away) and the difference is 50 cents per gallon resp. 14.32% or about $5 for a 10-gallon-refill. Just for getting a better price feeling: Costco charged $2.80 per gallon at same time, about 30% less. So: Don't come with your super-duty truck, except you are wealthy!

I'll never go to this gas station again. It's $15 more a tank than surrounding gas stations, but I made an exception because of location convenience in the snowy weather. My small son was in the backseat, and we make a game of guessing what a tank of gas will cost. We guessed $37. When I saw the total passed $45 I became concerned and opened the door to check. The gasoline was overflowing everywhere! The nozzle failed to turn off. I jumped out of the car and released the stuck handle, but gas continued to pore out of my overflowed tank onto the pavement. I went inside to tell the clerk what happened. The woman there acted frustrated, saying this had happened a bunch of times today, and didn't I know I was supposed to stand and hold the nozzle? She said she needed to get my insurance information so she could charge my insurance company for the damage. I was shocked. This was a malfunction of their machines, and one that had been apparently happening all day. She said there was a sign on the pumps, and I told her to come out and show me. Somehow, the sign couldn't be found and she said she knew it was on one of the machines somewhere. I said I wanted my money back, and she went to get her father who was a mechanic there. He told me he'd give me $2. I pushed back that $56 wasn't fair for 3/4 tank of gas in a Prius. His response was to get out of there quickly because his brother was "a giant a****** and you don't want to be there when he arrives." I'm a small woman with a preschooler in my car, so we left quickly. I felt threatened and robbed. I hope this doesn't happen to anybody else. This business is criminal.

Recently I had some work done at a local automotive chain. I quickly realized that they had done a poor job and was hesitant to go back. I was referred to RB Shell by a family member. I called the station and was able to get in the same day. I was relieved to have my oil gauge calibrated and both headlights replaced. I felt a bit embarrassed that the other place had overcharged me for low quality work. At all times the gentleman at Shell were kind and understanding. The work was done quickly on my car and the price was indeed fair. I wish I started my journey there in the first place. I will certainly go to see them if I need anything in the future.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Absolute safety hazard. They over charge you their pumps spill gas and the people that work there just blame you and disrespect you. I was there a few hours ago to get gas (mind you the gas there is not cheap for a crappy little place they have going) I put the pump in to fill the gas and it over filled my tank, didn't print my receipt, the employees along with the owner/manager just cleaned up the gas and pretended to not hear me. I payed 50 dollars to fill a Ford Focus. My car doesn't ever take more than 35 dollars to fill. I warn you DO NOT GO HERE it's a HUGE safety hazard!!!!!! If I could give them zero stars. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.

Shell has good quality gas but this gas station is absolutely tiny. You have to catch it at a time when it's almost completely empty otherwise there's not a lot of navigational mobility or places to pump gas. This is also made worse by the fact that this place just always looks like a parking lot, as junky-looking cars are always parked all around the entire complex. This wouldn't be nearly as frustrating if they were limited to the select few parking spots, but they're literally just parked everywhere -- I never figured out why, are they waiting to be repaired?

The owner of this place is extremely unprofessional. Took my car in for an oil change and it was only out of luck I overheard the OWNER instruct the mechanic to break something innocuous but expensive so they could charge over $1000 for it. DO NOT GET ANY SERVICE HERE. Okay and now the daughter of the owner just "warned" me about this review. Well, sorry honey I am not lying.
