I used to take my cars solely to Stacys in Shelton. After my last 2 experiences, I will never return. I am shell-shocked right now at how absolutely terrible the repairs on my vehicle turned out. After tolerating the rattles, shakes, and tremors for months, I am fresh off of finally breaking down and letting the dealership fix it. Now I have a much lighter wallet. The last vehicle Stacys worked on for me, they replaced all four struts in my vehicle. The parts apparently were improperly installed and caused significant additional damage. The quote given initially only covered half of the job I described. I returned to have the rest of the job done fully accepting I must have misunderstood the initial quote. After the second set, my vehicle was never the same. I gutted it out for a while and I even replaced wheels and tires assuming that the new parts couldn't possibly be the problem. Because of the overall experience, there was little chance I was going to trust putting the vehicle back in their hands so I had to have the dealership replace the struts again along with the additional damage to the suspension parts. In the end, it was over $7000 for a job that should have been around $2500. I really used to respect and trust Stacys, but they just don't seem interested in providing a great service and experience for their customers. Of course, this is my opinion and there is always a possibility that my experience was not the norm, but I also communicate with other family members and friends that have had similar, albeit less catastrophic experiences and also have stated to me that they will not return to this shop.

Helped me out when my truck had to get towed They worked on it the same day and got me back on the road. It was a small issue and they didn't even charge me. Very kind and incredible service! If I'm ever back in Shelton, I'm going to be taking my truck back there!

I used them for 2 different car related things. One was a repair that another place quoted me about twice the price. I felt that their work was good quality and I will definitely use them again when I need a car repair.

These guys were fast, knowledgeable, and most of all, work on older and classic cars. They did an amazing job on my 1972 Oldsmobile Toronado and got all work accomplished in an extremely efficient manor. Cost was on part with a typical mechanic shop, but they were able to keep me informed on any changes and cost adjustments as the work was done. Will always bring my classic to these guys in the future.

Went there and had appointment for early morning, they had 2 hrs worth of work to do, they didn't start working on my truck till I got there at 330 and then since it took them so long they tried to charge me 8 hrs labor. Place is a rip off they will always over charge you. And nothing ever is fixed when you leave thereService: Engine repair

Won't be going back. After spending over $400 and not getting anything I asked for done, I've had enough. I don't even have a working stereo now, it worked when I dropped it off but not when I picked my vehicle up. When questioned about it I got "We didn't do anything to the radio.". Well something happened in the time my vehicle was at their establishment. It's not the same shop that it used to be.
