The staff seemed helpful but the owner was so mean to the guy helping me, when I asked if he was talking to me or the assistant the owner informed me he owned the store and asked WHAT IF he was talking to me, I sat down my items and will never be back! Then he proceeded to insist on walking me out, to which I stood my ground and the true bully in him froze.... what a piece of work

Owner was so rude to his employee, then when I asked if his comment was directed at me he stood as tall as possible, informed me he OWNED THE STORE, then said so what if it was, I walked out, while he followed with his chest puffed, about cost him more than just a customer, never have I been treated like that, absolutely do NOT RECOMMEND

I'd give it 00000 stars if I could. I went in looking for a sheet of wood to make a wild cat a house for winter.I found one the perfect size and it had been jammed way back so it was cracked, warped and scuffed with some old lint stuck on one side.The regular price was $29.00With all that damage it was MAYBE a $10 piece of wood.I asked the register lady if she could discount it. She Saif no she had to wait for manager. No problem, and within minutes here comes the manager entering unpleasantly with snide remarks to her staff.They explain to her that I was looking to see if it could be discounted.This grouchy gremlin says "can do 10%"Not even $3! This crabcake then proceeds to say "I'll send it back to the warehouse for a full refund of my money"Lie lie lie!!! She didn't have the bearing of one who is even marginally proactive. If she was, she'd of known that board was back there ROTTING.Besides I can't stand that whole "me, mine, i" like she's Mrs. Ace herself!Anyway I know that board went straight to the dumpster and that unpleasant small minded woman has lost a customer along with such petty behaviorI'll just keep my business at Tractor Supply where the people are pleasant and the prices are better!

I get bombarded by a man every aisle I walk down, as if I cannot find anything on my own. I always get in, get my items, and get out. I appreciate customer service, but enough is enough!

This place reminds me of a storefront hardware store in Queens N.Y.. Packed to the rafters with all kinds of various tools, hardware, garden, paint... Everything!! Team of elder experts stocking items and offering assistance & expertise.

Time after time the Tosier (ACE) hardware in Shelton Washington disappointe with un learned clerks and management that have a complete learning disability in customer service. Lazy and unknowable staff and Terri (manager) just as ignorant. Do better or close your business.

I've always wanted to give this store a great review. But I don't like being stood over while I shop and fallowed to the counter like I'm a criminal! Especially when I have NEVER given ANY reason for it. I pay for Every item I get. While I have sympathy and understanding for the uptick in theft and how bad it truly is everywhere . There is a line. You can watch me from afar.. if your that concerned. I mean almost everywhere let's you know you're every move is being watched but at least the other stores do it with a smile . This is a smaller business and I understand the loss is most likely much harder to recover from. But in my opinion there are probably better ways . Just saying.

So the port orchard ace is a 5star place the shelton ace is a 3 star due to its cramped and tools are all locked up got to wait for some one to let you in the gate then literally hover over you while you are looking. Also they are higher then the port orchard ace Belfair ace is 5 star as well.

After looking at 3 other places I was so happy to find dark leafy greens & some herbs. Also love their selection of Milwaukee power tools, I was able to find the hedge trimmer attachment I had been looking for. Staff was very helpful although most of them had no idea what I was looking for/ talking about. They still escorted me around the store & garden center and ensured I found what I was looking for.

A few years back we swung in to check out the tractors on the side of the street in Shelton. It was great speaking with Art Tozier about tractors and the power options etc. This business has full owner engagement with their business and customers. I can call and get "live" help every time I am needing assistance. I bought a Kubota tractor and implements from Tozier Brothers. I have recommended others in the market for a new tractor to Tozier's Brothers

The lack of adequate Customer service at this Ace location absolutely baffles me. The sales associates are impatient and not interested in truly serving their community. Next time I need a hardware store, I’ll drive to Olympia before shopping here again.

Spent more time wanting me to get his Linkin profile read. ? was Terrible be cause my indeed app would not print in his network protectionPrinted quicksilver fast when I left the propertyTried to check on a return. I had done his bookkeeper was not only rude. But the queen bee. Employee's spoke low and soft when she was brow beating another deaf customer because she had to call him to her registerWas awful. The owner was kind the tension in the store was sad. I can understand why the were under staffedAnd thank God didn't go to work for them

This Ace hardware is more expensive than most other places in town and is a little over stuffed with items.However, the helpfulness of the staff and the friendliness of the cashiers who remember you and your family each time you come in make this feel more like a small town hardware store and give it a welcoming atmosphere.The stores only draw back; not having very competitive pricing, reducing the amount of business others might do here instead of driving out to Olympia to patron the big box stores.I will say this location does have a nice selection of plants and other seasonal items that can be very convenient.The parking is a little tight, but the across the street nursery gravel parking is much easier for larger vehicles and makes up for the on-site parking.
