Absolutely fantastic customer service!! I came in looking for a very particular piece. Right away, a staff member helped me look, and when we figured out it wasn't available, provided some options. I'm so grateful forbthe extra time he took to help me find a solution.

I'm a long time Woodcraft customer here, having shopped at their original store in Woburn, MA back in the '80s. Overall, the quality of their products and customer have been excellent, so this latest experience has left me scratching my head. I ordered a metric brad point drill set and it arrived quickly, but the plastic drill case had broken in shipment. I contacted customer service and they sent a return label and shipped a replacement. Well, the replacement also arrived with a broken plastic case, so I suggested they just send an empty case as it was the larger drill bits sliding around in the case during shipping that were breaking the case. They agreed, and here's where it falls apart. While the first set and the replacement were both shipped to my current address, they somehow shipped the empty case to and old address where I haven't live for years. I caught this in an email from UPS when it was shipped and contacted customer service immediately. I was told that they would redirect the shipment, but that was a couple of weeks ago, and still no case or any response from Woodcraft Customer Service. I've ordered a metal drill index case from and industrial supply vendor...

Huge supply of Festool, Fein, Lathes, wood carving tools, clamps, and tons of stuff you won't find at a hardware store. They have a larger and more diverse supply of everything than Rockler. I generally go to Rockler because it's closer to me, but for ultimate selection, Woodcraft is da sheet

My husband and I attended a chopsticks making class by Jeff Marsden on 7/2/22. I was able to find this class by looking online at the website and calling to sign up. My husband was interested in the concept of woodworking, and this was a fun beginners class to start exploring woodworking. Jeff was an incredible instructor, and was very kind and easygoing. He first introduced us to the varieties of woods available for us to work with (Sapele, African Blackwood, Leopardwood, Hardwood, Maple) and gave a clear demonstration of how to use the tools to make the chopsticks. In addition to the chopsticks, we also made chopsticks holders and a bonus item- a sushi board. We learned what it meant to "buff" the items, which made our wood items amazingly smooth. We even got a complimentary mineral oil for our wood items & chopstick bags! -There were 4 other people in the class with us, and we split up into 3 different stations and rotated accordingly. Jeff alternated in checking in with every station to help/further demonstrate and teach, and readily answered questions. -My husband and I were able to make multiple chopsticks and chopstick holders. The class lasted 3 hours and every minute was well enjoyed. We would highly recommend a class with Jeff!

It's a nice store with experienced staff. Prices tend to be more than most woodworking stores.

Something’s up with this store recently. Customer service has been hard to come by on my recent visits and my last visit was terrible. Website says they close at 6. I got there before 4:30, browsed for half an hour without being offered any help and was unable to find what I was looking for. Apparently they had decided to close at 5. The young kid that was working did his best to find me what I was looking for once I finally got some help at about 10 minutes to 5. I mentioned a couple of times that it looked like they were closing early as the manager (before disappearing entirely) was hauling in stuff from the sidewalk, but the kid told me not to worry about it. With his help we managed to find most of what I was looking for by about 5 minutes after 5. I went there when I did, despite the 45 minute drive because they were supposed to be open until 6.) I asked about one more item I couldn’t find, and the other guy behind the counter refused to check if they had it or to even let the kid check. I had noticed him earlier bullying the kid, who had a bit of a stutter, so I was already on alert about this guy. He was so confrontational that I left the $1,000 of product I was ready to buy on the counter and left. I felt bad for the kid who was standing there with his head down while the other guy let me know that him getting home a couple minutes earlier was more important than my business. Look, I have worked in stores. If someone is shopping when the store ‘closes’, especially if they already have several purchases ready to go, you do what you can to expedite getting them what they need. You don’t refuse to help them. If anything, you are more polite and help them more than normal so you can close up. This isn’t hard to understand and any brick and mortar store these days really needs to focus on customer service if they want to survive.
