Had to make an emergency stop here on my way to see my mom in the hospital. Brakes were failing and it was just a couple hours before closing on a Saturday. Not only did David and the mechanic diagnose the issue but they were also able to fix the car same day. Our 2009 Ford Escape needed new brake calipers, rotors, pads, and brake lines. Total came to just over $1500. I have no basis upon which to judge the price, but I super appreciate David and team getting us squared away the same day. David was kind, patient, and joked around with my 5 year old son. Thanks so much David and team for helping us out. I really appreciated it!

I knew my forester needed brakes, I had it diagnosed and quoted at the dealership. This place was recommended by someone who goes there for all their maintenance.
The service advisor, Dana, was attentive and he had an inspection done free. He came back and explained the brakes needed to be changed asap. I had the front and back rotors and brakes changed. $1435 for parts, labor and taxes. It was pretty much the same as I would have paid at the Subaru dealership. But they took me in same day, had me in and out in about two hours and it has a guarantee of 12k miles or 12 months whichever comes first.
The lobby and bathroom are filthy and the place needs a coat of paint. I would think twice before coming here again considering the price. I expected it to be expensive but not the same as the dealer.

Buckys Shoreline are the most considerate, kind, best mechanics around. I always get great service, very friendly service and top notch work. I won’t go anywhere else the mechanics take great care of my car. It’s nice to go to a mechanic where they know my car and keep it running. Awesome service and mechanics.

Gave these guys a call late on a Friday afternoon hoping to get a used vehicle inspection for a truck I was purchasing privately. They told me to bring it on down when I was ready, and they'd be able to squeeze me in. Dana was great and friendly on the phone when I called.
I showed up a little over an hour later with the truck. At that time, Dana was on the phone with another customer, who was having trouble getting to the shop to pick up their vehicle, and Dana went out of his way to take the time to go and pick the customer up and get them back to the shop, so they would have their vehicle over the weekend. Now that is some customer care and service!
Before he left, Dana recalled that we had chatted on the phone, and handed me off to David, who was also great. We filled him in on our situation, what we were looking for from the truck, and our concerns. He told us that they'd be done in about an hour. Before we had wrapped up our initial conversation, he had already handed the keys off to another technician to get started.
After a brief coffee break, my wife and I were back at Bucky's and they were finishing up. David gave it to us straight about things with the truck - potential oil leak, status of the brakes, how the truck ran in the stages of their test drive, and what potential repairs we would be looking at in the coming years if we decided to buy the truck, which even with the minor issues he recommended and said he would buy it if he were in our position.
I don't live in the Shoreline area but Bucky's will be on my short list of places to take my vehicle to if I'm in the area. Heck, if my other local-to-me guys aren't available or start to give me issues, I may very well be traveling to have these guys work on my vehicles.

The good part about this shop is, as their motto says, “modern technology paired with old school service.” You don’t need an appointment to show up. If you happen to bring your own part, they will work on your car with it but at a slightly higher cost for labor. If you know your vehicle well and do most of the maintenance on it, and you’re in a very specific situation with fixing something, Bucky’s can be a real lifesaver.
However, for anything out of that realm, spend your money elsewhere. Ace Auto Tire Repair Pros is a mechanic’s shop with 4.8 stars and they’re friendlier, far less shady, and cheaper since they’re honest mechanics who don’t aggressively try to upsell you.
Bucky’s put a bad taste in my mouth when I went there to get an AC service. They did one thing very well: instead of just running my AC for their 15-minute standard testing, they ran it for 31 whole minutes before my AC Condenser kicked the can and revealed where my freon leak was coming from.
What did they do badly? The technician called me and tried to upsell me. He told me I had a leaky radiator and needed an oil change. That was really weird to hear, considering I flushed my coolant and changed my oil less than a week before coming here. I asked him why he thinks that. Here’s what he said:
“Well, there’s coolant in your engine bay and your oil maintenance light is on.”
The reason there’s coolant in my engine bay, Bucky, is because I drained my coolant and my car’s coolant drain plug is in a bad spot that causes coolant to get all over the bottom of my engine bay. I didn’t bother cleaning it up. My oil maintenance light was something I was too lazy to turn off.
All I’m saying is, he didn’t look into either problem whatsoever and just hoped I was some dumb teenager who didn’t know anything about his own car.

I just got a used car and brought it in for an inspection and the man Dana(I think that’s how to spell it) was all over the place. Paid 160$ for a diagnostic read and never received what it said, Dana only told me what was wrong and what it needed . new serpentine belt, and timing chain ..spent over $2,200. That man made feel horrible. He kept Changing the price and and telling me he couldn’t remember. I have been going to Bucky’s for 17 years and never experienced the pure disrespect that Dana showed me. He even threatened me telling me I could not pick up my car that evening and I would have to come back the next day, after upping the price. Good thing I had the quote in writing.. horrible customer service

On July 2023 I went to Bucky’s in Shoreline to have my 2019 Honda Civic AC refill. I have the receipt to prove it. The AC did not work. I went back to Bucky’s and the Manager Dana said it would cost $250 to check for leaks. he said it would cost additional four or five hours of labor at $150 an hour.I went to O’Reilly auto parts store in Shoreline and the nice employee help me test my AC and it showed low. I bought a can of AC for $120 to refill and it worked. Bucky’s is a rip off…!!

My father is 99, and he wanted his 1990 Ford ranger up and running. I took it to Bucky’s in Shoreline. They were very helpful with what repairs it needed. Quick to get the job done. Had it back in under 24 hours. The staff there were very friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this Location.

Really great service and reasonable rates! Had my front and rear brakes done, only took a couple of hours and I showed up without calling ahead. I cannot recommend them enough, I’d give them another star if I could! David was at the front counter, super friendly guy!
They’ve got a soda machine and restrooms in their waiting area as well as a tv, so waiting isn’t a problem!
